    WWE Raw - January 26, 2009

I could totally see that happening. Shane seems to be a solid fit as a manager for Orton and Legacy as a whole, given he is a next generation guy. But I wouldn't be surprised to see Shane turn sooner than No Way Out or the night after it. In fact, part of me wonders if the horrible angle they did last night was essentially a smokescreen to then swerve into the turn happening next week already (Shane admitting that he and Legacy planned this all along to make people think one way), leading to Orton then being forced to give up his title shot at Mania by being a part of the Elimination Chamber instead.

    Caylee Anthony Case

Yes, and in rebuttal he is actually making a motion to get the current prosecutors thrown off the case, which will never happen. I've always had some gut instinct that this defense attorney is a real snakey fucker and probably is doing all kinds of unethical things in reality, since he knows she's guilty and he might as well capitalize while he can. Latest word on all of this is that more evidence is tying into it being Casey. The blanket found inside the bag with the skeletal remains is the same blanket package that is a part of one found back at the home. Another sick thing recently revealed is that a knife was actually found in the bag as well. So what the fuck....she knocked out the child with chloroform, then wrapped her head up in duct tape (yes, the ENTIRE head) and then stabbed her as well? Jesus christ. In what was an inevitable thing, the grandparents attorney has gone to the media as well and now has stopped defending Casey anymore, so the grandparents have officially had enough of trying to stick up for her. They are now angling to set up a personal "meeting" with just the grandparents and Casey, presumably to try to convince her to just stop this shit and admit what she did. Now it just comes down to the brother, who I still think is involved in this somehow.

Weekend Box Office Report Jan 23-25

I actually really liked the first two Underworlds, but just got out of this new prequal, and wow, absolutely dull and boring as it gets. The vibe of the whole film is horrible (probably since its more of a medieval theme they were going for) and it begs the question why they even felt this was worth even doing when alot of the films premise was shit that was already revealed in the first two films in the first place. Speaking of falling asleep, I dozed off for about 15 minutes during this one....that can tell you how shitty it was. Felt like one of those thrown together straight to DVD followups to what was, before, a pretty solid franchise being developed.

    TNA Impact - January 29, 2009

I'm getting bad visions of a redux of that horrible NWO Nitro episode where the faction took over and it just became a romper room of absurdity. This just sounds stupid as hell on paper, especially that once the show got back in "control" it just seems to get worse sounding from the spoilers. Wow, go TNA (note sarcasm). Since Nash was nowhere to be found on this show, one can assume not only is Joe/Nash held off the next ppv, but Joe probably won't be coming back for a little while longer now. Probably for the best anyway, as it seems the company is in full burial mode of most of their roster. Nobody is really getting over here anymore.

Hey its not that I want to see that exactly, I'm just going by what appears to be a potential booking idea from what I can see.

    WWE Raw - January 26, 2009

I thought that Shane was going to shake hands with Orton when he walked out there, given the long staredown and whatnot. Instead it indeed was a ridiculous debacle that really didn't get anyone over but the guy it really shouldn't at this point. Also a bit confused how they will play into the Steph/Shane heat into some sort of turn down the road here, it still wouldn't surprise me to see Shane join up with Legacy. Either that or I'm betting that its Ortons Mania title shot against Shane at No Way Out, Orton keeps it if he wins and and if Orton loses, Shane gets to pick who to take him on at Mania instead of having a match for the title, and cue Austin..... If the Rumble title shot is kind of "lost" this year if Orton somehow doesn't get it, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see them do a title for title unification title match to merge the WWE and WHC together at this point. Cena/Undertaker could be that match, or whatever two guys end up champion after the EC matches.

    ROH On HDNet

I'm really looking forward to this since I have HDNet, and from the sounds of it, HDNet will handle all ends of production, which is nothing but a great thing for the company at this point. Question is if they actually are making any money off this or not......even if they aren't, this can't hurt.

    Prison Break

Showtime is doing basically the same idea as a female Prison Break, as it's already in development, so I highly doubt that will happen. Read in EW this week that since the show was greenlit for a total of 22 episodes this season, and they are only going to air 6 more, there may be enough footage and production time to still put together a finale two hour TV movie or something, since apparently they have filmed extra footage to tie up more loose ends and whatnot.

    Caylee Anthony Case

They weren't initially, but then when they found the body, and details behind the remains, they are more than likely going to.
  11. RedJed

    Caylee Anthony Case

Well, she definately is a sociopath (biggest evidence of that is the videotaped footage of her mother and father visiting her in jail months ago and how she spins being the REAL victim, etc) but it's not like she doesn't think she isn't being smart.
  12. RedJed

    Caylee Anthony Case

God damn, this case just keeps getting more and more twisted. I feel an enormous sense of empathy towards the grandparents at this point, but I'm really thinking the brother may have been in on it somehow with Casey, either before or after the death of Caylee I'm not sure though. The case seems to be signed, sealed, and delivered as a guilty verdict after what came down this week on some details of what was found in and around the decomposed body of the little girl. Apparently there was a heart sticker that was attached to either the duct tape that was covering the skull of the child (which was the same stickers that were on the mother's laptop they seized) and they found a particular laundry bag that matched with others at the home of the mother. There's no question now (like there ever was, really) that Casey Anthony killed her own child. She might as well just admit it at this point, since she nearly caused the suicide of her own father now, and the longer she holds out, the harder this is going to be for the family. An admission of murder is probably the only way she can avoid the death penalty also at this point, if she's lucky. Sick ass shit. The only question at this point is how premeditated this murder really was. It's still somewhat possible that the mother accidentally killed her somehow (by making her pass out with chloroform to just be able to go out some night or something, and then the next day realizes she actually killed her and then starts doing damage control) but chances are this was a long term plan of action here. Ugh.

    Saw V - Opening October 24th

Yeah, but in both Amanda and Hoffman's cases, they both BECAME murderers, it wasn't that they were psycho killers before they started being Jigsaw's apprentices.

    IMPACT! Spoilers for 1/22/09

Just as an FYI, they want to do Nash/Samoa Joe at Against All Odds (and I would assume that would be the main event then, since the world title match is so weak sounding on paper) but it's up in the air due to Nash's condition. They should know this coming week during the tapings if that match is a go or not.

    IMPACT! Spoilers for 1/22/09

Yeah, that was one of the worst, if not THE worst, 2 hour Impact ever. It wasnt so much as it was retarded booking more than it was just paint by numbers, boring as hell, and plain unentertaining. I honestly fast forwarded through it so much on my DVR that I think it only took me 20 minutes to skim through the shit. The tables match was acceptable fare, but easily the worse Styles/Angle match I've seen. The Morgan turn was just so matter of factly done, talk about killing that idea dead in the water. And another redux of Shane Sewell getting beat down by the arrogant heels. It was much better the first time. The rest of the show was just predictable garbage that didn't advance shit in the main faction wars angle, and instead just put it at a virtual standstill. Foley was nowhere to be found on the show as well for some odd reason. And the other matches, such as the X division four way and the Knockouts crap, was just weak as fuck. The easiest whiskey tango foxtrot moment of the night had to go to the Dudley interview "from Japan" where the audio feed cut out, and Tenay cuts to break like this is a shoot and they are live. But they're not. Why in the fuck didn't they fix this? Or is this some angle, such as the MEM taking out the audio feed in the truck? If so, how weak is that?

    TNA Genesis 2009

The alternate idea for the six man main event sounded WAAAAAAAY better to me, that's all I know. There was a spot in the Observer too about some thought given to calling up Rick Steiner for the match last minute also, instead of using Kip.

    WWE Raw - January 19, 2009

A little late posting thoughts, but that had to be one of the better go-home to the ppv type Raws in years, if you ask me. The ending segment was tremendous stuff all around, and most of the rest of the show was easily entertaining as hell. Punk/Regal was an awesome TV match highlighted by a sick ass head drop by Regal to Punk there that reminded me of 90s All Japan style. Hell, even the backstage segments were actually good and had a point to everything.

    On Going IMPACT! Spoilers

Actually, the way he is talking now IS more Booker T than he has ever been. Don't you remember Harlem Heat? Thank god that BP-Palin segment didn't end the show....I figured they just had to have taped out of sequence. It was as bad as I thought it was going to be, that is for sure. Otherwise, the show was better than it appeared on paper (as usual). The heat, at least in Orlando, seems to be stronger than anticipated for where things stand now with the main faction war angle. Buh Buh and Petey's returns were way more bigger than they had any right to be, and gave the show some good spots of Frontline actually getting over, which is rare. I'm totally not sold on Buh Buh and D-Von as singles guys, though, and the anticipated plans for the main event of the next ppv relating to that idea sounds horrible. I could maaaaaybe buy Buh Buh as a singles guy, but not as a main eventer, nor challenging for the world title. As far as the Hernandez/Sting stuff, that definately was good and I would much rather see them throw Hernandez into that world title match at the next ppv than either Dudley. They should follow up properly from the schmoz finish of that match by giving him another title shot in no time.

    WWE Raw - January 12, 2009

Regarding an idea of Austin/Jericho, I just dont see it happening. The only match Austin would probably do at this point is something like Austin/Cena or something significant like that. I'm still thinking Jericho will hook himself up with Vince and take on someone who sides with Steph, for Mania. Or we could see a three way deal with Orton (who gets Shane to join Legacy as their manager) v. Jericho (with Vince) v. ????? (Kennedy perhaps, with Steph).

    On Going IMPACT! Spoilers

Damn, those spoilers sound really bad in some parts. Particularly, the Beautiful People segment (which presumably ends the show? WTF) sounds just beyond atrocious, and really makes the payoff for that whole angle really stupid. One can imagine Tenay and West will be laughing their ass off in commentary but nobody else will. So is Daffney then going to wrestle here, I don't get it. Hernandez-Sting sounds good, but then that leads to LAX then just being overshadowed by a Dudley reunion run-in? Again, where is Joe.....and they seem to suggest the Dudleys as singles is something that is a good thing, but it's not. LAX is one thing, Duds are another. No mention of Jarrett so one must assume he will do an injury angle for a good while, and then come back to lead to the rubber match with Angle. With Nash out with his injury (which I wouldn't think would keep him out too long) I really think they could have Morgan turn heel on Abyss and join up with the faction.

    ECW - January 13, 2009

Hmmm, surprised they did a title switch here, and just didn't save it for the Rumble or something. Wonder what they will do with Swagger at Mania? Seems like Dreamer will slow build to a title shot at One Night Stand in six months, which is odd for them to already start that storyline. Not that I'm complaining though, they might as well try with him one of these times.

    TNA Genesis 2009

Jarrett/Angle was probably one of the best matches I've seen in years in TNA in terms of pure solid storytelling goes, it really told that story in the ring and the ends justified the means in a sense in how well done Jarrett and Angle projected the intensity of the feud (or at the least the intended nature of it) into this match as it was a stiff brawl with some really crazy spots. That bell shot to Jarrett looked like it smacked him hard in the forehead with the end of the wood panel on it, just looked brutal. Then Jarrett completely misses the table basically on the highspot from the stage. Sick looking post-match attack on the ankle there too. All in all, that made this ppv memorable enough for sure. The undercard was atroctious as spots with Bashir/Shane and the six chick matches really being duds, to a pretty damn solid X division title match and a decent enough tag title match. But there is no question that the show definately peaked at Jarrett/Angle, as Rhino/Sting was ok, but basic. Thought there was going to be a Joe run-in there. The six man main event then was one of those things where it would have made the match better if they wouldnt have dropped the bottom out of the match before it even began with Kip James as the Nash replacement. It was like Savio Vega 98 only ten times more pathetic. They should have just done AJ/Foley against Booker/Steiner, really. The heat was next to nothing up until the match got restarted and then took off a bit to end the ppv on a semi-decent note, at least. But defiantely an underwhelming debut for Foley's TNA wrestling stint. So if Nash wouldnt have got hurt (which I am stiff baffled that its actually legit) he would have took that table bump for AJ? Yeah, right.

    WWE Raw - January 12, 2009

I had a ticket to the show but we got a damn snowstorm really bad around here today, and the highway was actually closed down to get to Sioux City, IA from where I was at, unless I wanted to take a really long detour in a blizzard. So ended up starting to drive down there (it was a few hours away), and then having to turn back, missing the show, too bad since I thought it was a pretty good show. That Austin video package was one of the more well done ones I've seen WWE do in awhile. Job well done there. The Legacy beatdown was one of the stronger angles I've seen on TV in weeks. It's going to be hard keeping them booked as heels, as they are really getting over. Jericho fired was completely out of the blue, makes me think either Vince rehires him next week (and starting up a family feud type deal with Vince/Jericho v. Steph/?????) or he goes to Smackdown and has a match at Mania with Kennedy, or something. Matches were hit or miss (although I would have been pissed to see that Punk/Regal match live at the arena) other than Michaels/Cena, which was a great ppv calibur match, just a few steps below their Mania one. Hell, after watching it again, I may think even better of it. Great nearfalls there and the overall build was top notch.

Pretty bad match that was. Yikes. Hopefully that was the blowoff, I'm glad it appeared to be booked that way.

    TNA Genesis 2009

Ouch, I guess I was dogging on Nash incorrectly in my other post. That sounds messed up. I figured TNA was inflating a no-show appearence for Nash to make it sound more serious. He's just missed so many pay per views due to a last minute WTF scenario of an injury that I thought he was just being a titbaby about something regarding the match, or just simply that he didn't feel the point of bothering if it was going to be not for his benefit. But I stand corrected if that is in fact a very serious situation as it sounds like.
