That's one of those things that you see for one episode and one episode only, like certain characters flying, having gadgets hidden somewhere (like a convenient buzzsaw to cut through a rope) or something like that. Like Hot Rod in the movie had that thing that came over his eyes and he zoomed in on the shuttle coming to Earth. Haven't seen it before or since or on anybody else.

For some reason I was thinking Michael Hayes, and I was surprised at how old he was. Then I was like, oh, Lord Alfred Hayes. That sucks, at least he lived a pretty full life as compared to other wrestling related personalities' deaths.

If I could chip in with my two cents, Ludwig is a capable striker, but overrated somewhat by a lot of people. I think he's been dropped in all of his K-1 MAX fights at least once.

Oh, I couldn't really remember that fight since I only watched it once, I'll have to go back and check it out. And rewatching the Rampage fight, I'm less and less impressed with Shogun's standup It just seemed sloppy at times, and his Muay Thai technique isn't as sound as Alistair's. Rampage with a broken rib was just a sitting duck for most of those strikes. I might just go with Overeem by KO in their fight.

Hansen has fought at WW before too hasn't he? He used to be (may still be) Shooto WW champ, IIRC.

Fedor/Nog III was pretty climactic, IMO. Jackson/Shogun is a fun beatdown match, but I don't know if it's a MOTYC. It's sort of in the same vein as Igor/Enson from a few years back, or Goodridge/Yatsu from Pride 11. I don't know about Terrell/Tanner either, it seemed like 80% of that match was just Tanner riding Terrell and throwing some elbows on him before the ref stopped it. I totally agree with the others and I think Pride is on a down year for great matches. 2002 was the best year for Pride match quality-wise, IMO. And if anyone can catch the K-1 MAX, do so, it should be up on torrents around Thursday or so, as it's happening this morning, eastern standard time.

Glad to know I'm not the only Kawajiri nuthugger around here. I can't stand Gomi either, for reasons other than people constantly overrating him. I agree with Lei's ratings, BTW. Imanari was way in over his head against Hansen, however. Imanari is naturally a featherweight I believe, with Hansen having a good ten pounds on him in that fight.

Yeah, pretty much him, Megatron, Soundwave, Starscream, and Grimlock are characters that absolutely can't have anyone but the original voice actors to play them. Unfortunately Chris Latta has passed on so any hopes for him to voice Starscream are gone, I always loved how he did Cobra Commander's voice too. Does anyone know if he did voices for any other cartoons?
