I was kind of hoping that Nordgren would have scored the touchdown there, don't know why.
-
And when the other team is giving you the ball on each of their possessions. The blocked punt for a touchdown can't be viewed as running up the score either.

Young had a good enough game to win the Heisman in the very unlikely event that Bush falters (or gets injured, which is probably more likely) against UCLA.

HAHAHA

There are a decent number of cowboy hats around here. The only people who wear them are sorority girls though. The sorostitute outfit of choice this year seems to be a pair of too-tight jeans, a white or pink tank top, and a cowboy hat. And a white hoodie with pink lettering if it's cold out.
-
Next year is going to have a loaded Heisman trophy field with Young, Brady Quinn, Adrian Peterson, probably one of Chad Henne and Michael Hart, LenDale White (if he stays), and whoever else breaks out next season.

Interesting debate from Ottawa
Hogan Made Wrestling replied to CanadianGuitarist's topic in Current Events
I think that's a totally different thing. I always say "Happy Holidays", which to me is just shorthand for "Merry Christmas/Happy Hannukah/enjoy whatever it is you celebrate - and a happy new year". -
Totally agree. He's the best rookie in the NHL and one of the top 3 goaltenders. Hopefully playing in New York will be enough to get him some recognition this season.

What, no Ron Powlus?

The media can always reach a new level of verbal fellatio when it comes to Notre Dame.
-
Initial reaction: more sucking up to Notre Dame (basically saying "Notre Dame controls their own destiny at all times").

If Texas loses I'd imagine they would fall below Penn State no matter what. If USC loses to 1-loss UCLA, then it would probably depend on how the actual game goes and what the final score is. Note that USC is the Pac-10 conference champion no matter what happens, so they would be getting punished for losing late in the season rather than early. I'd say for USC to drop out of the title game they would have to put up a terrible performance. We're talking OU 2003 against KSU here.

EDSBS: 52 reasons why ESPN sucks

Stuart Scott has 51 nicknames? -
If you can't see the difference between that and what Vince said, then god help you.

Modest Mouse - what on earth do people see in this band to love them so much?

DJ Clue's name being on the album cover lets you know immediately how much this is going to suck. I hope that "feat. Ice Cube" is just a sample and he didn't actually have anything active to do with this stupidity. Ice Cube is way too good to be involving himself in this Game/50 Cent/G Unit nonsense.

Not as funny because then it would come off as more redneckish, whereas Vince saying it screams "rich pompous white guy totally out of touch with reality".

Stupidest/Worst/Most Offensive Smackdown (Special)
Hogan Made Wrestling replied to Fuzzy Dunlop's topic in The WWE Folder
That was my reaction as well. -
I agree that one is definitely funnier than the other. And if someone wants to be offended every time someone says "nigga" in an ironic or satirical way, that's their right. It just seems people are blowing this way out of proportion because it involves Vince and the WWE. Vince being a rich, out of touch white guy trying to sound "urban" and coming off like an idiot is the whole intention of the line. In fact, it would have worked a lot less well if it had been anyone but Vince doing it, because the exagerration factor would have been lessened.
-
So I take it everyone here getting offended by this was all up in arms about Dave Chapelle's "Niggar family" skit from a few years ago?
-
Translation: Boo hoo hoo I'm a little bitch that gets offended at every "edgy" thing the WWE does, because as a wrestling fan it's my job to hold Vince McMahon to a way higher standard than anyone else. Maybe I should work for the FCC or something...
-
Some people seem to go out of their way to get offended by anything WWE does that they would have no problem with on just about any other show on TV (and this was on PPV no less). It's as if people automatically becoming thin-skinned little ninnies while watching WWE programming so that they can go on about how tasteless and exploitative Vince is while they talk about how cool pretty much the same gimmick/plot element/controversy is on CSI/24/Law and Order/Nip-Tuck/Family Guy/OC/whatever the next week.

Leafs Lunch has got to be the most intolerable radio broadcast in the universe.

The other funny thing about that scenario is that there are so many big upsets involved, that when the dust settles the championship game would be relatively uncontroversial. USC would obviously be #1 and Penn State would be a clear #2 being the only 1-loss conference champion (from one of the top 5 conferences). Now the other games would be total ass: Fiesta: Colorado vs. Ohio State Orange: WVU/FSU vs. Texas Sugar: Georgia vs. WVU/FSU Of course if UCLA somehow beats USC, all bets are off...
