TSM TV Badass Tournament: The Finals
Hogan Made Wrestling replied to Youth N Asia's topic in Television & Film
"Damn, Jack" Bauer, especially after Monday's awesomeness. -
Why not go for a middle ground? I don't see what's unreasonable with saying that the death penalty is unnecessary, but also recognizing there are criminals out there who deserve to spend a minimum of 25 years in prison, and in some cases, life without the possibility of parole.

would you consider classism an, oft ignored form of bigotry

In Soviet Russia, stupid thread reads you! -
If nothing else, Romney's statement is idiotic because he is just about the last candidate that should be making religion an issue. Last I checked, there is no agnostic or atheist among the leading candidates, so why bother drawing attention towards religious issues when your religion is probably the one people are going to be the most apprehensive towards?

Ron Paul would be a much more interesting candidate if his name didn't make him sound like a porn star.

Obama simply must use "If ya smell what Barack is cookin'!" at least once on the campaign trail.

Maybe it's because I've only watched seasons 5 and 6 and so I'm not as conditioned to look for certain cliches, but I didn't see the Morris thing coming at all. The dad killing Graem at the end was pretty obvious though, especially when all the CTU guys left and they closed the doors. This episode was a big improvement over the last one, which moved at way too slow a pace. Ditto on the "Assad needs to be back" comment.

Anyone catch that moment when they were interviewing Serena in the crowd and the interviewer mentioned something like how a little while back she dominated the women's game the way Roger is dominating men's tennis? I couldn't believe they would even attempt to claim something like that.

In what way?

Chuck Hagel is the only person I support on the Republican side, and I'd he cheering for him to win if Hillary was heading the other ticket. Among declared Democratic candidates I support Obama, Edwards, and Richardson, and I'd still like to see Mark Warner and Al Gore get into the race. Also, I expect to see an absolute hatchet job on Hagel by the Bush clique and the neocons, should he get into the race.

Next from bigolsmitty's school: "There's no way I'm voting for that Arab Obama, did you see what 'his people' did to L.A. on 24?"
-
Oh I'm not saying it would be an atrocity or something, just that the scenario I layed out (director award last, Bobby DeNiro presenting) would scream "Marty's moment!", so Eastwood winning would be a huge swerve. Honestly though, IF Scorcese is picked as the winner, I wonder if DeNiro would be asked to present? It would add something extra special to it.
-
If Vince Russo booked the Academy Awards: Emcee: "Our final award of the evening, for Achievement in Directing. Presenting is Academy award winner Robert DeNiro." DeNiro: "And the award goes to...Clint Eastwood."

Bander was easily my favorite gimmick to ever troll NHB.

I will be midly amused if the Colts score 3 TDs and a FG and only make it to 30 points.
-
I suspect we will be hearing about the lack of votes for Ray Lewis and Trevor Pryce very soon.

Is there anyone who didn't predict a big LSU win here? Besides Lou Holtz of course.
-
Hey they arn't comparing him to Daunte Culpepper for nothing.

I watched it and enjoyed it. A pretty good hour of sleazy dramatic TV. Rick Fox as the scummy LA basketball star was a nice touch.

ESPN's poll choices for "who should win the national championship if Florida beats Ohio State?" : -BSU -Florida -USC
-
Vince Young and DeMeco Ryans took the offensive and defensive player of the year awards, respectively. Interestingly neither vote was even close.

Lou Holtz and Mark May are just unspeakably horrible.

That can't be real. Pretending it is, if it was Sierra and Al Lowe I'd pre-order it right now. But the Vivendi Leisure Suit Larry was pretty terrible. What I'd like is a collection of the original Larry games (At least 1,5,6, and 7. 2 and 3 I dunno because of the lack of point and click) ported to the Wii, and maybe King's Quest and Space Quest too. The Wii pointer would be perfect for playing old point and click games like that. Yeah when someone send me the link I didn't realize it was a humour/parody site. I should have look at the other "tech news" stories. Too bad though, that would be pretty hilarious to see.
