The OAO Thanksgiving SmackDown! thread
MillenniumMan831 replied to CanadianChris's topic in The WWE Folder
I forgot about Michaels. I figured that whole Ironman thing was just a Monsoon reference toward him. "He doesn't get warmed up till 20 minutes in" he'd profess night after night. I'll give ya Rude, but X-Pac did finish 3rd and eliminated Kane, which I wouldn't (but probably should've) expected. -

Every final four has to have at least one unlikely suspect. This week: Shelton Benjamin. -

I'm a battle royal mark, so I'm looking forward to it. Guerrero/Haas . . . should be good! Gobble gobble. -
He certainly looks different, but it looks like some of his witty spunk may be back. Go Brain Go!!!

Chris Jericho on Nitro regarding Goldberg: You're not good enough, you're certainly not tough enough, and everybody here knows you're just TOO GREEN to beat Jericho!

Barry "Hole in One" Darsow = Awesome!

Is this glitching for anyone else? It did on the DVD I took back to FYE, and it's doing it on the new one I got (but not in the same place). Weird. Mine works fine . . . him pretending to dribble was hilarious! Funk's heel turn has to be my favorite heel turn I can think of. He goes from being a respected judge, to a pesky leech, to a dangerous assassin in like 5 minutes. Gold! How many finishers did Flair take during RR92? I'll count the superkick, along with the Tornado punch, the Figure 4, the Flying Forearm, the sleeper, and I'm sure I'm missing some. BTW, (rhetorical) Is it wrong to think the Chi-Town Rumble Match was the best. Maybe I just mark out for Steamboat winning the big one, but I seem to remember enjoying that one bell-to-bell more than the other 2. I may have to rewatch it.

During the Hulk Still Rules DVD regarding Orndorff's stiff shots: Hulk: I had to tell him 'You're really hurting me brother'.

We have a winner. That's how Kramer would sell it.

Ever have someone tape over any good wrestling?

CO's mom: "Okay, (CO's sister's name), it's time for the birthday girl to blow out the candles!" <everyone sings "Happy Birthday", camera pans crowd, including young CO in a He-Man shirt> <quick cut away> "DECISIONS! RESOLUTION TO RECTIFY THE INQUISITIONS THAT LIE WITHIN, MY WARRIORS! CONFIDE IN ME YOUR CONFIDENCE! I HAVE COME TO DO NO ONE NO HARM!" <quick cut back> <CO's sister blows out the candles, and CO climbs up to the top of the fridge and does a swanton into the cake> Now, that is hilarious! -
What show do you UKers get . . . Worldwide? Sat Night? Pro? Just curious and a bit jealous.

"If it weren't for my horse, I'd never of spent that extra year in college." I think that was it.

Mostly Thunder/Sat Night tapings.

I'm guessing the microphone kept going dead. Hello . . . hello . . . hello

No, he was just a sloppy looking jobber. Balding, old, goatee, a bit of a beer belly, black tank top, average size . . . boy he was nasty!

Anyone remember the 10-Man Battle Royal on WCW Pro in 1995? It was a week or two before WW3. Disco Inferno won it by eliminating the State Patrol. Other guys included Mark Starr, Frankie Lancaster, Dave Sullivan, Cobra, Nasty Ned, and the Barrio Brothers. I was actually intrigued to see who would win because they were all such jobbers, and SOMEONE had to get a victory. Dusty predicted Nasty Ned.

I really think they should include the last Flair/Steamboat match in 1994 on the Main Event after Flair lost the WCW Title. It was only about 15 minutes, but VERY exciting. Steve Austin also made a run in, making it more 'WWE relevent'.

Not that I know of . . . I really have no idea why they put that on the back and not a pic from the Raw Tribute.

Did Ricky Steamboat have any televised successful NWA Title defenses other than Clash VI?

On the Highlight Reel after Nash shows a pic of Jericho bald. Nash: Hey, say what you want. But a lot of top guys are sporting this style.
