Great episode, especially compared to the new series of Extras thats just started over here, which has been fairly mediocre so far. I wonder how the Gervais written episode will turn out.

I'm pretty sure that it doesn't. They're alright but its only the usual NME hype.

New Adventures is still my favourite REM album. I also must be one of the few people on the planet to think Up is a good record.

About 180lbs and can bench about the same, at the moment. I've not really tried to increase my strength in quite a while.

Goldberg had far more natural charisma than Lesnar and also had one of the most important things, credibility - at least until he was inevitabley misused and ended up as a poor parody of himself. So no, any other random big man could not have replicated Goldberg's success. To even mention Heidenreich as possibly being able to do it is a joke.

Good to see Andy Murray pick up a hard fought win today. I'm slowly warming to him. I don't know much about his potential opponents in the next round but I'd guess he has a decent chance of progressing further.

Chelsea are pretty funny in FM. Whilst managing Spurs they bought Defoe from me for £27 million. Ten months later I signed him back for £10 million. They also bought Tevez for £30m and sold him to me for £14m after about 8 months. FM07 should be pretty interesting, I'm looking forward to using the feeder club system.

Well, he can Hulk up after his opponent hits him in the face several times and he points his finger. If his opponent never punched him, or worked over the finger, he'd be screwed.

A strange decision, given how the Pure title has been at its best this year. I guess it could come back further down the line. There's also Survival of the Fittest 2006 coming up soon, I wonder if that might lead into a new title.

I'm going on a break for a while - not that it'll be much different from the past few months where I've contributed nothing anyway! He means Australia. I want Italy to win, so long as they play like they did against Germany. If they try and grind out a typical Italian win I wont really care either way.

I don't think Sven has done a terrible job, just a very very average one. Unfortunately, McLaren has been a very very average manager for Middlesborough, so I don't really see anything changing. I hope the coming season is going to see some strong performances from the young English players, we really need them to be pressing the likes of Lampard and Beckham for their places. Sadly, I can see Lampard hitting a hat trick past Fulham or someone and the media proclaiming that he's back to his best.

Federer destroying Henman was expected but kinda sad. I dont even know who Rusedski lost to. Murray looks good to go through, although I dont really like him. He's a bit of a whiny bastard, as I think Leena said earlier in the thread.

Well, he's been a semi finalist in Grand Slams a few times and been ranked no 4 in the world. For British tennis that is a big deal. I think the average Brit generally doesnt care too much about tennis beyond Wimbledon anyway.

You can't get a penalty for obstruction, only a freekick. Australia were pretty unlucky, but I thought they could maybe have attacked the Italians a little more in the second half. Brazil just swatted Ghana away without even playing well. I'm really looking forward to France/Spain later. Hopefully it'll be an open, attacking game.

Italy have got to be pleased with how thats turned out. And I look forward to Spain crushing the French.

Another mediocre performance from England, which some added awful defending this time. Apart from Joe Cole no one really made a positive impact. Still, maybe we'll keep scraping through.

Brazil/Australia could be a great match. Brazil have got to be wanting to respond to Argentina's last display, so will hopefully be a good attacking display from them.

Well, in a way this game does show the beauty of soccer, in that you can never be sure what will happen. Strange games like this are great, although admittedly more so for the neutral. And yeah, if US beat Ghana and Italy beat the Czechs, US are through.

You can "screen" a goalie all you want so long as you are onside. It was right to disallow that goal, I think.
