That just made me think of something: how long until Piper fights Hogan for the NWA title?

Lots of shitty bands have already been mentioned, so I'll throw out one I haven't seen brought up yet, the Bloodhound Gang.

Faneca makes a lot of DLs look like tools, but I do agree that Sapp's best days are behind him. Wonder if any black kids will be asking Tom Jackson if it's OK for them to be defensive linemen, what with the slavemasters fining them for any little thing they do. "Why, you tackled a WHITE ball carrier, boy, that's $20,000..." Impossible. Now that Mike Alstott is injured, there arn't any white ball carriers in the NFL.

Great Article On Hogan And How He Benefits TNA And
Hogan Made Wrestling replied to BoboBrazil's topic in TNA Wrestling
They wouldn't be able to do it in the United States, so it's not like it would do them any good anyway. Besides the WWE would just pay more money if it came down to that. -
Dave Meltzer.

So who voted for Arnold?
Hogan Made Wrestling replied to Jobber of the Week's topic in Current Events
If anything I would say the comment is more of a slight against Austrian people in general than Arnold personally. The implication is that being from Austia, he might have a predisposition to be sympathetic towards Hitler. -
I'm not going to make a personal response, but instead a suggestion: decide your personal point of view on one of the topics, and argue the other way. Arguing from a Devil's advocate position will cause you to keep your focus on the facts, rules of logic, and a more impartial analysis of the argument. Arguing in favor of a position you feel strongly for, on the other hand, is much more likely to draw your feelings and emotions into the debate, which is usually not what the teacher is looking for.

You know, with all the racist/sexist/Xenophobic cracks I make, nothing burns me up more than plain old vanilla white trash. Tonight my better half and I went out for dinner at this place called Hosses, which is basically a better version of Ponderosa. Anyway, this Redneck family of three were seated in the booth across from us. Whenever a meal comes out to you the waitress ALWAYS asks you to cut into your steak to see if it meets your approval. The redneck dad did this -- I know this because I heard his freaking drawl, but then he complained to the manager because it was "all raw in the center." Of course he did this AFTER HE ATE HIS ENTIRE MEAL and demanded a full refund. When I went up to pay for my meal and the manager asked me how my dinner was I began to do my redneck imitation and said, "Except for the rednecks sitting next to me that complained about their meal after finishing it, everything was fine." Of course I couldn't finish this line because my better half smacked me for causing a scene. At least the manager and the cashier lady appreciated it, especially when I said, "anybody that says their meal was so damn terrible but yet waits until they finish it before complaining and demanding a refund should be shot on sight..." It's the same way where I live. The native americans are the most fun to stereotype and make fun of because they do the most amusing things, while the white trash are the most irritating and annoying for their pure stupidity.

My vote for Post of the Year... Seconded.

This is blasphemy. No way should a Buffy thread share the same hallowed ground as "Next Saturday, I'm Gonna Do It!".

OReilly: Media shouldn't support candidates
Hogan Made Wrestling replied to Jobber of the Week's topic in Current Events
While O'Reilly might be correct on the LA Times, he has no business criticizing CNN for pimping anyone while at the same time Hannity is blasting Tom McClintock because he won't step aside for Arnold Schwarznegger. -
Eh, those responses were both pretty average. MikeSC's was definitely a lot better than either.

Anyone seen this stupidity yet? LeBron ain't got nothin' on this guy! http://markwalker.reebok.com/ "I am Reebok" The kid's 3 years old and has already sold out!

Frankly, I'm surprised it wasn't 1. Ric Flair 2. Kurt Angle and then repeated in an alternating sequence 50 times. I'm sure in Dave's heart that's what the list looks like.

Drawing power and money made is an important part of the equation. This is the "100 guys with the best matches" list.

What a pathetic display by Moore. Some of his comments border on self-parody; his fear-mongering over the Bin Laden family (who have no relations with Osama, one brother referred to him as a "black sheep"), and the Saudis makes him sound like some of the people he loves to rip on the most. Moore really seems to have a bug up his ass about Bush, and his insults towards Bush are his weakest, least witty material ever.

Unless the Yankees fuck up royally they should win the World Series. You know, every time I see Derek Jeter make a wicked play in the playoffs like he did today, I shake my head more and more over all this "Jeter is overrated" stuff. A-Rod, Nomar, and Tejada can pump out all the regular season numbers they want, but when it's all said and done Jeter is the guy wearing the rings, and I don't think this year will be any different.

I think it would have been funny if somone on ESPN came back with a comment about how Rush was a shitty political commentator but overrated because the conservative media needed to push a white man as their top mouthpiece. They should have also had Chris Berman do an impersonation of Vince McMahon's "YOU'RE FIIIIIIIIIIIRED!" line.

From cnn.com Where's that quote of Marney's again?

I bet that within a month, 99% of the posts on that board will be people bitching about Johnson.

What, the love of Hart vs. Michaels? I'm surprised Bret in particular would consider that one of his favorites, especially given that he had to job to Shawn, and level of unprofessionalism displayed by both men.
-
Another match I would have loved to have seen is Bret Hart vs. The Rock.
-
Bret as a special ref for something like Angle v. Lesnar or Angle v. Benoit would still be pretty good.

Right, because the Drudge Report (who were the first I saw carrying this story) is a bastion of the conservative-bashing liberal media.
