Lee Corso wearing that longhorn head was actually pretty funny. He almost popped a blood vessel when he was talking about the game too. This pre-game show has been awful with that stupid Farrell-McConnehy segment.

Crazy game. Some of the lesser bowl matchups were poorly done but the BCS games have been money so far.

I was about to make a post exactly like this. I haven't even watched most of the game, but every time I do turn it on they are talking about this.

One of my favorites is a vegetarian version of mapo-tofu that uses asparagus instead of minced pork. It's basically: tofu, asparagus, green onions, various peppers, chili black bean paste, and soy sauce. A really nice spicy dish that is best served with some plain rice.

Note that Bored said "back to back years". EDIT: As for your second question, Virginia Tech lost the championship game to FSU and finished ranked 2nd. Unless the game is a complete blowout I imagine whoever loses the Rose Bowl this year will finish 2nd. Last year was different because Auburn finished the season undefeated so it made sense that they finished ahead of a 1-loss team.

Here's a question: can anyone remember a year where we have both: 1. so many highly-ranked preseason teams be exposed as frauds (Michigan, Tennessee, Iowa, Oklahoma, etc.) AND 2. so many teams fly up the rankings as they went on hot streaks only to come crashing back down (Michigan State, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Fresno State, etc.)

Someone explain how Wisconsin is giving a complete beating to Auburn? This is the one score so far I just can't figure out.

Aside from quantum mechanics, the Big Bang Theory is possibly the most well-supported theory in physics. To compare it with intelligent design and call it an "educated guess" is insulting. The theory rests on essentially three main points, each of which has been tested experimentally and been able to predict results: 1. the cosmic microwave background radiation 2. the expansion of the universe (Hubble redshift) 3. the abundance of the light elements Steady-state theories and the like have basically disappeared as they have been unable to explain these facts without resorting to absurdities (such as violating the law of the conservatiion of mass-energy).

I agree with you, but TIME basically pissed all over that by not making Bin Laden person of the year in 2001. Making "The American Soldier" person of the year last year was pretty lame as well.

Care to elaborate on that? What I mean is that it wasn't a big news year for human stories, all the major stuff that happened was nature related. And most of the humans in the news this year were there for negative reasons (Brown, Delay, Nagin, Libby, etc.). Live 8 was one of the more successful and noteworthy positive events that happened.

I don't see anything wrong with these choices, particularly given what happened this year. Although if I was voting myself, I'd probably go with Patrick Fitzgerald.

Personally, I would love to have "Hollywood Hogan: Why I Rule The World" on DVD.

Worth noting is that whoever reviewed this on Foxnews.com (I've lost the link, sorry) really enjoyed it and gave it a very positive review.

What I really wish would have happened with the bowl games is for Miami to have won the ACC, then have Penn State vs. Oregon in the Fiesta Bowl and a good ole' Notre Dame vs. Miami, "Catholics vs. Convicts" game in the Orange Bowl.

Miami's players would probably mistake the snow for coke and start trying to snort the field.

This one is pretty much restricted to Canadians: You are in a room with Osama Bin Laden, Saddam Hussein, and Brian Mulroney. You've also got a gun, but only two bullets. What do you do? A: You shoot Mulroney twice just to be sure.

My main reason for wanting to see Oklahoma lose their bowl games is now gone, namely for the next Monday when the Coach would wear the other team's jersey and spend half of RAW arguing with JR about the football game.
