Why do people keep keep acting like USC is some thuggish, arrogant school with a bunch of cocky athletes? You act like they are the Miami Hurricanes or something. I can't ever recall a USC player talking trash about an opponent or disrespecting an opponent or their fans by flipping them off or doing ridiculous TD dances. They get a really bad rep for no reason. Yes, Leinart acted bitchy tonight, but he just lost the biggest game of his career and immedietly got 100 cameras shoved in his face. It's hard to say how you should react to that. He's a very humble guy, he was just pissed. I can understand that. It's the reputation of the student body as a whole passing down onto the football team.

Well, technically the game was in '96, even though it was for the '95 season. This is the kind of confusion that comes with having your season crossover a calendar year True enough, in fact they are all that way. So I retract my previous statement. For some reason that's just the one I noticed.

Overall, I'd say this year was the best selection of BCS games ever, despite all the sloppiness and missed kicks (which made for bad technical football but did help to add drama). In particular the last two games were real classics.

I'm not sure I've seen a better individual performance by a player...in any sport.

Texas' defensive speed has been effective containing Bush but can't match White's power game. White is going to be a good workhorse NFL back.

I think their best chance is to score on their first drive and then chew up as much of the clock as possible. Get into the 4th quarter with a 2 score lead and USC will be worried.

By the way, does anyone remember that play to start the game where Bush got the ball, Texas had 4 guys in the backfield instantly, and they just forced him out of bounds for no gain? That's exactly what will happen if he gets drafted by the Texans.
