  1. Yes - an actual compelling match on ppv this Sunday! Go Dreamer Go!!! Wait a minute......
  2. Im shocked Morrison hasnt shown up tonight at all.
  3. I think it just furthers the storyline. Nothing wrong with it by me. What was once unpredictable and interesting is now just another paint by numbers storyline. How is it paint by numbers already? That segment was perfectly fine for what it was, as is the storyline. So if Balls and Kelly did then just go out on a date without a hitch, wouldnt THAT be predictable? All storylines should have arcs like this, actually.

  5. Miz does the OH SNAP - lol Balls is going to get really over from this, if he isnt already. This is working. Nice added angle to the storyline here.
  6. Its one of the few angles that has been kept off the radar of everyone in the company having their hands in it. Dusty Rhodes exclusively has been the writer of the storyline from start to whatever will be the finish.

    save_us_222

Has anyone decifered what the "222" is really about anyway? The WON this week had ALOT of juicy stuff on all of this.... -Jericho was being courted hard by TNA for him to be on their debut two hour show. Since that didnt happen, their (meaning TNAs) belief was he was WWE bound. -I'm sure this has been brought up, but this Sunday's ppv is at the SAME LOCATION as Jericho's WWE debut on Raw in August of 99. -"222" appears to be a scripture from the "Book of Joshua", Chapter 2, with the 22nd word in the book being "Jericho" -Meltz speculated but wasnt sure if it was 222nd day of the year back in 99 that Jericho debuted back on Raw to "save us all" (someone should look into that) -Court Bauer (no longer with the company) came up with the marketing idea for this back in June, when it was believed Jericho was close to returning. -If Jericho didnt ever come back, the idea was to be used for the new Hart Foundation's debut, so keep in mind this COULD be them as well, although highly unlikely.

    Raw 10.1.07

To be expected with MNF back in the hunt again. Within a month, they will probably not be hitting 3.0s and will hover in the high 2's possibly. I just am thinking with Cena out, UNLESS they pull a hell of a compelling followup champion and scenario/title program from that, they are going to lose some viewers overall. Other than a few spots, I thought last night's show was crap.
  9. I would love it if the new Hart Foundation showed up in ECW, by the way. They could use them on Smackdown too.

Cena Injured Tonight (Out 6-12 Months)

With Cena out till April or so, Shawn might be locked in as far as the Wrestlemania main event. Maybe we will get that final installment of Shawn versus Hunter. Hell, I would be all for Cena/Michaels again at Mania for the title, also. When Michaels got hurt, he was still in the midst of feuding w/ Cena IIRC, so it would make sense to do the big final blowoff at Mania again. And perhaps Cena's first match back, and by then, we could possibly see Michaels as a heel? If so, a heel Michaels v. face HHH would probably be something I could see WWE doing, since every other scenario with those two has been done otherwise.
  11. FYI, since I havent seen this really anywhere here on the board, apparently in the next upcoming weeks, there is a push to bring in more guys to the ECW brand, so expect some new names probably starting next week. From this weeks WON.
  12. I guess you have not been seeing those videos - whoever that is that they are talking about, he's all but confirmed to show up on the ppv given the codes.
  13. I dont blame them one bit actually. Its the main event of the next ppv, and this is huge news. They have to address it immediately. And with that said, they didnt address it whatsoever really. They apparently still dont know what they are doing.
  14. OK - given the video package, are they playing off that Orton was the one that injured him? Vince just states Cena could be out for a year, crowd cheers.

Cena Injured Tonight (Out 6-12 Months)

I know its been discussed already as well, but there has got to be a possibility of Michaels returning here, probably again as a mystery opponent, against Orton. According to the most recent WON, he's basically healed and is just sitting around, enjoying the time off, not in any rush to return. There is a feud they could fall back on, and even still do HIAC at Cyber Sunday if they really wanted to. I'm just thinking of things from a "replacement" perspective here and given that, Michaels would seem the best candidate. They could run with a solid feud with those two til Survivor Series, where I imagine Orton would take on HHH for the title, or if Michaels wins, that could be transitioned to Kennedy from him to build to Kennedy/HHH at Mania, OR Cena/Kennedy, if Cena is healed by then. I really dont think Kennedy is going to get massive heat for what happened last night, personally. Hell, he very well may get the spot against Orton at No Mercy for the title, or they could go bonzo gonzo and do HHH/Umaga/Kennedy/Orton or something too. Hell, I might as well throw it out too - what about Van Dam as a lure to get him back into the company by giving him the belt right away? Also, how big of a chance is there that they want to give Orton the title in the first place or ever anticipated doing so at this stage? I know it was talked months ago, but since then, its cooled off alot and the assumption was that Cena was totally going over Orton in this program.

Cena Injured Tonight (Out 6-12 Months)

Not back til December. Also, pardon if its already been discussed but Cena may not make it to Mania either, its all depending on how quickly he can come back from this. If he can do 6 to 7 months, great - but we're talking that his first match back might BE at Mania itself. As far as the contingency plan, I say they do one of two things... 1) Have Taker face Orton at No Mercy for the title (given there is some backstory they could even play upon on Smackdown this week and Taker has no opponent) - in this case, I would still put Orton over here. 2) Just say a mystery opponent will be at No Mercy, and its Jericho. Jericho wins the belt immediately.

Cena Injured Tonight (Out 6-12 Months)

I'm betting he's going to be out a good 6 months, at least. He was in serious pain there and wasnt doing himself any favors finishing the match and working the post-match angle either. So Orton will get the belt, then what? Either HHH manuevers into a feud with him and gets the belt (hopefully not) or we get Jericho showing up at the end of the show after Orton beats Cena to challenge him for the belt.
  18. The promoter has every right to be upset if Joe phoned it in and buried one of his top guys, but posting a blog with going into that much detail about the situation and also dogging on Joe to the max is extremely unprofessional behavior to say the least. Its one thing to defend your company and apologize to the fans if they were dissapointed by Joe, but there was no need for him to take it this far. I wouldnt be shocked one bit if TNA stops using talent here.

    Upcoming Vickie Guerrero plans

All horrible ideas there.... First, the wedding angle seemed to have been going down the path that Kristal was just baiting Teddy Long to marry him and then I dont know what, take him for all his money, power as GM, etc. And from that, Vickie would become GM. That was the original idea, that Kristal and Vickie were in on it together and both would have drugged Teddy, etc. That appears to not be the case now.

    Bug....starrting Ashley Judd

Didnt know there was a thread for this here - posted originally in the comments thread... Just watched Bug today on DVD - wow, what an actually fascinating film. I think for everyone that finds this film interesting though, there is another who plain out will hate it. Everything in the film is very loosely up to ones own interpretation about what is happening, what this and that means, etc, where you can't really figure out the situation until you understand what the underbelly of this film is about (at least this is how I take it) - and its not really about bugs, per-se. Wasnt really horror to me, but there is some disturbing parts in it. Oh and Ashley Judd gets fully nude a few times during the film, which is always a plus. For those that have seen it, is the real story moreless that Judd is completely out in the clouds from her heavy drug usage (was that meth/crack in the pipe?), drinking, and general depression from losing her child? And that she meets this guy, who is a complete nutjob from whatever testing he had went through. Ultimately, they both become almost hyper-paranoid, delusional, etc. So the bugs aren't real, hell damn near nothing is internally within them, and I dont know if they even REALLY died at the end, given the stuff that rolled shortly after the credits. Apparently the play this was based on....the gist of that was demonstrating their different kinds of paranoid-scizophrenia (with her, the heavy drug usage - with him, who knows, it was pretty speculative on what "they" did to him) kind of coming together and snowballing within each of the two. Overall, a really fucking twisted film that leaves up alot of room for discussion.

    OAO 9/27 Impact Thread

I enjoyed the show for the most part. On a total side note, alot of guys look like they are off the juice here, most noticably Hoyt and I swear to god, Dutt actually may have been on roids too, as he looks extremely different physically. How ironic would that be since Dutt on the juice was a running Kevin Nash joke. The opener was just a simple comedy match. Nothing more nothing less. Enjoyed the MCM match - they are one of the more over tag teams by far right now, and they looked good here. Rave also was given a chance to impress. The Dud squash after the match will explain next week's title match. I thought the womens match was way better than any womens match in WWE in years. The ending angle/brawl was alright, nothing extremely impressive but it ended the show on somewhat of a more unpredictable note than a typical main event or something. Mesias did pretty much get punked in every sense of the word from both Sting and Abyss here though. Good he's taking a hiatus as following up on that beatdown might be hard unless he's gone for awhile to "regroup."

    Grindhouse

According to IMDB, the original Grindhouse double feature DVD set will be single discs each of the theatrical versions, with all of the trailers attached likely, and to be released June 8 of next year. So I stand corrected, its already set and ready to go then. I'm still fine with these single releases since they are unrated and have extra footage in them, in fact Death Proof has roughly 25 minutes extra from what I understand. Plus the Grindhouse release next year sounds like it wont have any of the extras these other seperate releases had. Havent watched the DVD extended version yet, so dont know what really is the differences. Bummed I missed the tin case version of Death Proof too, I just read about it and I guess it was a Best Buy exclusive and had a third disc with a 30 minute documentary on Death Proof.

    Grindhouse

I had to throw down on Death Proof since it was only $14.99 when I got it, plus it came with a $5 off Planet Terror (which i also plan on getting when it comes out) which I can probably find for $15 on release day as well (and only pay $10 for), basically getting both for $25 total. Who knows when a full Grindhouse deal will be released - given that its completely conceivable that these seperate releases on DVD dont get a ridiculous amount of copies sold, its very possible to me they will never do a full Grindhouse release considering how underwhelming it did at the box office. BTW, what was the deal with the tin case edition of Death Proof? Was there anything extra as far as content or just a neat tin case? Also, the Kill Bill uncut box set is now to be released on Christmas day of this year, if anyone is interested in knowing.
