Here is some more detailed spoilers from the Observer site, including a match that wasnt originally talked about in the initial spoilers (Awesome Kong/Alexa Jade) plus apparently TNA is going to have to come up with a new name for Booker T.....and they explain more about some storylines here they are running.... TNA Wrestling returned to Soundstage 21 at Universal Studios. With an abbreviated build time for the next pay-per-view, Final Resolution on the eve of December 2nd, the company was forced to tape a show and a half tonight, as there will only be three iMPACT's leading up to the PPV. The show was one of the best from top to bottom since the company went to two hours. At some point before the show, they filmed Jim Cornette at the announcer desk talking about how Booker T and Sharmell haven't signed contracts yet and to avoid getting sued that there is to be no calling the two of them by their names. Cornette said he would have a signing ceremony later on. Kurt Angle opened the show with AJ Styles and Tomko. He talked about the tag match from last night and welcomed Styles and Tomko into his fold as his "new family." This brought out Kevin Nash, who reminisced jokingly about being family with Angle prior to their falling out. Nash eventually got into the ring and began to brawl with Styles, Tomko, and Angle. The numbers game began to overwhelm Nash until he was saved by the majority of the TNA babyfaces. Lance Hoyt & Jimmy Rave w/ Christy Hemme defeated LAX. LAX was perhaps the most over act in the company at this taping and it was disappointing to see them in such a lower tier match. Hemme got on the apron to distract the referee leading to Rave scoring the pin with a rollup. Team 3D was backstage with the X Division Championship and a captured and hooded X Division wrestler. They went through a list of demands that they wanted the X Division to comply with to get the belt & the wrestler back. The list included junk food. We go to Kristal backstage with Christian Cage. He was very upset about losing Tomko and Styles, saying he will get an explination out of the two of them. This almost seemed like he was teasing a babyface turn although later in the show this proved to be incorrect. In a Mixed Tag match, Bobby Roode & Traci defeated Chris Harris & Gail Kim. After an opening sequence with the women, Roode sent Traci to a chair at ringside and wrestled the rest of the match with Harris. After Roode scored the pinfall, he got into an argument with Traci, who argued back and finally quit. She left the ring and jumped the Roode fan planted at ringside until security pulled the two apart. Team 3D comes out with the beaten and hooded X Division wrestler and calls out the X Division to meet their demands. The Motor City Machine Guns and Jay Lethal come out and Sabin and Bubba banter back and forth with each other. 3D releases the hood on the wrestler and it turns out to be Havok. Bubba mentions that there is "a traitor within the X Division", which sends Shelley, Sabin, and Lethal to the ring, as well as with the other X Division wrestlers who come from the other side of the building. The three brawl with the X Division guys gaining the advantage until Havok turns on the X Division and hits them all with his cane. Scott Hall and Kevin Nash come out and announce their reunion at the next pay-per-view, in a six man match with Angle, Tomko, and Styles. They tell Angle that he'll find out who the partner is "later tonight." In a Triple Threat match, Abyss defeated Relic & Black Reign. Relic is Johnny The Bull and debuted last night at Genesis. This match was a typical Abyss/Black Reign style match ending with Abyss scoring the pin with a Black Hole Slam on Relic. After the match, Reign and Relic beat down Abyss until Rhino made the save. In a women's match, Awesome Kong defeated Alexa Jade. Kong was still staring at the picture of Gail Kim. This was the standard Kong squash that we've been seeing since she came to TNA. It never ceases to get old. Kong won with a sitout powerbomb. After the match, Gail Kim came out and the two women brawled with security in the middle until Kong laid Kim out. The signing ceremony then took place. Cornette came out and introduced Booker T and Sharmell, who "officially signed" with TNA. Christian Cage came out and argued with Booker T. The two ended up brawling until security broke them up. Kurt Angle successfully defended his TNA World Heavyweight Championship by defeating Kaz. Kaz got a ton of offense in, even cleanly landing the flux capacitor. However, Angle kicked out and quickly landed an odd looking DDT and hooked Kaz for a three count. This was a very good match. Afterwards, Angle got on the mic to talk trash to Nash and Hall. They came out and began fighting with Angle, which brought out Styles and Tomko. However, Samoa Joe ran down and helped the Outsiders clear out the ring, setting the stage for the main event at Final Resolution. In a match taped for Xplosion, Eric Young defeated James Storm. In a match taped for the Thanksgiving episode of iMPACT (November 22nd), Samoa Joe pinned AJ Styles in a three way match with Chris Sabin in the finals of something called the "Turkey Bowl". As a result, Joe "won" $25,000 and Styles was forced to dress in a turkey outfit. The match went a little longer than 15 minutes and was excellent after the three got going. After the match, Jim Cornette came out and demanded Styles wear the outfit or he would be fired. Styles reluctantly put it on. Kurt Angle came out dressed as a pilgrim and talked about how ridiculous Styles looked. The Outsiders and Samoa Joe came to the top of the stage and bantered back and forth with Angle until the six men began brawling again. Eric Young came out and started running around with a turkey leg, which ended up in Angle's mouth as Nash, Hall, and Joe beat him up.

What might be happening is that Tomko and Styles are essentially on both side of the fence, supporting both Angle and Christian. That would then lead Christian to be more of an ass to both down the road and Angle essentially doing the same, which would lead to the face turn for at least Styles. Styles would then go solo again, and Tomko would perhaps join up with Giant Bernard or something. No real rush to do it, but a Styles/Christian long term feud sounds really fun.
-
Hmmmm.......well....... So we go back to the Joe/Angle dynamic AGAIN? I'm torn on this alot. It's been such a ridiculous feud the past years, that it's now to the point of complete absurdity in a way. Logic then would dictate Joe pins Angle in the six man, leads to Joe/Angle, perhaps as a "last chance" world title match at Final Resolution for Joe. Which, if this is the time for them to finally give the belt to Joe, thank god. But who really knows. In any regard, is this six man really a draw whatsoever for the next ppv? I certainly don't think so. I just am not feeling Styles and Tomko joining Angle at all, either. Plus it appears there was no follow up on Christian even talking to Styles and Tomko about what they are doing? I dont get it. I like the idea of Martinez as LAX's manager/valet alot. The 3D/X division angle, I agree, would have been way way WAY cooler if the guy under the hood was actually Spike, and then it went the same way it did. With Havok as the guy, it just comes off rather bland and second rate. What happened to the Rhyno/Harris impending blowup and feud? Now Rhino goes to the usual garbage feud with Black Rhein and this new guy w/ Abyss. Makes sense but yet seems so rehashed a bit. And Roode seems to be paired off with Harris now. Chrstian v. Booker T, seen it many times before, doesn't really interest me much at all to be honest. They should be more creative than to come up with Christian being racist/sexist to Sharmell to fuel this feud. Looking forward to Kaz/Angle.

Is Summit a subsidiary of some other larger movie conglomerant or something? I have to say they did an ok job of advertising the film, but they're taking a big chance with releasing this one in so many locations, when it was clear it was not going to get much response. Do they have alot more on the horizon? Yeah, something unique about being the only one there, thats for sure.
-
Kennedy/HHH would be a good program if things would have gone the anticipated way of Kennedy being Vince's son and whatnot, but without any real story between the two, I'm not feeling that at all.
-
From wwe.com.....few matches announced for Smackdown this week.... Hardys v. Kennedy/MVP (this might be good) Batista v. Henry ECW will also have Kane/Mysterio v. Big Daddy V/Finlay tomorrow Throw in Umaga v. HHH tonight and you have basically the gamut of everyone in the SS elimination match taken for account here this week for matches on TV.
-
Not shocking since I was the only person in the theater last night watching this, and furthermore I was told when I paid for my ticket that they hadnt even started the reel ALL DAY with that film, so I was the only person to even check this out the entire DAY. It's not like it was in super limited release either, it opened on over 2,000 screens.
-
That must be the ECW legend that they are bringing in, figured it would be him or Sandman.
-
Eh - it was clear he was going to be having a world title match on Impact anyway, not a ppv, although I thought Christian was going to over Kaz and Sting was going to regain the belt on the ppv, leading to Christian/Sting at Turning Point. Instead we'll probably see Booker/Angle and quite possibly Styles/Tomko v. Outsiders or some nonsense that really doesn't draw any interest to me. Anyways, it doesnt really matter to me whether he would get that shot now or three weeks from now, might as well strike the proverbial iron while it's hot with him, and as I said, if he looks good/competitive in there against Angle, that will hopefully mean they just keep pushing him beyond that in hopes to continue that momentum.
-
I just got out of P2 - not a bad flick by any means, but nothing worth rushing out to see for horror/suspense fans out there. Pretty formulmatic stuff though, rather predictable, and not particularly scary whatsoever. Decent gore factor. Biggest dissapointment was that the lead chick actress was in a juggy jiggling dress all through the film, but yet didn't let those funbags out. Damn shame.

Well that kind of was the point of the tournament in the first place, to establish him, and he was being booked pretty solidly for the past few months as well, so I dont see the issue.........not until I see TNA cut the push from under him if they dont follow up suitably by a solid showing against Angle down the road.
-
This show was a mixed bag for sure, but overall, unfortunately, rather forgettable. That's not to say there wasnt good matches, as their was. The main event in all its' boring nature really hurt the show, as did the overall finish of the night as a whole. Booker's debut came off really underwhelming to me. I wish TNA would start doing their ppvs out of Orlando everytime, as that means alot to the overall feel of the shows. The backstage segments were excessive w/ Angle and Co. and is basically continous retreading of segments from the past two Impacts, with Angle paranoid about who is the mystery man. The Storm/Young segments were bearable, at least. Opener was pretty strange and just downright lame. * 1/2 at best MCM-Duds - not bad at all, I really couldnt complain about much here, albeit it seemed short. But the MCM went over clean which was REALLY good to see the booking not fuck this one up. *** Women's match was solid but average, everyone worked hard here though ** 1/2 I liked Lethal/Dutt quite a bit, fun fast paced match that delivered. *** Tag title match was just dull, the booking of this match didnt really help anyone as far as showcasing their talents, but at least it didnt outright expose anyone. * 3/4 Joe/Roode - again, another match that was just kind of there for the most part. Nothing really spectacular here at all. ** Kaz/Christian, really good match for sure, MOTN by far. Really not alot to complain about this, both guys worked really hard, Christian particularly took a hell of alot of punishment with the ladder bumps, and Kaz gets put over. Should mean something since Christian's losses are few and far between. But we'll see what the follow up is. All for a Kaz push. *** 3/4, super close to **** Main event just sucked the life out of this show to me. Nothing really redeeming here to me. The finish, on top of it, was just about as deflating as you can get. Ref malarchy, Angle lays out Nash and then takes out Sting clean, and then Sting even lays down til the end of time until the ref comes in to make the count. That should have been a near-fall, leading to a much more built better finish. Booker really wasn't showcased worth two shits here, and I'm not feeling any sort of Angle/Booker feud that seems on the horizon. So they get Tomko and Styles to help interfere? I dont want to see them with Angle, and inversily, I'm not feeling a Christian face turn whatsoever. WTF is that shit anyway. Sting really was the guy here that got the shaft more anyone, IMO. He looked a bit like a chump in the booking here after being superman against Angle at the last ppv. * 1/2

Horrible fucking ending. Just uber bland.
-
Wow Kaz went over Christian in a really good ladder match. I'm already expecting in some capacity for Kaz to lose his title shot back to Christian on Impact or something. For what its worth though, Kaz is on a hell of a roll right now and is starting to get over. Angle/Kaz might be fun, but definately should be done on free TV.
-
So the MCM went over pretty convincingly over the Duds - very nice. Women's match was perfectly acceptable fare, if not pretty normal all the same. Lethal v. Dutt next....
-
Hmmm Stamboli in TNA might be a plus. Anymore info on this gimmick of his? Is it basically a Muta clone?
-
First match in was awfully bizzare - using a mouse trap plank for a pedigree spot on Abyss was weird. Have no idea who it was, but some new guy debuted as Black Rhein's sidekick - looked like he was wearing a Great Muta type mask, playing some Gronda-ish type of character a bit.
-
Oh apparently Storm and Young are having a drinking contest on the ppv tonight. As for why some of the roster is not on this ppv, a handful of guys are in Japan working a NJPW-TNA joint show. I believe Killings, Daniels, Senshi, Rhyno and a few others are there. Ultimately though, you have eight matches on the card and just throwing the rest of the main roster guys would be overkill without any story within those names and their opponents. I give TNA a bit of credit that at least with the matches on the card, most of the bouts have some backstory within the workers facing each other.

I think its rebmevon, which is november spelled backwards

Very true.

I dunno about the Tenay and West thing, I think West is more the problem personally and I could most certainly do without him and his really bad color commentary, but it doesnt make it damn near impossible for me to watch ever. You have to consider they are always of the mindset that they are trying to 1) do what they can to sell those ppvs since a small percentage of fans who watch Impact get them and 2) keep viewers who may have just checked out TNA recently on backstories of workers, etc. As a clear example, I thought Tenay did a great job talking up the past history of Kaz in TNA during his match with Christian. Now whether they are doing a good job of accomplishing those tasks is a whole other thing in itself but I at least understand WHY they are doing what they do. I really havent been feeling Impact at all the last few months, but something worked last night with this one. I was entertained pretty much the whole show and it sold the ppv for me, which may be a first. The opening Christian-Kaz match was real good for TV opening match standards. Built just about right to lead to another match with them at the ppv. Wow, I can't believe it, they promoted a match at the ppv by showcasing good wrestling from the two. What a concept. The segments with Angle, Nash, Hall, etc. They were quick in and out but overall, I think I could have done without them. Karen continues her normal shit week to week of trying to seduce guys to figure out things, etc. I did like the ending segment with Hall and Nash to a degree, but the ending of the show with Sting just standing there was kind of WTF to say the least. Wow, what a mind game Sting is playing. *sarcasm* The actual rest of the wrestling on the show was pretty solid. I liked the women's match for the standards of such - hope to see this new chick again, I think she has some potential there. The Duds match was pretty much a dud, though. The Styles/Steiner amateur whateverthefuckitwas was entertaining for what it was, and the main event was a solid *** 1/4 match. TNA still has alot to work on with slowing shit down, though. They're giving more time to the matches now, which is a plus, but cutting away from things before they even sink in continues to be an issue. The production end of the show needs a complete overhaul in that sense, it seems like every ten seconds, other than when there is wrestling going on, we get that annoying loud Impact graphic that cuts in and they go to something else immediately. But overall, at least on this show they seemed to build the ppv somewhat properly. The show to me didnt sound too hot on paper a few weeks ago and the build has been suitable enough to get me to throw down on it - not necessarily for the main event, but for the undercard. Pretty obvious the mystery guy is Booker given the promo for the match and when they mention the mystery man, they cut to a shot of an entrance with huge fire flames erupting from the stage. I don't agree with TNA for waiting for the ppv to reveal Booker too - I think this would have been much better done with vignettes or appearances on a few Impacts before the ppv.
-
This was long overdue for sure, never cared for him at all really, he was as bland of a character as you can find (which isnt all his fault, but still) and really didnt have much of a working ability in him. Just your typical meathead jacked-up dude with no talent really. With or without being on the juice, he was never getting over and really never got much of a push anyway, so any argument that he was "forced" to take roids to get over is pretty illogical since they never really pushed him that hard anyway. He made his own bed, that much is clear.
-
How is Nash is that bad of shape? He looked pretty fit when he attacked Angle the other week on Impact. You can tell his knees are still a major issue with him everytime he walks. He's far from mobile - was he ever though? But I would be one to think he's worse than ever these days.
-
Who is playing the apparent Mickie James clone or whatever? Who knows with Hall and Nash other than TNA used them years ago as that alliance w/ Jarrett and it amounted to just about nothing. Here's hoping for the best although I can't even envision these two even working well with anyone at their conditions. Hall maybe still can go, but the impression I get is that Nash isn't getting any better with age.
-
Is the Hall thing a swerve or is he really Sting's partner? I'm thinking Hall will be there, but just as an "outsider" of sorts. I would imagine we get a Sting promo denying its Hall and then cue Booker either at the end of tomorrow's Impact taping or at the ppv itself.
