Stanford completes an impressive 31-0 loss to UCLA, keeping pace with Colorado in the race to be the first team that has played in a BCS game to post an 0-12 season.

Georgia better not be ranked ahead of Oregon in the polls again next week.

ESPN was selling the Cowboys-Titans game tonight as "T.O. vs. Vince Young".

Ohio State and Michigan are the best two teams in college football right now.

Georgia is proving that they are the weakest of the "big" SEC teams this year.

Yesterday I heard a bunch of USC fans going on about how Auburn doesn't deserve to be ranked #2 after winning a close game against South Carolina.

The Yooouuuuuuuuu survives 14-13 over Houston.

Oh man I could have punted the ball further than that.

ASU's tackling is among the softest I've ever seen.

Dixon, Williams, and Stewart are just having their way with ASU's pourous defensive unit right now.

How about Banders Kennany and Banders Kennany Mark. -
Stanford and Colorado are probably the top contenders from schools that have any sort of historical football prestige.

As a Duck fan I'm disappointed in the sig Dama. Not because it offends me or anything, but because it's boring. You could have at least done something a bit original like photoshopped Earl Hebner into the pic or something.

I think Troy Smith's Heisman trophy campaign is going to go something like Matt Leinart's last year, where he gets a lot of press and the tag of "early favorite" because he's the highly visible QB of the top team, but by the end of the season it will be clear that a few players have had more outstanding years. In Leinart's case it was Reggie Bush and Vince Young (and one could argue Brady Quinn), and I think in Smith's case it will be Adrian Peterson and Steve Slaton, and possibly some other guys as well.

The Big 12 (at least right now) is not a good conference to have a bowl affiliation with in terms of your #2 playing their #3 because there are two power teams (Texas and Oklahoma), one or both of whom is going to be playing in the BCS, and so you either have to hope that Nebraska (the only other real marquee program) is back on track or that there's an upset somewhere. Obviously the SEC or Big 10 would be a better conference to have in terms of playing the #3 team, but the Big 10 doesn't work because of the Rose Bowl and the SEC might not work because of the travel (although I still think SEC fanbases will travel just about anywhere).

As has been noted, the Holiday Bowl is a good bowl with a good cash payout, it just needs to be moved to New Year's.

I doubt he will be at 100% and might not even play much but you have to know TO will be there in Philly, in uniform, come hell or high water. Any other team and he'd probably take an extra week off at least.
-
I'm not too worried about the TO injury. Cowboys have a bye next week and I'm pretty sure we can handle the Titans the week after that, with or without TO. Then it's the game against the Iggles and you know that TO will be in the lineup for that one.

Good field goal for Vanderjagt to restore some confidence.

Roy Williams is having a killer game tonight.
-
Yeah and he had Tommy Frazier and Lawrence Phillips to run his offense through.
-
I thought the whole point of Callahan going to Nebraska was to run a more modern offense and yet here he is doing nothing but running plays.

Wow is it ever nice to have a punter who can actually kick the ball.
