I don't necessarily disagree with him vis a vis Okafor/Howard, but he does this with EVERY pick. Hell, listen to his analysis of Chicago's pick (and past drafts).

Oh man am I sick of Vitale's masturbation for NCAA players. I'm so glad Lebron didn't go to college because if he did Vitale would have spontaneously combusted during his draft year.

Beat me to it. Steven A. Smith is so horrible.

Just for those interested, I was reading a bunch of reviews of this in the Guardian, which of course is a left-leaning paper from Britain. While one reviewer liked the film, the other called it "messy, overly long" and noted that Moore's attempts to "skewer Bush" were off-target and weak.

Carnoustie in 1999 may have been the most difficult course ever played during the modern era. I think it would be interesting to see how today's pro players handle Pine Valley, but it's doubtful a big tournament will ever be held there due to the lack of viewing space. I also bet Oakmont in 2007 ends up being a brutal US Open for scoring.

I'm not sure Orrin Hatch really qualifies as a conservative anymore. Hatch is also a posterchild for Senate term limits. The reason he can get away with proposing such ridiculous legislation is he doesn't run the risk of getting turfed by his constituents because he's one of these senators who will get voted in just because his name is familiar. -
The British Open is at Troon this year.

Ken Griffey Jr. just hit home run #500. EDIT: didn't see this was already posted on page 8. Funnily enough I haven't seen it on TV yet.

The second Harry Potter only had a domestic gross of 260 million. -
Something to consider: unless one party wins a majority, Martin, as the incumbent Prime Minister, will be offered the first chance at forming a government by the Governor General regardless of who ends up with the most seats.

Fight Club beating the Usual Suspects is going to make me doubt my little remaining faith in humanity.
-
Good grief. So I guess the OJ trial or something related (the low speed chase) is going to be in the top 10?

Vonnegut is one of those guys who you either love or you don't. Personally I think he's great and one of my all-time favorite writers (Cat's Cradle is probably one of my three favorite fictions books ever), but I can completely see why people might not like his work at all. -

Hey, I was stunned that their egos could both fit in a theater. -=Mike Anyone else envision Moore's appearance on "The O'Reilly Factor" degenerating into something along the lines of a "Pardon the Interruption" episode? -
OJ Hart was a gimmick? I feel violated.

They could still do well to use some common sense and think that, given the volatility of the location, they were being told to go to the scene because someone wanted media coverage of an attack or some other violent incident.
-
True enough. Just speculating here: maybe judges are receptive to this sort of thing because they are scared that if something does go wrong and they didn't grant the stay they will get sued?
-
Sorry, HMW, but doubtful. The drugs used are the same all across state lines: the procedure is the same. I was mainly looking at this line:
-
Maybe the state isn't telling them what drugs will be used, what order they will be administered, etc.? That's about the only thing that comes to mind when reading the article.
