Doing a U-turn to avoid the cops is the first defensive move that JJ Redick has made all season...

We know it's a work. But ECW is the funnest work there is to be a part of. I'm talking about the crowd at the arena.
-
Someone needs to let ECW fans know that wrestling is a work.

The best performances of this decade

JAMES SPADER as "Alan Shore" in "Boston Legal" (ABC) James Spader is a two-time Emmy award winner for his portrayal of ethically-challenged lawyer Alan Shore, first on "The Practice" and then on the spin-off "Boston Legal", and with good reason. His performances over the last 3 years are some of the best work ever produced on television. Spader has taken advantage of great writing to produce one of the most unique characters on television. Spader manages to be repulsive and charming at the same time, and unlike a lot of male dramatic leads, isn't consumed with personal demons that manifest as a brooding intensity. Instead, he's direct and uncompromising, just as likely to launch into a vitriolic tirade as he is to crack a joke or make a leud comment to a member of the opposite sex. Spader's interactions with William Shatner's character Denny Crane (who gets an honorable mention for this thread) are the highlight of every episode, and their chemistry is unmatched anywhere on TV. -

Thor MUST be played by Triple H. -
Tomorrow's final has the potential to be one of the defining moments in the history of tennis.
-
Justine takes care of Kimmy and sets up a pretty good final.
-
This trend of Kim eliminating Martina from the grand slams is making me dislike her very rapidly.
-
It's too bad Justine and Martina are in the same draw because that would be easily the most appealing final at this point.
-
I think a lot of that has to do with how Wilbon and Kornheiser were constantly slamming Justine and Kim a few years back as part of their nut-hugging of the Williams brothers.
-
True. Martina is the only top WTA player I can stand nowadays. Well, her and Justine, but I can see why people find Justine annoying. Let's all pray she can beat St. Kim in the QF. Really the Aussie Open final is the only big blight on Henin-Hardenne's track record. If she'd gutted that one out and simply lost the last set I don't think many people would have much bad to say about her. Speaking of Justine, she's putting the screws to Myskina, 6-1 and 3-0 right now.

For some reason, I think it would be really hilarious if Kane's movie eventually outdrew Lindsay Lohan's. -
Sharapova with yet another breakdown to choke away a match. Lately it seems the only people she can beat regularly are other Russians with equally weak mental games.

Not so fast there...

Martina Hingis' comeback is basically saving womens tennis right now.

Classic match underway right now between Nadal and Mathieu. Nadal is leading 5-7 6-4 6-4 3-4 in the fourth set and this has already gone 4 and a half hours. For a second I thought NBC was going to switch over to the Blake-Monfils match (which would have been an awful decision) but they only showed a couple of points before going back.

I loved that point of the game last night where someone on Phoenix got T'd up and then they all started bitching. Then another technical gets called right as they are going to a commercial.
-
What a HUGE fucking game by Dirk! 50 points and 11 rebounds, and every 3-ball he puts up is dropping. This guy is a total monster.

After seeing X-Men 3 and comparing it to X-Men 2, I am very excited to see what Singer has in store with this movie. -
Funny I found it to be the exact opposite way. In X-2 the X-Men need to succeed because it's actually their lives at stake. If they don't stop Striker's plan then all the mutants will die. Whereas in this one (and in the first movie) it's mostly "the X-Men protect the humans from Magneto" although this time there was the Phoenix aspect added in. X-2 felt a lot more dramatic to me than either of the others.
-
I'm betting X-3 will have terrible legs. I'll be shocked if this gets passed 300 million, and will be surprised if it makes 250.
-
Watching X-2 and then watching this is like a watching 4 hour advertisement for Superman Returns.
-
While I was watching this (and in particular when Phoenix killed Xavier and at the end when she was basically disintegrating everything), I kept thinking that they might as well have cut out the subtlety and just had Jean wearing the Infinity Gauntlet. It felt that ridiculous at times.
