ABC apologizes for steamy Monday Night intro
Hogan Made Wrestling replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Sports
Agreed. After seeing the clip again, Nicole looks eerily like Sable. Which made my little buddy wilt in pain. Is the clip available online anywhere? -
Safe to say that will increase the quality of this movie tenfold. In fact, with Singer and Spacey involved, I'd probably see it regardless of what else happens.

ABC apologizes for steamy Monday Night intro

How long until the networks are going to have to "formally apologize" for streakers showing up on the TV? -
Kurt Angle vs. Daniel Puder: The Whole Story
Hogan Made Wrestling replied to Enigma's topic in The WWE Folder
I don't ever recall ANY of this drawing when they did it was Ken Shamrock, Dan Severn, or Brawl for All. Dirty secret that Meltzer and his lapdogs don't want to admit: most fans of pro wrestling and MMA are fans of one but not the other, and they are not going to suddenly start paying money for the other product to see a 2nd rate version of what they are already getting. When Tyson did Wrestlemania, the people interested weren't boxing fans, they were the fans who view Tyson as a sideshow loose cannon attraction. -
Kurt Angle vs. Daniel Puder: The Whole Story
Hogan Made Wrestling replied to Enigma's topic in The WWE Folder
Meltzer is talking totally out of his ass. This "angle" would mean pretty much nothing to all but the hardcore fans. And in particular, the only people who really care about this are guys like Meltzer who are desperate to associate pro wrestling and "real fighting" (witness the debacle that was the last WON HOF voting). The fact that Meltzer is using Russo/TNA-esque terms like "water cooler talk" just shows how ludicrous the idea of this as a big money-making angle really is. -
No, it'd show that White isn't the best QB in college --- much less the best player. -=Mike ...Alex Smith should be in the running, but the voters hate smaller schools, right? One thing that's been hilarious this year is the press bending over backwards to try and portray themselves as on the side of the small schools against the "evil BCS", but each week when the rankings come out, where are Utah and Boise State doing better? Hint: it's not in the polls. What's even worse is that fans are actually buying this "BCS computers screw the mid-majors" kool-aid that the media is passing around.

Right now White is the clear frontrunner, and is pretty much down to three guys for me: White, Alex Smith, and Reggie Bush.

Iggy's college football rankings for 11/14/04
Hogan Made Wrestling replied to iggymcfly's topic in Sports
My prediction: someone in the top 3 loses, and all the pissing and moaning this season goes for naught. People switch gears and whine for a few weeks about how Utah deserves to be in the title game and the system doesn't work because they arn't there, until they play and lose in their BCS bowl and finally, when it's all said and done, the complainers are reduced to talking about how undefeated Boise State should have a share of the national title with OU/USC/Auburn, at which point they lose all credibility forever. I would also laugh if Utah lost next week, and all the bitching and crying that would go with it. -
I don't see Tom Ridge as a credible contender for the Republicans. I don't know there that high ranking for him came from.

OK, now as a Canadian I have to say THAT is funny.

I think the point people are making is that it shouldn't be.

Problem is that the majority IS stupid. You know it, you've ranted about uninformed ignorant voters before. I wouldn't rant about them being stupid because they voted against what I wanted. I didn't call anybody stupid for voting for Clinton. People can be quite stupid. HOWEVER, if you're trying to argue a point, calling the people you're attempting to persuade "Stupid" is a pretty poor tactic. -=Mike Are you saying that Bill O'Reilly's debate tactics are poor? TRAITOR.

Give up on what? His biggest cash cow? Mikey is going to milk Bush for every dollar he's worth.

Bit of both.

Slaughterhouse Found in Iraq
Hogan Made Wrestling replied to Prime Time Andrew Doyle's topic in Current Events
Who was there? Just the Sarge, or were Lt. Falcon, the indian guy, and that Cobra deserter also hanging out? -
Because you know what all those guys have in common? NONE are considered "great actors" Johnny Depp IS by a lot of people This is an inequity that needs to be fucking remedied. Cary Grant, Sean Connery, and BOGEY are not considered "great actors"? And I must say I never cared for Edward Scissorhands, but I really liked Depp in The Ninth Gate and Pirates of the Carribean.

No way does Ashcroft survive a fillibuster in the Senate. He's about the least likely Supreme Court justice I can think of. -

For me its down to White and Alex Smith for quarterbacks, Perterson, Arrington, Benson, and Bush for running backs. Rodgers and Leinart have outside chances if others falter.
-
I pray it doesn't come to that. I'd take Jeb Bush over Delay. The thought of the Gerrymandering Exterminator as president is almost too terrible to contemplate.

A Poem I Wrote About The Storming Of Fallujah
Hogan Made Wrestling replied to a topic in Current Events
When I read the subtitle, I thought this was going to be a new version of Method Man's remix of the Rock's theme music. -
So now point differential is now more important than wins and losses? Now I remember why I can't stand BCS-bashers: they will look for ANY excuse to claim the champion didn't deserve it. Heck, if Michigan and Nebraska had played in the BCS title game in 1997, I'm sure there would be someone here complaining about how the winner isn't the true national champion because they didn't play some undefeated team from a mid-major like Tulane or something.

The head of the Liberty Bowl is making a stink about how they support the Mountain West and it's not fair that a BCS bowl game will get to "steal" Utah away. I can think of about 13 million reasons why Utah would disagree with that position.
