Oh man Parcells is going to be pissed.
-
That was in the endzone on 3rd down, but no matter.

Personally all the Sooners fans I ran into in Eugene over the weekend were great. Had beers with some at the bar and chatted with a bunch of them. All the ones I talked to after the game were very gracious in losing as well.

Glad to see the Iggles choke that one away.

The rout is starting for USC. Nebraska misses a potential pick for a score, fumble a little while later, and USC turns that into 7 points.
-
Yeah Doug Flutie was PISSED on ABC. One more thought on the game for now (I'll probably have more later): holy fuck is Adrian Peterson good.

Just got back from Autzen Stadium and I'm still dizzy. That was the most crazy atmosphere I've ever been part of. I almost had a heart attack over the last two minutes of the game. I haven't had a chance to see the replays and consider them objectively but I'm inclined to believe you guys since it's almost unanimous that the calls were BS and only Dama is a Sooners fan. Obviously nothing can be changed now but if that's what happens I'm a bit sorry to win the game that way. But a win is a win at the end of the day.

Exactly. The guys who get remembered that way are systems QBs from programs that were always pumping out players with great college stats (such as all of Spurrier's guys, all of Bowden's early 90s guys, everyone from Texas Tech now, and so on). Vince Young was a unique player and his performance in the 2006 Rose Bowl is one of the greatest in the history of sports.

Maria bagelled Mauresmo twice, haha. Hopefully Justine squashes her tomorrow.

I thought "The World Is Not Enough" was decent, but "Die Another Day" was pretty bad. Brosnan's run was still one of my favorites though merely due to the presence of "Goldeneye" which is the best of the Bond movies.

Cryme Time... Opinions???
Hogan Made Wrestling replied to Lt. Al Giardello's topic in The WWE Folder
Come on man, you know they won't. I wouldn't be shocked if WWE hires 100 pregnant women and say Cryme tyme are the babies daddies. Hell lets go all the way and have Kamala come in with Grills. They can sniff cocaine and drink Colt 45. I want to see JTG pour a Colt 45 on the stoop in honour of one of his fallen homies. -
Looks like a pretty good prediction by Leena. 7-6 in the first and now Roger is just cruising, up 5-0. EDIT: Roger wins 6-0 and it's 2-1 in the 3rd set.

"Who defines our generation" is the alternative version of "who runs the rap game".
-
Watching Roddick-Hewitt last night, and seeing Roddick run up to the net for a serve-and-volley on more than one occasion, I have to wonder why he will only do stuff like that against Lleyton and other players at his level but when he plays Roger it's back to his "serve and pray" style. You'd think he'd have figured out by now that for a chance to beat Fed he's got to play more creatively.
-
What makes this nonsense especially ridiculous is that you can't compare defensive and offensive players just by looking at stats which is what ESPN seems to want to do.
-
Hey, I love Roger too. I'd be happy to see him win tournaments from now until he retires. I just think it's amusing the way so many tournaments end up with Roger against one of the aforementioned pair and Fed whipping their butts.
-
Great, so another tournament that is going to feature Roger in the finals against Lleyton or Andy with Fed winning it in straights. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

I totally agree, especially about the shoutouts part. -
Who runs the emo game?

One thing I like about these big games early on is that it helps to greatly clear up many of these debates. Is Texas the real deal or is their first game a smoke screen? We don't have to wait until the Red River Shootout or the end of the season, we find out on Saturday.

That's a total BS comment. It would be one thing to say that if they'd won the championship game last year (in which case you'd pretty much have to say it) but it's pretty clear there is no "best team in the country until proven otherwise" this season, although I suppose the winner of the OSU-Texas game could lay claim to that title. He did set up any future arguments very well, though, since there's no one on their schedule that's going to be able to prove USC isn't the best team in the country. Notre Dame?
