    The New World Order

The only thing putting me in a heavy sweat is fear of your crushing grasp of inane conspiracy theories. Honestly. -=Mike What we've learned from Mike today: No matter how convincing or accurate a source may be, if it dosen't agree with him, it's a conspiracy theory. Thanks Mike! May your new buzzwords run rampant on this board. What exactly is the source here? He listed the members of PNAC, their backgrounds, and their official statements. Everyone knows this stuff, in fact, the members are proud of it. The conspiracy theory stuff is just baseless fear-mongering. It's essentially a blue print for further war mongering and imperialistic tendencies. But hey, if you think war and hegemony are cool , then by no means is there anything wrong with that. I don't like PNAC or their policies one bit. But don't pretend they are some sort of conspiracy when their entire mission statement is wide out in the open for all to see, and their members revel in it; you make it sound like they lurk in the shadows.

Don't give him ideas. I've yet to recover from the mauling of his editing of my post for "accuracy". -=Mike ...I have money on him hitting a "PWNED!" at some point soon now... Nah...YOU GOT SERVED~!

    The New World Order

It should be noted that many members of PNAC were prepared to throw their support behind President Clinton if he would agree launch a war against Iraq. This is hardly some element of the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy as some want to believe.

Theres a "joke" in the post right above yours. Ahh, beaten to the punch. Yeah, that one's fairly appropriate. Can Al Sharpton be Vincent? EDIT: No wait, Clarence Thomas!

What would be the equivalent of Hogan turning? Clinton maybe?

    The Bible is literally true.

Shit, IRDM probably believes that the value of Pi is 3. And does anyone ever find it funny that when creationists argue about evolution they always go right back to Darwin, as if Ernst Mayr and Stephen Jay Gould's theory of punctured equilibrium simply doesn't exist?

    The New World Order

I'm assuming that Bush is Hall and Cheney is Nash? Bush: You wanna go to war? You want a war? You gonna get one! *Cheney powerbombs John Edwards through the debate table* EDIT: Edwards makes a pretty good Bischoff, now that I think about it. He's got all the insincere sleaziness down pat.

This thread sucked until the Goodfellas pic made an appearance.

Am I the only one who liked this storyline even with Vince being the higher power? Nope, I loved it, especially the actual scene on RAW: Vince: IT WAS ME AUSTIN! IT WAS ME ALL ALONG! Then JR flips out about how horrible Vince is while Lawler laughs his head off. Vince and Shane's look when Austin is announced as CEO is also priceless.

Laws or issues that you support or want adopted

How about a repeal of McCain-Feingold? I'd be all for that.

Am I the only one who finds the amount of influence college football and basketball coaches carry in some states to be ridiculous? I mean, if Coach K endorsed David Duke I'm sure every slobbering idiot on the Duke campus would be lining up to vote for him.

The Guardian's website sucks. And your point about the British press is well-taken, since every paper other than the three I named is a tabloid piece of crap.

What the hell does patriotism have to do with it? Or are you just using this as a typical buzzword?

I also had the Telegraph, but here's the Guardian. Oooo, the Guardian. There's a credible source. Whether or not this is true, it's quite hilarious. Uh, it's one of the most credible newspapers in the world. Just because you don't like their editorial page doesn't make their journalism shoddy. There's only three good newspapers in England: the Guardian (liberal), the Times (conservative), and the Independent (who actually live up to their name).

The OAO Vice Presidential Debate Thread

The problem was Cheney meant to plug the nonpartisan factcheck.org, but instead he plugged factcheck.com, GEORGE SOROS' website. It was Cheney's biggest blunder of the night, actually.

The real cheater - Bush had an earpiece!

While I don't think it was a radio transmitter, there are both receiver units of that size, and putting them in that location is also fairly common. Any pro cyclist wears a unit like that in a small, square shaped compartment in the back of their jersey, to communicate with the team car.

    Electoral Vote Predictor 2004.

Do people seriously get paid good money to conclude that 50% of the people in the United States are Republican and 50% of them are Democrat?

    Another defection

Am I the only one who is really sick of the focus being put on individual examples of liberals or conservatives who have switched to the other ticket? I mean, it would be one thing if the entire Kennedy clan declared themselves to be Republican, but no one made a big deal when a bunch of Maria's relatives support Arnold.

The Weimar Republic is a great example of why pure democracy doesn't work, and why checks and balances have to be implemented.
