Not a suit, just to look presentable. A dress shirt and slacks, not some huge ass white T and baggy pants. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So what's to stop a player from wearing a huge baggy dress shirt and dress pants 4 sizes too large? Also, I'd like to see a player challenge the "no gold chains" part in court by wearing a cross and then accusing the NBA of religious discrimination.
-
I wonder if Stern is going to try banning players from recording rap albums or appearing in music videos next.
-
Other possible options: -wear a suit that is way oversized so that it's all baggy -dress like a total pimp, Deion Sanders-style

Someone needs to do the Will Smith thing with the jacket turned inside out.

So am I the only one who thinks they intentionally picked guys like HHH to call the Warrior "unprofessional", because they knew a certain segment of their fanbase would react to it? (and even if WWE doesn't care much about the internet fans in general, they know those fans are a decent percentage of the DVD-purchasing crowd) It seems that by having certain people make outlandish statements they attract buyers based on the "car crash factor" whereas if was guys like Bret Hart trashing the Warrior I doubt many people would give a shit.

I was thinking the exact same thing. That pairing makes Carville vs. Novak seem almost tolerable.

Then what the hell are people saying it didn't do good for? It kicked Nightmare Before Christmas 2's ass... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Because those movies arn't new releases.

Grad school in mathematics at the U of Oregon. I find out this week if I passed my qualifying exams or not, which would move me from the pre-PhD program to the PhD program. I've already qualified for a Masters, I just need to fill out the paperwork. -
One thing that is annoying me about USC is constantly seeing Leinhart at the top of all the "Heisman Watch" lists and related things with everyone saying it's his to lose. From my point of view, Reggie Bush has been WAY more impressive this season than Leinhart. A lot of Leinhart's success comes from the fact that he has a great line and that Bush opens up the field so much defenses can't key on Leinhart for very long. For instance this week against Oregon, the Ducks defense focused on stopping the pass and were relatively successful in containing Leinhart during the first half, despite getting practically no pressure on him all game. But once Bush started making big plays the defense had to key in on him which opened things up for Leinhart. I can tell you that everyone in the crowd was deathly scared every time Bush touched the ball, which can't be said for every time Leinhart threw it. Personally, I'd have Bush as the big Heisman leader right now, and possibly have Drew Stanton at #2, especially if he can beat Michigan next week. But I think the media just have this love affair with Leinhart and making him the "next Archie Griffin" and so he will probably win by default if the Trojans don't lose.

If anyone is irking people it is you. Texas has done absolutely nothing yet to indicate they are a fraud, and none of the creampuffs left on their schedule are going to provide much opposition either. If they are going to get exposed it's going to be in a bowl game, which puts them a far cry away from Michigan and Iowa at this point. Incidentally, I would like to apologise to Tennessee for slagging them earlier in this thread. And I'm very pleased to see another undefeated team go by the wayside.
-
I hate to say this as a fan of the maize and blue, but have any two teams been more exposed as frauds than Michigan and Tennessee? EDIT: and don't say Oklahoma because I don't think anyone was picking them as a national title contender this year, unlike these two. Pesonally, I expect Michigan to be this year's Auburn: a highly ranked team that suffers through a mediocre year, then puts together a huge season next year but has to climb their way up the polls because they are no longer getting the benefit of doubt from the preseason voters.
-
The #1 ranked defense of an undefeated team deserves at least a bit of credit.

Wilbon must have some secret man-love relationship with Ty Willingham or something...

If you've got some cash to burn, you might want to try soft shell pants. Pants made of materials such as Polartec Power Shield and Power Stretch, Gore Windstopper Trango, or Schoeller Dynamic combine toughness and durability (they are typically made for mountain, ice and rock climbing) with 4-way stretch comfort, wind and water resistancy (typically they are treated with a DWR finish and are made of a windproof fabric such as those I named). The big disadvantage to these sorts of pants is cost: cheaper models such as the REI Mistral or North Face Apex pants usually run between 75 and 150 dollars. More expensive ones such as Arc'teryx Gamma or Mountain Hardware Alchemy pants cost between 200 and 300 a pair. Though if the Alchemys are anything like the jacket of the same name then they are probably worth the money.

The exact same thing can be said for the AP Poll. And it's not like many people in the coache's poll know much outside of the big teams and their own conference.
-
And without the BCS that game would have never taken place.
-
I really hope this season ends with only two undefeated teams (from major conferences, I couldn't care less if there's an undefeated team ranked in the 20s or something like that), and we get a title game for an undisputed champion. Although I'm sure if that happens, there will be people complaining that some one-loss team should be in the championship game and how unfair the system is and so on.
-
Frankly I'd agree with Dama here, and I'm not a fan of any Big 12 team. People take shots at the Big 12 every chance they get and exagerrate how bad the teams are. I've also seen people defend some way shittier Pac-10 conferences in the past.

Tonight features one of my most anticipated season premieres as Chris Noth returns to the Law & Order fold, bringing the Mike Logan character to L&O:CI.

I'd pay good money to see Kobashi job to Triple H, just for the collective shitfit that would erupt on the net.
-
None of those places are around here. If I ever see one of their stores though I'll make sure to check it out. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Do you have an REI in your area? If so, that is wear you want to shop. Not only do they sell the highest-quality brands (I have a pair of North Face Paramount convertible pants that sound like the kind of thing you are looking for), but you can return ANYTHING, at any time, for any reason. I've worn shirts for a couple of months, then decided I don't like them and brought them back for a full refund. If you wreck something, just bring it back and get another or get you cash back.

I thought the second episode was a big improvement over the first one and I like the direction this show is going. It's pretty much a blatant Crossing Jordan ripoff both in style and in characters (Bones is Jordan, Seeley is Woody, and her tech crew are like the morgue crew in CJ) but that's all right with me because I like Crossing Jordan and the dynamic of that show, and it works well here as well. I think they've got the right "relationship dynamic" between the two lead characters (hopefully they don't shoot their load - pun intended - and have them jump in the sack by the next episode or something ridiculous like that), and this episode had the right balance between single-episode plotline and character advancement. This will probably stay in my rotation of shows for the time being.
