Singh missed his putt which means this thing can still be decided on the 18th.
-
Singh just hit the best shot of the day on 17 to give himself another shot at birdie. Both of the other guys are way short and Singh could seal up the title here.

Vijay is up by one through one hole of the playoff. On another board I picked Ernie and Phil this week (yeah I know, I really went out on a limb with that prediction), and both were pretty close to getting into the playoff. I would have loved to have seen one of them in there.

I don't think David Stern's opinion should matter at all. USA Basketball needs to totally separate itself from the management of the NBA.
-
Well, it's a BS tournament anyway because of the age restriction, and the fact that it carries little prestige compared to the World Cup and the Euro. If given the choice, Christiano Ronaldo would be playing for ManU, not playing for Portugal in this nothing tourney.

Uhh...because the NBA has soft drink commercials and Sportscenter Top 10s and shoe contracts and stuff?

Here's a good article on Team USA: Team USA built for marketing, not winning This line in particular is telling:

2004 AP Preseason Top 25 for College Football
Hogan Made Wrestling replied to Bored's topic in Sports
Well I see one sure loss on Oregon's schedule..... I thought the same thing last season, and my Wolverines lost their undefeated record and chance at the national championship. Don't count chickens before they hatch, especially against teams that have been spoilers in the past. -
Ironically, before he was signed to the developmental deal, the local indy fed that I work for was thinking of bringing him in for our 9/11 show. Hard to think of him as a WWE superstar. I have doubts that he'll get very far, anyway. Obviously he's not, I was just being sarcastic and mocking the two threads from earlier this week that referred to him as a superstar.

What a letdown, from the thread title I was sure you were going to describe a meeting with WWE "Superstar" Shawn Daivari.

2004 AP Preseason Top 25 for College Football
Hogan Made Wrestling replied to Bored's topic in Sports
I'm going to grad school at the University of Oregon this year and I look forward to taking in the college football experience. I'm hoping to attend at least one home game this year, anyone got a recommendation from among these games: Idaho, September 25th Arizona St. October 2nd Arizona, October 16th (homecoming game) UCLA, November 13th -
CBC's coverage is good for any event in which there are either no Canadians or they are not considered possibles to medal at all. Otherwise, the coverage is horribly biased.

I don't see why he would, seeing as how the story about him inventing baseball is basically fiction invented by Spalding, and there are far more legitimate claims to that distinction.

Paulo Bettini won the men's cycling road race, one second ahead of Sergio Paulinho. Alex Merckx finished seven seconds back for the bronze.

Others have in the past suggested they do a "rich Saudi playboy" gimmick, which I think would probably be the only entertaining way of doing a gimmick with an arabic-styled wrestler. It would get heel heat from the obnoxiousness and not just the skin tone.

This guy just oozes "Indy Spotmonkey" from every pour of his body.

Washington and Chicago were both cities I enjoyed a lot while travelling through the States, and had plenty to do on a modest budget. New York was also fun but cost a little more.

Terry Nichols says he's sorry
Hogan Made Wrestling replied to kkktookmybabyaway's topic in Current Events
I don't think I like what you're implying. He didn't get death because he was a conspirator in the bombing and helped it along, but didn't actually pull the trigger... This was not an issue that religion saved his ass. This is not some issue of pity on the Christian. Don't even pretend to insinuate that. You might want to look into what some of the jurors have said about this case. -
Terry Nichols says he's sorry
Hogan Made Wrestling replied to kkktookmybabyaway's topic in Current Events
If Terry Nichols had converted to Islam, does ANYONE not think he'd have received the death penalty? I'm against capital punishment, but as long as it is the law, I don't think people should be able to escape it simply by saying "praise Jesus!" in front of the jury. -
The most overrated albums in your collection
Hogan Made Wrestling replied to PLAGIARISM!'s topic in Music
Both albums are underrated among their respective band's catalogues, but I have each of them at #2. For Zeppelin, I like Physical Graffiti the best; for Sabbath, Vol. 4. -
Brock Lesnar causing havoc in scrimmage
Hogan Made Wrestling replied to Kurt Angle Mark's topic in Sports
Funny whenever I hear a story about Brock playing football I think of Danny Bateman from "The Replacements". -
The most overrated albums in your collection
Hogan Made Wrestling replied to PLAGIARISM!'s topic in Music
I would agree, and I like IV and Led Zeppelin. I couldn't put it higher than their 4th best album, and I'd actually probably have it lower. II is the most overrated Led Zeppelin album though. Now, all that being said, none of these albums are bad, it's just that they are not Zeppelin's best work (in my opinion). -
Of course, those numbers mean little for this thread because they include endorsement deals.

Tyler's new crush now has an foe in Senate race
Hogan Made Wrestling replied to kkktookmybabyaway's topic in Current Events
They are running Keyes because: 1. Everyone knows that Obama will win by a huge margin, so they arn't going to waste a candidate that might have any value in the future. 2. Keyes can smear Obama with no fear of hurting his own reputation, given that he has none. 3. Keyes will get plenty of material for his talk radio shows. -
Most of the travelling calls have been totally legit. Just because they don't get called in the NBA doesn't mean they arn't penalties.
