Gail Kim wins thanks to Angelina Love tipping Roxxi over with the ladder. Somewhere in the middle of this, Roxxi started bleeding, hardway of course. Roxxi is getting her hair shaved and has a HELL of a gash on her forehead from bumping against a ladder corner, I think.

Angelina Love is actually helping Gail Kim try to win the match, to save her hair. Damn, Roxxi and Kim are really going at it here, stiff spots on the ladder for women standards. Velvet Sky is also out now, trying to prevent Roxxi from winning.

Roxxi and Gail Kim are the final two, so they will have a ladder match. Angelina Love will be the alternate, so if Roxxi wins the match, then Love will have her head shaved. We'll see what happens, I think Love is going to be the one who will get the shave. That was kind of unexpected.

LAX over Styles and Super Eric, when Hector Guererro pushes Homicide over to reverse a small package by Styles for the win. So its LAX v. 3D for the tag titles. Women's battle royale/ladder match is up. OBD has gotta be losing her hair.

3D over Rhino and Christian, ok match, better than I thought it was going to be. Finish was Devine running out and distracting the ref while Buh Buh hit Rhino with a kendo stick for the pin. Both Christian and Rhino were selling Booker T's beatdown from earlier. Nash is going to confront Joe apparently in an upcoming segment in between matches. Styles/Super Eric v. LAX up.

The Terrordome was a really strong match by X division standards, I'm sure they will do that again. Lots of top rope spots, and a few dives from near the top of the cage. Kaz ended up winning, so that means we got Kaz v. Joe v. Steiner later. The spectacle of the new cage was really something. Team 3D v. Christian/Rhino up.

Wow, Cornette just comes out before the match and announces that whoever wins this match will be put in Angle's spot tonight against Joe and Steiner for the world title, in addition to getting an X division title match, for winning Terrordome. That was totally out of nowhere! You would have to think that they will try to give Lethal a rub by putting him over here, leading to him being matched off with Steiner and Joe as well later. I'm hoping Curry Man wins it....just for the hell of it. Kaz is also in this Terrordome match and could easily win this. I will say this much, there has been a handful of things they are doing on this show that I didnt expect, such as Angle off the show, this new stip, Booker T turning heel, etc, etc.

I wish, but it didnt happen. Kong looked good in there against Styles, though. Otherwise, the match was pretty standard. The finish was way way botched though. Styles was supposed to do a springboard splash on BG James, but fell off the ropes and may have broken his nose in the process. Then you could hear James talking to Styles telling him to roll him up, and that was the improv finish. Terrordome is now, should be interesting to see how this goes. The cage is basically a red steel cage surrounding each side, akin to the same material WWE used to have for their blue cage device from the 80s and 90s. Once all the guys get in the ring, it looks like the top of the cage (a half ellipse cage with a hole on the top of it as the only way to win is by exiting through that) will be lowered.

Morgan and Kip James start arguing, which leads to Hernandez pinning James. Styles is cutting an interview and Angle, out of nowhere, starts getting in Styles face bigtime about the Karen thing. Looks like they are starting to build Styles/Angle up again here. Super Eric and Styles v. Kong and BG James up.

Oh and before the match Scott Steiner and Kevin Nash were interviewed and Steiner promised Nash the first title shot if he turned on Joe during the match to help him win the belt. Nash said he'd think about it.

"Mega Star" Kip James (horrible gimmick with horrible new wrestling trunks to boot) and Matt Morgan are against LAX (w/ Hector Guererro tonight) next.

Roode gets gored by Rhino, very basic match, Booker and Roode argue during most of the bout. So Christian and Rhino presumably meet 3D later in the show. Booker shakes Rhino and Christian's hands in the middle of the right after the match, and then goes out and grabs a chair, turning on both of them with chairshots. We got our official Booker T heel turn here. Booker then walks to the heel side of the entrance ramps instead of the babyface side, which is a subtle nice touch to the turn apparently someone booked particuarly.

Dudleys over Sting and Storm, I wasnt paying attention to the end that much but I know most of the match, Storm wouldn't tag in at all, then Sting finally was able to force him to tag and from that point, Storm took the pin, and went through a table even. Apparently Sting, in tagging Storm, slammed him through a table, and D-Von pinned Storm after that. Like I said before I missed the finish, but just read a recap from another site on it. Frank Trigg was interviewed and talked alot about Angle's injury (said he is helping Angle rehab right now) and his analysis of Steiner/Joe, guess he's announcing the main event again w/ West and Tenay. Roode and Booker T are against Christian and Rhino right now, which means the other Deuces Wild random team will be Awesome Kong and BG James. I would have rather seen Roode/BG James and Kong/Booker T, but whatever.

I actually ordered the show, but try Sopcast, they usually have the ppv stream on there somewhere.

Funniest unintentional spot of the night so far, the cameras pan the audience cheering after the fireworks go off to start the show and they show a young kid crying histerically. Dudleys v. Sting and James Storm to start the show.

Angle is out of the ppv match tonight, just announced at the outset of the ppv. He cut a promo pretty much putting himself over, went over his past injuries and how he used to work through them, but not this time around I guess. So its going to be Steiner v. Joe after all. Cool. I'm still hoping for Kong/Booker T to take the tag titles here tonight. Or LAX.

Why? I wouldn't even bother going at all if it was complete CGI, that much I know.

Like the consensus, I will be checking this out only because its in the IMAX and also, under heavy influence of mary jane for sure. Otherwise I'm sure this flick would annoy me to no end if I just saw it in a regular crappy theatre completely sober. I'm shocked they actually didn't do a 3D release of this, as a movie like this looks just perfect for that technology.

    Full Impact spoilers for 5/8

Yeah, its for the contendership to the X title, which means it sounds like Petey is going to continue to hold the title until he heals up a bit, so I would imagine no X title defense til Slammiversary for him. I'm still convinced that intially, the Terrordome idea appeared to be for the ladies. Cornette first brought it up when bitching about the attitudes of the women, and then last week during the vignette on the TD, the announcer said "women." So they changed it up apparently, which is way for the better. That should be a fun match for sure. So at the ppv we have a really weird 8 team tag tournament that could either be hit or miss dependant on the booking of it, a 10 man Terrordome match, a 10 women ladder match, and a three way for the title. I will say this much, this ppv may possibly turn into a clusterfuck given the unique gimmicks and ideas they have attached to most of these matches, but it sure is certainly different on paper than most run of the mill throwaway ppvs. Heavy on gimmicks and stipulations, but I like the unpredictableness that the Deuces Wild tournament is providing here. We'll see how it turns out on Sunday....I have a feeling the main event will be strong, the tag tournament is probably going to be really mundane for the most part, the Terrordome match will likely deliver, and who knows on the women's match. I'm calling for either Roxxi or ODB to lose their hair. Main highlight of Impact for me was Storm v. Sting, solid TV match that could have easily been thrown on ppv. The Stinger splash through Storm on the table in the corner was kick ass.

    Random Thoughts 3-27-08 to 5-28-08

Seeing marketing ideas companies all around the U.S. are using for getting people to use their stimulus money with them is some of the greatest unintentional humor around lately. Anyway, Miz and Morrison v. Kane and CM Punk for the tag titles is added to JD ppv. Talk about a "meh" thrown together match, if there ever was one. All based off a team staredown on ECW apparently. JD looks weak as hell to me on paper, skipworthy it seems.

Spring 2008 WWE Future Endeavors Thread

Yeah, Torrie will be in TNA in due time I'm sure, especially if they don't make her actually work any (or at least not alot) of matches as I think she won't be able to anyway with the back injury that's been nagging her. Is she still with Kidman? If so, I could see them both coming in as a package deal and she would just manage him.

Jonathan Coachman leaving WWE for ESPN

He was one of the few guys in the company I seriously couldn't stand in any role he was given. Everything seems so forced and "fake" from him, overly scripted, etc. His charisma/presence level was at a negative level for sure. Everytime he was on TV, I really did want to change the channel and between him and Hardcore Holly and Vicki Guererro, I really can't think of anyone else who gives that vibe off to me. He's just not entertaining and didn't fit in WWE at all to me. With that said, he won't be missed but chances are he will come across alot better as just an anchor guy on ESPN. I saw some of his MSG stuff and something like he was doing there is definately where he needs to be. I have a really REALLY hard time even thinking the guy had actual potential as a worker too, are you serious? He was fucking awful. Most women in the past and present could jump hoops around him if you're talking workrate. Hell, even most managers from the past/present as well.

Ashley Massaro Linked to Escort Service

That seems highly unlikely due to the serious nature of the situation. Sounds to me like this is 99 percent sure the right Ashley they got. Question is....will WWE even let her go.....do they have any valid grounds since all of this stuff occured before she was even employed? Chances are she will be released, but the company will still have to pay her until her contract expires.
