  1. They can't. WWE was entitled to 4 NBC specials under their new agreement. They're entitled to two SNME's a year on NBC. How come they get stuff like the Family Reunion, WWE .VS. ECW Head To Head, etc. on the USA Network, what's the deal with those? I'm pretty sure those are just case by case, there is nothing in contract on how many WWE specials USA does a year. Or at least I've never read about such.

TNA Impact Spoilers for 10/14 and 10/21

Yes, it is. They weren't happy he strung them along with a promise he'd do the job to Sabin at the PPV, and then mysteriously had to pull out at literally the last minute. Whether Nash should have jobbed to Sabin or not, pulling that kind of stunt is beyond unprofessional, but it's typical behavior from Nash. And yet the company takes him back and lets him continue to bury the division. That just takes the cake of TNA stupidity, ironically at the same time it seems like alot of things are coming together well leading to BFG. Surprised at the tapings that there was no mention of what the Duds are doing at the ppv? I know they were originally supposed to take on ICP, but they had an open challenge angle at the last taping that has seemingly gone nowhere now.

TNA Impact Spoilers for 10/14 and 10/21

One thing I didnt add - it pretty much pisses me off that Nash is being brought back and then upon his return here, his first words are burying the whole X division? Isn't that why they let him go in the first place?!?!!

TNA Impact Spoilers for 10/14 and 10/21

To the guy who is bitching about no build for Sting/Jarrett - honestly, what could they do to draw interest in that anyway? The stip is there, we've had tons of pointless Sting run-ins on Jarrett, Jarrett screwing over Sting previously, MONTHS of this shit......best to just let it settle and focus on things beyond that obvious segway (sp?) match that will see Sting beat Jarrett, hopefully. Plus it seems they are purposefully holding Sting back til the ppv to draw some extra buys and to build a new look he is going for at BFG. This is all fine by me since I dont need the last two weeks of tapings wasted on needless extra Sting/Jarrett build when months have already been put on it. I'd also give Sting/Christian a chance to build, as I clearly see that coming up down the road here, probably for the Nov ppv. Then Sting/Joe at the Dec ppv likely. Joe/Jarrett probably also for Nov's ppv. Who knows - honestly, thats what I am digging about TNA right now, you really dont know what to expect next which is GOOD. These spoilers, quite honestly, sound better than any weeks of tapings they have done. There is alot happening, things are being shaken up, and you really end both shows with strong finishes. Angle-Joe being teased already makes me curious how soon they will be doing it, but one way or another, its good to at least tease this right off the bat to draw interest in not just Angle finally showing up, but showing up and making it mean something more than just a simple in ring interview. Make no mistake, Angle/Joe is the big $$$ match this company has been waiting for, and getting people interested in that match immediately upon Angle showing up is a really good idea. If Russo is writing this stuff primarily, I gotta give him props.
  5. Only real decent stuff from last night to me was the guys showing up w/ Flair, The Orton/Edge promo (which actually, for once, is an angle/storylines that MAKES SENSE) and the banter between Bradshaw and Tazz. Otherwise, this show was nothing but filler to me. The interpromotional matches were short and not really that entertaining. The "battle of the champions" at Cyber Sunday sounds horribly weak on paper, moreless because all of those guys have worked (boring) programs against each other in the past. A Cena v. RVD v. Batista/Lashley/Benoit/ANYONE ELSE FROM SMACKDOWN would be much more interesting to me, but whatever.
  6. If that finish wouldnt have been so stale last night in that match, Test/RVD would have been the ECW TV MOTY so far, hands down. Instead it just was a tad below the Holly bout. Test, to his credit, really had his working boots on here and I havent seen that from him in fucking years. It was more than just how that match was laid out, he really WAS working hard to keep up with Van Dam. He sold well, really looked impressive on his offense, and overall stood out in this brand more than he ever has before. One thing though in all of this talk, I DONT want to see Knox/Punk held off til the ppv. That is way too much of a slow build there - that means we get two more months of buildup on this match. I'm sorry but I can only stand about 2-3 more weeks of that, building to a blowoff on TV in about a month. From there, Punk needs to be built at the ppv to a really strong match, possibly even bringing back the TV title in a tournament beforehand, which he wins at the ppv. Perfect opponent right now for him would be a guy like Scorpio in a final tournament match like that.

Smackdown Spoilers for the 10/6 Airing

Ironically enough I'm the opposite. I'm much more interested in the main event now than Batista-Finlay and Lashley-Booker as singles matches. Seriously thinking of throwing down on this one now on Sunday where I wasnt even considering it before.

Smackdown Spoilers for the 10/6 Airing

If this is Hayes influence on this show, I wont mind since having Batista, Lashley and Finley for that matter as tweeners would be interesting to play out for awhile. Each character is so stangnent right now that anything is better than nothing. Could be an interesting ppv main event leading to either Batista or Lashley going heel.
  9. Because I think they have a better back story than Sting Vs. Joe. And how would the ending be if Sting is to go over JJJ? Whats another month of JJJ being NWA Heavyweight Champion of the World? I think you mean AT MOST there because otherwise your arguement is redundant. Even if he's gone at the end of the year, it still makes no sense to have him lose a career match to Jarrett and have him sit those last two months of that contract. I'm not a Sting mark in the least, but what kind of way to end his TNA run is that?! If his contract ended end of Oct, that would be one thing but its not. AT MOST, or AT LEAST, it doesnt matter - its still as equally ridiculous to have Sting do a job to Jarrett in a career match. He wont be gone til January at the earliest, and there seems to be a strong possibility of a resigning to boot. Plus you are just begging for Jarrett/Sting feud to continue if Sting does the job here - meaning if he "returns" after losing a career match down the road, you know its just back to Jarrett/Sting again. This feud needs to end NOW, STAT. Sting going over Jarrett could be done just cleanly. Is that such a bad thing? Sting-Joe is something fresh and it actually has a decent backstory, Joe/Jarrett already has shown its a shitter of a matchup in the ring (even though Jarrett did the job, Joe looked like shit in there against him) so there is that issue. Plus if they are paying Sting this crazy $$$, why not give him the belt for a transitional run to put over someone for the belt versus a stale Jarrett that doesnt mean shit if someone beats him? Bottom line, Joe beating Sting versus Joe beating Jarrett AGAIN for the belt is much more of a draw, for one, and generally more interesting to me.
  10. Why in the fuck should TNA bother with ANOTHER Jarrett/Joe match? The one at the last ppv wasnt very good IMO and Jarrett can't sustain any legit heat. That's not the money match that puts Joe over the top and solidify him as a champion - give the belt to Sting and build to Joe/Sting two months later and we're talking money there. Plus Sting losing to Jarrett again is redundancy in it's worse way - Sting will be around until the end of the year AT LEAST and having him lose a career match now....well....you do the math
  11. With Miz, they might as well go with what works - he's a douchebag heel and might as well just go with it - having him wrestle against heels would just confuse who the fans are supposed to cheer for. Believe me, Cena would be a heel a LONG time ago if it wasnt for the movie thing and the fact that he moves merchandise extremely well. Anyway saw Smackdown for the first time in weeks last night (I honestly just keep forgetting its even on) and one major things jumped out to me. -Batista really should be turned heel in a few months. I think Lashley should get the belt and they might as well go with Batista turning on Lashley down the road and leading that to Mania at the rate they are going. His babyface presence is best described as "filler" right now and something has to be done there, as his character is about as stale as it goes right now.
  12. I should have clarified, with working a very limited schedule a month, that will give him time to rehab himself consistently --- work on getting healthier month by month. Not that I'm expecting him to be 110 percent by November, but if he keeps up this limited schedule, versus had to have been working on the road 20 out of 30 days on a good month, there is a good chance he might get somewhere on getting back to a healthy state. Stranger things have happened, especially when you consider Angle is almost superhuman in a sense given his past. To think there is no way he can rehabilitate himself to a healthy and less injury prone state is not thinking out of the box on this subject since guys like Kobashi have most certainly proven that argument wrong.
  13. For fucks sakes people, THE GUY IS GOING TO BE WORKING 3 DATES MAX A MONTH. That gives him PLENTY OF TIME (27 fucking days a month)to spend time with his family and rehabilitate himself. This shit is getting old. And for what its worth in this weeks Observer, there is a note that he actually is going to a doctor regularly who deals in pain management so just because he's not in a fucking rehab clinic 24/7, I guess it means he HAS to be on his deathbed. Give the guy some slack, I'm sure he doesnt like being in pain all the time so while he is sitting and not working, don't you think he is actually doing something about it? You all are acting like he's just sitting around in pain constantly, doped up all the time, has no semblance of reality, and will literally die during a match, and everyone is just going to sit and let it happen. My god people, give TNA some slack - if they see an issue with him and his OMG 3 DATES A MONTH it just might be possible they might help the guy or let him go.
  14. Why is nearly everyone having a fucking shitfit about Angle's health when the guy probably wont work a fucking match til middle of November? Almost three months to rehab and rest the bones helps alot and as I've said before, he isnt going to be working a crazy wild schedule anymore. Give it time - maybe the guy will be just fine down the road here. This talk about him being on his deathbed needs to be turned down a bit since he's currently not working at all and hasnt been for awhile. Ever think he's trying to rehab himself on his own?
  15. For what its worth, having him wrestle as a special ref for the main event is probably the best at this point and is rather traditional when big names sign with a company to really build to their first match. I'm not that fucking rabid for some thrown together match at BFG with him for no reason when the card, by the time all is said and done, will likely be very stacked as is. And this most certainly isnt any long term indication that TNA is "dropping the ball" with him. They can easily build to his first match in the company (probably against Jarrett at Genesis) and additionally try to generate a drawing number from him with his first TV match at the new timeslot premiere 4 days after. On a side note, one thing I hope TNA stays far away from is Christian-Angle to be honest. We've seen enough interaction between those two in the WWE days where its all still too fresh for me to give two shits about that one. Angle/Jarrett, as lame as it sounds, is stronger to me on paper than that.
  16. Keep dreaming, thats not happening here. I could go on to numerous reasons why WWE is not working with TNA, but I wont bother - Vince isnt interested in helping out a Jeff Jarrett fused company, a company which Jerry Jarrett really isnt a part of anymore (which I would assume is the only even speculative reason why someone would think TNA and WWE are in bed together). WWE let Kurt go completely because they didnt care where he went - they knew they were going to have to let him go sooner or later. It was just a matter of time. They had to wipe their hands from him to prevent another PR disaster against this wellness policy.
  17. WWE has never had the morale high ground when it comes to Kurt Angle. You're giving Vince McMahon entirely too much credit if you think the move with Kurt Angle was anything but a preventitive measure to cover his own ass if something happened to Angle under his watch. Exactly - and under the wellness policy, sooner or later, he would have had to have been released anyway. And as its been said already, working 2-3 dates a MONTH for TNA versus working upwards of 20 plus dates a month for WWE is HUGE in terms of the "Angle is broken down and on a death watch" argument. Angle will have PLENTY of time to rest up in between this new schedule and rehab himself to a much better condition than before. Everyone who is getting on TNA's ass about picking him up because of the shit with WWE and him needs to really take a look at this from the whole part. Angle may be broken down right now, but they are going to put him on a very light schedule and even if he works a stiff style in his big ppv matches, the sum of all parts will be much more conducive here to prevent a workhorse attitude just because he CANT work over 2-3 dates a month, unless he wanted to do indys which makes no sense since he's very well off financially. For all we know, TNA may not even allow him to work any indy dates to help prevent him deteriorating himself.
  18. I'm not getting into this moral question of if TNA should have signed Angle or not because the fact of the matter is that all one can hope for is Angle's limited schedule w/ TNA will help things, and chances are he won't work a match til BFG anyway. So its not like TNA is literally going to deteriorate Angle on the road like he was doing in WWE. Time will tell on that but whatever the case, these are clear reasons why Angle in TNA is HUGE -Tying in a similar demographic and viewer from UFC crossover programming by having Angle as a main advertising character for the company. to generate a viewer interested in MMA to check out a pro wrestling show, now with more legit "wrestling" workers like Joe, Angle, etc. Spike always wants these two companies to work together if possible, and its very conveivable Spike is ponying up a check to Angle here to get in the door, and brand the company now as a whole more crossing over into UFC demographics. Hell, I wouldnt at all even be surprised to see Angle go to UFC for a big fight here and there while being in TNA as well, as long as both companies worked together with a middle man in Spike TV(?) -Angle may very well be a draw here - which is a rarety to even think that with TNA. It depends how they use him but I'm actually confident Russo will book him well - he never really fucked up too much with Ken Shamrock in WWE booking, and I know Russo is a fan of Angle's for sure, so this might be interesting to see how Russo uses him. -Angle v. Joe is a dream match for sure and when you start to break down the upper card scene, there are alot of potential money matches down the road with Kurt onboard. -There is no question WWE casual viewers will check out TNA to see what Angle is doing here. Again with Russo, if he can hook viewers to want to catch Angle and then stay for the rest of the show, they just might start taking some of that audience from WWE. TNA and Spike needs to advertise the living shit out of Angle from now til the ppv to make people take notice on this move. TNA really, to me, hit a home run tonight with this annoucement on this and the reaction in the arena after the annoucement made for a feeling that something has truly shifted in this company, where the momentum from this may lead this to where TNA needs to be to come closer to compete with WWE.
  19. They have already said on the show that it will be an actual wrestler
  20. Wow that was quite the match there for what it was. Hanging part was cool and some sick bumps.
  21. I know its been said over and over but why the fuck doesnt TNA have Raven-Jarrett doing a program long term, thats perfect mid to upper card stuff that could finally tie into that Canada title switch last year. On that note, I wonder if the stupid shit with Zbysko, Hebner, etc, etc will stop now or if Russo is going to stay close to what they were already doing previously with all that. Chances are that should likely be done with now.
  22. That shit (angle) was horrible, ruined what potential those two had. There is going to definately be advantages and disadvantages of this Russo influence, I dont think Dutt, Sabin, and Lethal should become the Filthy Animals 2006 but it wouldnt shock me with Russo back in the fold.
  23. This match reeks of Russo scripting all over
