She looks pretty hot in that profile.

Explain the concept of the Beverly Brothers

So DiBiase can throw a few bucks towards Irwin's way and get a hefty break on his taxes.

Explain the concept of the Beverly Brothers

They were rich, pretty boys from a well-to-do suburb of Cleveland. And what they lack in brains, they make up for in the Genius. In reality, they were a midcard heel team used to put the face teams over. Ohh, I still mark for the theme music.

    JHawk's Raw on-site report

Oh hell, people can bitch all day long about Austin, but he was the person at least half the people PAID to see on Monday. And I think by the end of the night, many were satisfied. If it wasn't for the Cavs game tonight, I'd swear Austin/Goldberg would still be in the ring drinking.

    "The Ultimate Ric Flair Collection"

Nothing to hate about Luger if you limit to a certain time period. He, at one time, was a pretty damn solid worker. I thought the GAB 1988 match was very good back in the day. Haven't seen the tape in YEARS. Always wanted to see the Starrcade 1988 match, but never have. The tape I have for WrestleWar 1990 has the match JIP, but looked great nonetheless. Also liked the Luger/Flair cage match from Capital Combat 1990. No comment from the mid 1990s stuff. I marked for it, but the 1980s stuff would be MUCH better.

    "The Ultimate Ric Flair Collection"

As much as the smarks hate him, I kinda wish there was a Flair/Luger match on there. Luger's no selling and power moves complimented Flair's cowardly, desperate act pretty well.

    JHawk's Raw on-site report

Wasn't at the June 2002 Raw, but I can tell you the whole upper deck was tarped off and AT LEAST half of the club level was also tarped off. Kind of sad to see how for WWE has fallen. I really think they should consider moving into the CSU Convocation Center if things don't improve. However, it should be noted that just half the upper deck was tarped when Raw came into town March of this year. Credit that to The Rock.

    JHawk's Raw on-site report

Nice report. We were in section 108 and there was this kid with a "Will you go out with me, Nikki" sign that we were pissed as hell at. First, we grumbled to ourselves during the dark/Heat matches. Then, we yelled at him to put the sign down (We didn't want to use offensive language since there were two little kids in the row between us who seemed cool). The guy either ignored us or didn't know we were talking to him. Finally, he realizes. So, every fucking time he goes to put his sign up, we IMMEDIATELY bark "PUT THE SIGN DOWN!" And he does. 5 minutes later, it's back up, "PUT THE GODDAMN SIGN DOWN! HE AIN'T GOING OUT WITH YOU!" follows right behind and he puts the sign down. So, basically we're playing this tag game with a 17 year old turdburglar much to the amusement of our section. Sign up . . . we yell . . . he listens . . . 5 minutes later . . . sign up . . . we yell . . . he listens. Still, a fun time live. The Flair promo had us marking like bitches going to an N-Sync concert. "6 FOOT 5! 350LBS! HE'LL KILL YA! HE'LL BREAK YOUR VERTEBRAE! WOOOOOO!!!!!!!" Good stuff.

8 Simple Rules (Post John Ritter)

Nice ending . . . loved everything w/in the immediate family. Everything else was hit or miss at best.

8 Simple Rules (Post John Ritter)

I can understand that, but I think riding off the MWC gravy train will take them farther than 'finding themselves'. The comedy would probably be sharper. Just my 2 cents. And once again, the grandparents are pissing me off.

8 Simple Rules (Post John Ritter)

Yeah, it's coming off VERY awkward. It's like they want to pay a tribute to John. But they also want to pay a tribute by continuing on and being semi-humorous. But nothing is coming across as funny. Just pick a mood and stick to it . . . they can go back to the original format in later eps.

8 Simple Rules (Post John Ritter)

Kinda sad to see how Ritter's character dies in the opening minutes. It seemed the kids looked awfully chipper in the beginning. This bickering by the grandparents is gonna drive me nuts. I still think they should have brought in Ed O'Neill as Ritter's brother.

The OAO WWE RAW Thread 11-03-03

Way to build up talent, WWE, and why did the reporter talk like Joey Styles in the last sentence? Ahh gimme a break, it was 1:00AM when I typed it. BTW, the dark matches were: - Eric Young over Bobby Rude - Sean O' Haire lookalike (I actually thought it was him when he appeared) and another big guy over TYSON DUX (The crazy dancer from Velocity) and another small guy.

The OAO WWE RAW Thread 11-03-03

Just got back home from Raw . . . looking through the last couple pages . . . you mean to tell me Ric Flair's promo (w/ Batista/Orton) on Austin didn't make the air?!? Flair was a madman, it went something like this . . . "AUSTIN! AUSTIN!! AUSTIN!!! SHUT UP!!! Now you've got to answer to the man right here! 6 foot 5! 320 pounds! He's a lean, mean killing machine! And when he comes out, he's (complete with hand gestures) gonna ring you neck and break your vertebrae!" He continued for a bit more and got a really nice pop from the crowd, especially from me and my buddy who marked out like bitches. BTW, HeAT spoilers Spoiler (Highlight to Read): - Rene Dupree over Hurricane - Gail Kim over Jacqueline via submission . . . Lebron James took his seat in the front row during the entrances. - Tommy Dreamer w/ LBJ jersey over jobber. The jobber got some heat by ripping the jersey off and choking Dreamer with it. However, Tommy would hit the DDT for the win and add on a cane shot for good measure. He also gave the little kid with Lebron his cane as you may have seen on Raw. - Rosey over Rob Conway. Dupre attempted to interfere but was shooed away by the ref giving the Hurricane a chance to come in through the crowd and help Rosey get the duke.

Is it just me or do Spring/Fall.......

Same in Cleveland. Many days, we get a taste of all 4 seasons in one day. It's been in the 60s for the past few days. To quote Gilbert Gottfried, "What the FUCK?!?" It's November, where's the 2 feet of snow?

    More Torch News.

I totally agree with your 2nd paragraph. He didn't know or care to know how to keep his ego in check. However, if I had to end his undefeated streak. I'd have a HEEL end it, not a face. You find a heel (preferably not Hogan, but it probably would have been him), have him beat Goldberg in a heavily hyped match. Let the heel play up to the fact that he ended the undefeated streak. Have Goldberg challenge the heel week after week and the heel have a clause in the contract that says "NO rematch." Eventually, have them face on Nitro w/ a shmozz ending. Maybe even a 2nd rematch on Nitro if the numbers are big and then pay it off on ppv with Goldberg winning and continuing destroying people. It's almost like when a girl becomes a born again virgin, Goldberg can become a born again squasher. Of course, with Goldberg being uncooperative on more than one occasion, this may have been impossible.

    More Torch News.

I agree that Goldberg was a prick and had no respect for the business, which is discouraging. Plus, if Goldberg was in the WWF in 1998-99, he wouldn't be 1/4 as over as he was in WCW. He'd be an upper-midcarder at best. However, for one reason or another, the WCW fans LOVED this guy. He took no shit . . . and the crowd was into his shtick. Intense entrance, yelling, growling, spear, jackhammer, c'ya next week. Did he have wrestling talent? Absolutely not. BUT, Goldberg was WCW's money man. WCW fans looked to him as an improved version of SCSA, as silly as that sounds. Just having Goldberg's name on the card would sell seats and get a percentage of people to tune in to either watch him destroy his prey or wonder if the streak may just end here.

    More Torch News.

I really enjoy reading Raven's interviews. Anyone who could stand up for the WWE style and have it make perfect sense is a genius. Although, he lost me talking about Goldberg. I know what he was talking about but it came out like mish mash. I figure anyone that can make the company big bucks NEEDS to be pushed, no matter how little dues the guy has paid. Sometimes, I wonder if they had handled Goldberg's first loss better (or more so if he was still undefeated) what the financial state of the company would have been when Russo took over if he ever had to.

Ouch . . . wait till the GM Stevie Richards sees how short the thread for his show was. He'll be pissed.

    The Other Hart Brothers

I remember I first read about that from SK but, was that really the case. And even if we're talking about Vince here. I mean Keith wasn't even in the WWF at the time why would Vince want him to have a WWF title fued with him? I would guess because Owen was already tagged as a low carder. The pajama pants didn't help either.
