Plus add the fact they clearly know he's an Other, and not just your ordinary Other, an Other who could have possibly given them a ton of answers in due time, and an Other who somehow staged his death apparently. Fuck, they could have at least tried to interrogate the guy before they let his ass free.

I just can't see Simpsons bombing at all - throughout the years, they have generated a very strong and pretty loyal fanbase, and even for those who perhaps don't really watch the series anymore (like me) I sure as hell am intriged how a film will be, and will most certainly go check it out.

What I think we have to keep in mind with Aries is that, in certain situations, if tact is used to deal with an issue that is bothering talent, then things can potentially be alleviated and not be brought to this point. On the subject of Kid Kash, word always seemed to be he missed that whole point of tact. He let loose on his opinions without really thinking through what he was doing. This may have been similar to Aries, so with that said, there may be some potential justification on TNA's part to "suspend" him. I'm just playing Devil's Advocate here a bit, I guess. Then again Killings has vocally spoke up on his push, or lack thereof, times before, and we see what they are doing with him now - ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Is he even currently injured? Then again, there we go again, was he respectful in his frustrations or were they just expressed in a very non-professional way? As an owner of a company myself, I know I deal with my employees who come to me respectfully and with professionalism on their concerns way differently than those who try to almost create unrest within my company by making scenes, stirring shit, not knowing the meaning of tact, etc, etc. You tend to miss their point when they go overboard with things. Also, his suspension may have had alot to do with the stuff that occured back in 05 with Aries, back then, being tagged as a problem person with the way he vocally handled his concerns then too. There was a point brought up in the latest Observer about the train of thought of the company right now in terms of the "Fire Russo" chants in that the fans arent literally just saying "Russo sucks" per-se, but it's more a line to say that certain things in the company suck by the fan's standards. Instead TNA management is just counteracting that by saying the response means nothing just because apparently Russo didnt book some of these wacky ideas and gimmick matches. They dont get it. Regardless of who booked it is irrelevant, the fans just don't want shit like that, and for the company to be so blinded to not realize that is mind boggling.

Maybe Im just not familiar with the numbers the first two Rush Hours did, but I really dont think its going to get these huge numbers as some are saying. It will do around 100 mil or so, but I think that's probably the max. It seems to me its been too long since number two and it's just beating a dead horse now. Chan, nor Tucker, are not particular "draws." Plus was either Rush Hours actually released in the middle of the summer madness? The tri-part 3 sequalmania will run pretty strong this summer, Shrek, Pirates, and Spiderman. Everything else is going to be probably a step below those numbers, but I would imagine Potter, Transformers, Simpsons, Die Hard 4, Rush Hour 3, Ocean's 13, Almighty, and things of that nature do fairly alright. 28 Weeks Later - I'll go see it, but I dont see a huge flocking for that one particularly, especially being caught in between SM3 and POTC3, its gonna be a tough fight. Jesus christ, they are doing fucking Hairspray AGAIN? Is this the same story from the previous film of the same name, based off a stage play I believe? Kill me now. I might go see the Sandler comedy just for Jessica Beil alone. She has the most yummy body I think I have damn well ever seen. Sleeper of the summer might be Superbad - it just has that American Pie vibe to it, I think it will do some great business.

Wow......wow.........WOW - I'm literally buzzing from just getting done watching the episode...... So many questions..... First - the flashbacks, call me cold, but why the fuck didnt Sun just have her family kill Jin's mother instead of paying her off and having Jin become the henchman of her fathers as she did? I suppose since she would have to explain to her father WHY she needed to get offed and that would expose to him that her husband is a bastard, basically. I dont know why but I somehow somewhere expect his whore mother to show up on the island out of nowhere, ala Locke's "dad" and Jin finds out the truth somehow. Speaking of that, what a tease for next week - they were suggesting Locke captured Ben and wanted Sawyer to kill him - clearly, the person in question to get killed will NOT be Ben and is you know who......the real Sawyer. Locke is swerving Sawyer (James that is) - he must find out the truth here from Ben about things. Why he needs him particularly to kill him is unknown though, other than that Locke simply just cannot kill anyone apparently, doesnt have it in him. Ben has control of Locke somehow, someway. Locke may very well be going heel here, folks. Did Juliet basically insinuate Kate is pregnant?!! From the hookup w/ Sawyer earlier?! Keep in mind the line about "sperm count being five times stronger" on the island comment, and I highly doubt they are going to throw a "he pulled out" reasoning from Sawyer and Kate's little romp. HOW THE FUCK DID MIKAIL LIVE?!! AND HOW DID HE GET THERE SO FAST? WHERE IS HE LIVING WITH THE COMMUNICATION CENTER BLOWN TO SHIT? Why in the fucking hell did Desmond let Mikail go? Especially after he tried to steal the phone? Possible reasoning that Desmond is, by chance, an "Other?" We have no idea what occured with him shortly after the time he landed, his buddy in the hatch died, from the time he was found in the Hatch by Jack, Locke, etc. Thinking about it, it is rather odd that the Others never even suggested the idea to keep an eye inside and around all of the hatches on the island since they clearly know where all of them are and seemingly use them all for a purpose as well. Then the gal who arrived on the island. Her numerous languages she was using, what is the deal there? Is SHE an Other as well? The russian translation of the line is suspicious at best - HOW does she know she should speak Russian to Mikail in the first place? And why, of all people, would he tell HIM that?!! I can understand the Portugese connection completely (with the book and the fact Desmonds chick was speaking such, or someone else with her was, at the end of last season when they apparently "spotted" the island) but the Russian shit, caught me way off guard. I do truly think she is there to find Desmond and nothing more (on behaf of Penny or whatever the fuck her name is), but it makes me wonder. Isn't Desmond's girl's dad somehow a part of Dharma in the first place? It's VERY suspicious that Mikail also got there super duper quick after the flare, regardless of the quickness, it was like he was expecting someone else and that makes me wonder if he knows about this new girl or else what exactly? Did the girl bring the flare or was that flare gun in the backpack Desmond got from Jack? Depending on the answer there, that could raise a TON more questions, such as if Jack IS in on all of this with the Others. If Claire obviously didnt get pregnant on the island, this clearly explains why she was safe, BUT someone needs to call Juliet out on that BS from a few episodes before, as it was told by her that Claire was going through the same thing every other pregnant chick on the island went through, but now Sun knows this should only happen to those who got pregnant BEFORE they landed here. And to take that a step further, Sun should have just asked Juliet for the "shot" to save her in addition. Maybe that will come back to fruition in future episodes, but me thinks Juliet is going to get caught in a major lie here soon. Beyond that, its so difficult to read what Juliet is all about - one second you think she is roguing, the next you wonder if she is playing Ben, etc, etc. The ironic thing here is the big swerve at the end ("you're all dead") is the only thing that really didn't stump me. The only thing I can make sense of is that the 815 crash and "no survivors" was a makeshift scene concieved by Dharma to eliminate further suspicion on things relating to the island and those on it. I'll say it again, WOW.

A few things to address here...... First, where the fuck was it ever even reported the Hardy tag title win was an accident in the first place? Thats news to me.....someone needs to get their facts straight. Secondly, I'm as much of a non-Orton fan as the next guy, but to say he's never gotten over with the crowds before is blinded mark hate.

Same here- to be fair to TNA, this was a very solid show this week. The ending angle stuck in my mind as one of the most memorable moments this company has done in months, and if followed up properly, Abyss will get over strong. The Jarrett interview segwayed (sp?) into the Angle/Sting promo was done far too quickly and cut away to really make that impact they were probably hoping for, though. But otherwise, a really strong show that was fun to watch. So is Jarrett's big third surprise just that he's - if so, that's pretty weak. Now if he made a point to say he was going to "start from the bottom" and work his way up to earning the fan's respect again by not even being in the title hunt for a LONG time, I wouldn't mind that. Funniest line of the night had to come from Styles in the backstage interview w/ all of Team Cage, as Abyss does his usual goofy arms crossed pose and he asks, "What's your problem? Got a chocolate hot dog up there?" or something to that effect.

The film company has recently all but officially shit-canned that idea as it was thought of initially after the first week numbers, but when it really kept dropping, it would be pointless. I just got out of Vacancy and all I have to say is "eh." Seemed pretty cookie-cutter formula for the most part, and yes, the ending was very anticlimactic to say the least.

I hear what you are saying but my point is IF they advertise correctly to the wrestling masses, AND a big part as well is how they are booked (and everyone right now is being booked kind of "even steven" in a way), there would be a chance for certain workers to be draws. The money is there via Panda Energy, there really isnt an excuse why they at least arent putting their best foot forward and getting a substantial marketing team together to advertise things better.

Sting, Angle, hell even Samoa Joe - they all should and could be US draws but the fact is TNA has little to no clue how to market these workers AS draws. They have a very aloof sense of marketing ability within the company, meaning that your casual fans may not even know either Angle or Sting is even IN TNA currently. That goes back to my previous post where I said its more the fault of the promotion versus the abilities of the workers themselves that nobody within TNA draws $$$$.

I think Kim and Moore would have to have had their worst days possible to have a match as bad as Ashley and Melina. That 'review' was hard to take seriously. Are you refering to mine? Out of the 4 matches that you listed from mania, id have said that 3 of them were solid matches (MiTB, World title and MVP/Benoit), but i cant see why everyone is wanking over the Cena/Michaels match, sure the last 5-7 minutes were great, but the rest of the match was very sub par. Now im not saying that every match on the lockdown card was better than that match because its not true. Christ the blindfold match and the 3D/LAX matches were fucking lame and boring. But the lethal lockdown and the xcsape macth were very good. And i thought the womens match was solid (desipte the nearly botched ending) and even the Petey/Roode match was fairly solid. The only match to truely dissapoint me from the PPV was Lynn/Daniels match, it wasn't a bad match, but it seemed like it could have been better. Perhaps to say it was better than Mania was a bit strong, but i wasn't impressed with Mania OVERALL as a PPV. All of the matches (bar the 3 stated previously) were average matches. Before HTQ jumps on my back AGAIN (cause he cant be wrong) I'm not defending TNA and saying their a great company with great booking. But if you took out the Blindfold match and the electric cage gimmick, the PPV was pretty damn good. I know my review might have been a little TNA biased, but I really enjoyed the LAX-3-D match, minus the electrified part. Homicide and Hernandez are great workers (Hernandez works his ass off at every PPV). I'm also glad that I'm not the only one to think that 'Mania wasn't all that it could have been. Seeing that it was 'Mania it SHOULD have been better. It shouldn't have the filler crap known as Khali vs Kane and Ashley vs Melina. That PPV SHOULD be about the best card possible, and that's not what we got. You're bitching about 10-15 minutes tops of a four hour show that was otherwise quite acceptable fare. Meanwhile the cage match and blindfold match took up a solid 25-30 minutes of a three hour show. Just sayin.....

comes to a head at the end - wooooo! I enjoyed the hell out of the show again last night, the show has definately done an upward turn for the best this last month.

I think I have watched the ladder match from my Wrestlemania 16 tape over 10 times, the fatal four way main event 3 times. TLC 2 from Wrestlemania 17 has again got over 10 views, Austin vs. Rock maybe twice. Seeing that I haven't watched these tapes since I was 14 tops, it shows that Hardy draws kids. I definitely was doing more Swanton's off the couch as a kid than Stunners on my friend's. Spot monkeys draw. I had no idea the number of times you personally watch a match over makes a certain worker a "draw" - I've heard alot of wild reasoning why someone feels the way they do on a certain subject, but this may take tops. Congrats. Someone needs to clarify what a "draw" means, I'm too annoyed to even bother.

Just my opinion only, but anyone from TNA can't really be a draw at this point. Bringing both Angle and Sting into the TNA fold didnt really generate any additional viewership to their product. Its more the fault of the promotion versus the individual unfortunately.

I normally have been (or maybe used to be) one of the more staunch TNA fans around this place, and with that said, the show was alright, but better than Mania? Cmon - Mania had three, if not four, VERY solid matches above or at *** 1/2 (MITB, both world title matches, and Benoit/MVP was also solid) and dare I say MITB and Cena/HBK were both solid **** matches. Lockdown has NOTHING to this level of ****....their strongest bout I had at *** 1/2 with the Lethal Lockdown match. There was two clear DUDS in the blindfold match and the cage match- even worse than Kane/Khali and the women's match at Mania if you ask me as at least we didnt have to sit through endless minutes of mind-numbing "action" in the Lockdown matches in question (my god, the Duds-LAX context of the match itself wasn't that good at all even taking the cage crap out of the equation - those two teams just dont click), whereas the Mania matches that we all knew were going to suck were kept VERY short. The rest of the card varied from ** to *** matches overall. Just my two cents. I will say this much, the women's match on Lockdown was head and shoulders better than the women's match at Mania, though.

Here is the thing, guys - they are doing shit like Angle/Sting, Angle/Christian for basically no point - its clearly bait and switch, for one thing, and secondly, TNA doesnt have the willpower and whatever you would call it (perhaps promotional power?) to even push these matches strongly to the masses so people even know about, much less care about. So the rating stays generally the same with or without doing "ppv matches" on Impact. Given that fact, they shouldn't even bother doing them on Impact. With that said as well, the company is in such a state of "eh" right now that if they even put Sting v. Angle on the next ppv, it really wouldn't even draw, IMO.

Well Sting/Angle was about as I expected - pretty much nothing. What is the reasoning to do Sting v. Christian on either Xplosion (which is REALLY messed up) or the same Impact as Angle/Sting? Or was this a three week taping? *confused* For what its worth, I thought the first hour taping has SOME semblance of direction and structure, but it looked like the rest of the tapings just went in the shitter real nice and deep.

Well, I gotta admit - alot of stuff in that first hour taping..... Daniels is being clearly groomed for a feud with Sting later in the spring/summer. Jarrett as EY's friend? Makes sense since there was something going on there with those two before JJ left. Where they go from here with it all (Roode v. Jarrett?) is beyond me though. So is this Abyss' official face turn or yet another tease? It doesnt make sense any of Cage's "guys" are in fact his since they all made it clear they just wanted a title shot and nothing more. Now that the opportunity isn't there anymore, what gives?

Whats so ridiculous about giving those matches away is that doing such doesnt jump the rating up more than before - until TNA really fires off on all cylanders and MARKETS their product the right way, no more or less people are really going to tune into the shows, if you ask me. On the flip side, since they dont get any extended viewership, they might as well do whatever since it isnt going to matter anyway. It's not like Raw hasnt hotshotted big matches just a week or two in advance, didn't really go full tilt with the match, and was still able to really push it hard on a big ppv (HBK v. Cena from last year comes to mind as an example). Even putting that on ppv really isn't going to draw many more fans than the norm as TNA is just basically stuck with little to no upward movement right now until the shows have a "catch" and they really market the everlasting hell out of their product to the masses.

I hope so - the crowd really gave Cena ridiculous heat tonight, and it wont get any better in London next week. They need to just get the belt off him, and they'll get what they want - a loud positive response for him more times than not. That would be a great spot for a title change, and have Michaels hold it or transition it to Edge or even Orton at the ppv. Right now Im fine with any of those guys holding it other than Cena. They might as well throw it to a heel ASAP though to run strong through the summer to be fed to Hunter upon returning. That should probably be Edge. Cena needs to start chasing the title is all I know too.

That about covered what I thought of the movie too. Even the out of the left field cut "the end" to the film too just like every episode damn near. But it still was great. I had tears in my eyes from laughing so much during the first part of the movie though.

Is this new italian guy's last name an homage to Gorilla Monsoon? Other than that nothing much to say about Raw - was pretty stale and having Cena take out everyone isnt exactly a great way to sell the ppv....I was impressed by the booking to debut this new guy though - I'll give it a chance and see where they go with it, especially if they use the shootfighter background gimmick on him as the weeks progress. Umaga may likely get the ECW belt anyway so might as well shift the IC title to an apparent book on the fly project with this new worker.

The trailer gives the vibe of Dazed and Confused meets American Pie or something, looks funny as hell.....
