Saved By The Bell Questions That You Asked

I was just watching an ep were they had a time capsule for the class for 2003. DAMN it's been over 10 years already and that just hit me when they said that.

The One and Only Smallville Thread

Yeah I think John Glover is great to. As far pairs go with scenes my favorites are Clark/Lex, Lex/ Dad, Clark/Dad. And I like how they were hinting at who Clark's greatest villian could be. And Lex talking about how someone would have to go up against someone with all that power. I have a feeling that has something to do with his deal with Jor-El. And judging by the previews for next week it looks like Supergirl is going to be in the picture.

    Scientists Working on Flexible Armor

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=stor...ch_body_armor_1 Scientists Working on Flexible Armor By BRIAN WITTE, Associated Press Writer BALTIMORE - Army scientists are working on a liquid body armor for clothing that stays flexible during normal use but can harden to stop a projectile when hit suddenly. Researchers hope the liquid could be used in sleeves and pants, areas not protected by ballistic vests because they must stay flexible. The liquid, hard particles suspended in a fluid, is soaked into layers of Kevlar, which holds it in place. Scientists recently had an archer shoot arrows at it to see how well the liquid boosted the strength of a Kevlar vest. "Instead of the arrow going through the Kevlar, it is completely stopped by the Kevlar vest and sometimes just bounces right off," said Norman Wagner, a University of Delaware chemical engineering professor who is working on the project. Vests treated with the liquid have also blocked stabs from an ice pick, and researchers are doing more tests to see if it can stop bullets or shrapnel, too. The project, which has been under way for about three years, is a joint venture between the U.S. Army Research Laboratory and the University of Delaware's Center for Composite Materials. Eric Wetzel, a mechanical engineer who heads the project team for the Army lab, said a "shear thickening fluid" is a key component of the liquid armor. Hard particles are suspended in the liquid, polyethylene glycol. At low strain rates, the particles flow with the fluid, enabling clothing to stay flexible. But when heavily strained, the particles become rigid. "If it's impacted suddenly by a projectile or a knife, say, it rigidifies and somehow restricts the ability of the fabric to move," Wetzel said. The transition happens very quickly, a millisecond or quicker. Wetzel and Wagner are optimistic the liquid body armor will be useful to local police and prison guards and perhaps it could one day protect people in automobile and airplane crashes.
  4. Burt Reynolds To Star In The Longest Yard Remake You know you are old when you star in the remake of a film you had starred in.... The film is about a retired football quarterback who is forced to lead a group of inmates to victory while playing against the guards in an annual football game. Reynolds played the quarterback in the original film but will play the coach this time around. Credit: Variety
  5. WWE Has No Plans To Move Talent To SD! Promotion apparently does not care what the critics think... WWE has no plans to move any RAW stars over to Smackdown in hopes of balancing the two brands. Most believe that WWE is heavily favoring RAW when it comes to their star power. Smackdown ratings have gone down drastically since the draft lottery. Credit: Torch Newsletter

    Randy Orton Earning Respect Backstage

Just to add something to the Droz thing. If I remember right Droz can't move from the neckdown and I guess O'Haire and crew didn't feel right trying to shake his hand or didn't know how to greet him.

    Favorite tag matches

For me it would have to be The Steiner Bros vs Sting/Luger at the Superbrawl I. As a kid was really looking forward to that match cause it had four of my favorite wrestlers and me and my sister ordered it and all I have to say is that it doesn't get much better then that match.
  9. Star Trek Prequel Movie In The Works? The series that will NEVER die... Despite the fact that Star Trek: Nemesis was a failure at the box office and the cast has more or less split, franchise producer Rick Berman is working on another movie. "I am involved in the very early stages of what could be the next Star Trek movie. It's something I will be producing with two other producers." The movie would apparently be a prequel to the entire Star Trek series. Credit: TrekToday.com

    Some WWE news items.

Reason Why WWE Pulled Goldberg's Jackhammer Another thing that didn't go right.... Goldberg recently spoke negatively about WWE for making him stop using his Jackhammer move at the end of his WWE stint. The reason that WWE made him stop using it was because many wrestlers complained that he was wreckless with the move. Credit: Torch Newsletter Details On WWE's New Mordecai Character Will likely be used as a jobber for the Undertaker.... As reported, WWE new Mordecai character will be played by OVW developmental wrestler Kevin Fertig. Many feel Fertig is very green in the ring but makes up for it in poise. Despite that, most feel he will just be used to job to the Undertaker. Credit: Torch Newsletter
  12. 411's WWE Byte This Report: Storm, Cade, Jordan, Nitro The rookie edition, with *exclusive* news on Orlando Jordan! How could you resist? Hosts are Josh Matthews and special guest Rue! Str8 to Droz, who’s kickin in his two cents Segment One: Droz On what it’s like being a rookie in WWE, Droz says it’s definitely an experience. Being on the road takes an unbelievable amount of time, and there is a lot of pressure as well. Although he hasn’t yet seen Johnny Nitro wrestle, he is impressed with the current batch of WWE rookies, especially Garrison Cade. Droz remembers when he came in to the WWF to wrestle with the Legion of Doom, in his first match he managed to break one of the Harris Brothers’ nose. Billy Gunn helpfully informed him that he would need to wear an asbestos suit to protect him from the heat. Droz thinks it is tough being a rookie, but as long as you can take the ribbing, it’s definitely a good learning experience. Josh points out that although Rue is still a rookie; both he and Droz are seasoned veterans. Rue is having a great time, and believes she will always be a rookie, as she will always be in the learning process. And although the travel is hard, Droz doesn’t think Rue needs the beauty sleep. Droz leaves, but we are joined by… Segment Two: Lance Storm! Storm wonders why if this is a youngsters’ show that they are talking to him. On his recent retirement announcement, Lance says the issue has been in his head for a while, as he hasn’t been so happy with his recent progression in WWE and has also had some nagging back problems. He wanted to be able to contribute to a different role, and so is commuting to the OVW training facility in Louisville in order to train the WWE hopefuls down there. His schedule will not be as heavy as the current WWE touring, as he will go down on the Monday morning for about 12-13 days and go home the following weekend. With his schedule he should be able to contribute to both his website and his book club more. Storm found his final match in Calgary quite emotional, and thanks the crowd for being wonderful. Storm is fully able to train the wrestlers, and points out that he could keep wrestling if he had to. Although taking backs on his bumps four nights a week would not be so beneficial to his health, and as a trainer he could avoid this. He is excited about the next step in his career and recognises that he is good for the job, being one of the more technically sound wrestlers in the company. Steven on the phone asks about the reactions from Storm’s co-workers, especially Chris Jericho. He, as well as all the boys were very supportive as they knew it was what he wants to do. Storm’s thoughts on the Unamericans angle, and whether crossed the line? He thought they were close to the line, but that one week after the crowd derided them for attempting to burn the American flag, they were chanting ‘What?’ during the American national anthem. Storm enjoyed working with Dawn Marie, and pitched a number of ideas to try and reform them in WWE, but to no avail. He mentions that the original ECW paring of him and Dawn was only meant to be a one night thing, but that both he and Paul Heyman saw the chemistry that was there and decided to keep it going. Storm’s advice to the younger stars is to keep their mouths shut, their ears open, and then they could learn a lot. He heard Josh’s claim to be a veteran and keeps the cheeky youngster in check by pointing out that he has been wrestling for 14 years, while Josh is only 24 years old! Guess what, Orlando Jordan is scheduled! Segment Three: Johnny Nitro Although he hasn’t had any matches yet, it’s nice being in charge of things as Bischoff’s understudy. He has the power to make matches, and believes Mr Bischoff is the man, now Stone Cold’s gone. On his fellow Tough Enough winner Matt Capatelli, Nitro believes he is ready for WWE but thinks he will probably end up on Smackdown. John from Dallas wants to know if Nitro will be wrestling any time soon. He doesn’t know what’s in store at the moment, but hopes to. Although just being part of the product is fantastic. On all the name changes he went through, Blaze was his favourite, as he could think of a lot of fire references involving fire extinguishers and stuff. Unfortunately it was already trademarked by a clothes company, and he switched to Johnny Spade, which was a play on the name Johnny Ace. Fortunately he changed to Johnny Nitro soon after, after Bischoff’s old show. Nitro thought it was difficult going through Tough Enough, partly because everything was on camera. On his use of the Shooting Star Press, he reveals he used to break-dance and do a standing SSP, which was easy to translate to the wrestling ring. Becca asks if he was confident he would win Tough Enough. Although he knew he deserved to win, he was still shocked when he heard the result. There was no cockiness on his face when the result was announced. He doesn’t believe he gets any crap from the guys for not ‘paying his dues’. He thinks people pay their dues along the way as well, and that all of the guys would have taken the opportunity had they been in his situation. Johnny Nitro leaves. The forum monsters report that Josh was looking down Rue’s shirt. Good call guys! Segment Four: Garrison Cade It hasn’t been so hard for Cade as a rookie on RAW as he has been in the company, wrestling dark matches for 4 years and has built up a good relationship with the superstars. On the Coach situation, he’s known him for about a year, and about 2 months ago he mentioned something and it happened. He looks up to his trainer Shawn Michaels and would one day love to see a trainer vs. trainee match. He believes he got lucky being trained by HBK, and gave him a great start in the business. Cade was in every developmental territory save Puerto Rico, but OVW was the best. He thought it would be a better experience learning through dark matches, but OVW turned out really well. Eliza asked if Cade was inspired to do the elbow drop after Macho Man, to which Cade replies that he preferred the HBK version, a sit looked more athletic. A little known fact is that HBK could drop both the right and the left elbow. Jindrak moving to Smackdown caught them both off guard, but said they were both privately relieved as they are both singles wrestlers. He wanted to be a wrestler at the age of 6, but really thought it was a possibility when he got to high school. When HBK opened up a wrestling school, Cade knew what he had to do. Cade leaves, but joined by Segment Five: Orlando Jordan The O to the J is livin’ it up in Miami, and sounds like that drugged up James Brown video on ebaumsworld. WWE’s competitive and hard work, but he loves a challenge. On his inspirations, Orlando gives his mad propz to Flair, the Rock, Steamboat and Hogan. Jordan’s debut was at MSG. It was both a shocker and a reality check, and was just glad Taker helped him out. On his background, Orlando did amateur boxing as a kid, and then moved to amateur wrestling in Virginia. He also practiced Jujitsu. On whether he would pose for Playgirl, Jordan revealed it was one of his goals to get his wang out for the magazine and would love to do it. He thinks he has what it takes. Rue agrees and said she would buy the whole load of issues. Eric from California asks how it was to be trained by Rocky Johnson. Jordan said he feels like family, and is honoured to have been taken in. It’s hard to keep up the training and the eating regimens when you are on the road. Although he is lucky that he can get away with eating some of the stuff that he is not supposed to. Phoner George points out Orlando bears a resemblance to Samuel L Jackson, with no further questions, leading Josh to believe George will be buying the last few copies of Orlando’s Playboy issue. Jordan’s tattoo on his stomach means ‘wild cat’ and has deep significance to him. Jordan leaves after promising we’ll definitely see more of him over the next few weeks. Well, as long as it’s not his member, I think we’ll all be okay. Rue is kind of single, likes Josh, but not in that way, and Josh is in love with her. Next week is a legends show, with Bobby Heenan, Harley Race, and my absolute favourite person to recap – Howard Finkle! End of Show.

Tyson Tomko Not Liked Backstage And this guy just got there.... The new bald wrestler with Christian named Tyson Tomko is not liked backstage. Saved By The Bell Questions That You Asked

And here's a question to build on that. What characters did you think did have sex? I think Zack and Kelly had sex a few times. And I'm sure Zack had sex with at least a few of his other girlfriends. I think Kelly had sex with Jeff once or twice. Slater I think has had sex to but, not with Jesse, she seemed like the type that would wait for marriage. Lisa I think has had sex once or twice. And, of course, Screech was/is a virgin and I doubt him and Violet did the deed. I bet they wanted to wait.
  16. Kurt Angle & Dawn Marie Interview Highlights Posted By Ashish on 04.30.04 More from TSN..... Credit: Adam Lebow TSN today posted the One-on-One interview that Michael Landsberg did with Kurt Angle. It really was one of the better OTR interviews they have done, and it was better than the last one they had with Kurt. While Kurt was on the set, TSN.ca/Wrestling did an interview with Kurt as well. Kurt went and talked more in-depth about his neck. Kurt basically says he can't feel his pinky figure right now. Angle also says wrestling a guy like Brock didn't help and his style in the 4 years he has been in the company as a top heel hasn't helped. However, he is happy that he did what he did. He says the fans really love Kurt, which is why he has the "You Suck" chants. He compares himself to Austin and says that the fans love Austin because he is the underdog that never accomplished a lot and hated his boss where in his life he had gone and actually did something with his life. In regards to his match with Guerrero at Mania XX, Kurt says it was really hard to have the match because he didn't want to hurt his neck more than it was, but it still was a 5 Star Match. He feels the finish of the match is what brought the fans back to the show after the Lesnar vs. Goldberg . He says the reason the fans hated the match because they felt betrayed that two of the top talents were leaving the company and Angle believes Austin should have said he was the third Man in the match, stun them both and cover them, as the fans would have enjoyed that more. However, the big news came when Kurt Angle CHALLENGED BRET HART for an upcoming WrestleMania Match, as that is his dream match. He says Bret is the very best ever and he has the most respect for him. Kurt wants to be considered among Bret as one of the best ever and the way to do that is to wrestle Bret. Kurt feels that would be the match that goes down as the best ever. Kurt says if Bret ever wants to come back for one match and can get his health and status back to a decent level, Kurt wants the match. WWE Diva Dawn Marie also did an interview with TSN.ca/Wrestling as she was in the Green Room at the OTR set. They begin with her transition from ECW to WWE. Dawn says she loved her ECW Character but she likes her new WWE Character as well as she has been able to show a new side as a character, performer and as a wrestler. Dawn says she likes the in ring competition and never realized how hard it was until she got in there. She always respected it but now she says she respects it 1000 times more because it is extremely challenging. She says she is upset she didn’t start in the ring from day one because she thinks she could have been better in ECW. She expects to be back on to TV soon now that she has been practicing in the ring and she would enjoy coming back on screen with Heyman but it doesn't matter to her who she works with because as a manager, her job is to show the strength of the talent. To make their weakness less noticeable. Dawn said that Paul's influence behind the scene is really helpful for the talent as you can go to him with any problem, such as a promo, and he will come up with something instantly. Dawn wasn't very happy at first about having to go over to Iraq to see the US Troops, and she felt guilty about it. However now she realizes what an amazing thing it was and how much good she did there, as it was the greatest experience of her life. She feels she is now a better person from going over to Iraq and being with the troops. Finally, Dawn talks about Lance Storm's retirement and she basically says she loves Lance Storm. It would take an hour worth of tape for her to talk about Storm. She says Lance is a wonderful person and friend, great work ethic and a good father and husband. She honestly believes that if she weren’t paired up with Storm in ECW, she wouldn't be in WWE. Storm took Marie by the hand, never talked down and always gave her confidence and advice. She credits her entire career basically to Storm and everything he has done for her. Click on the link under Related Info for all 3 of the videos at www.tsn.ca/wrestling/news_story.asp?ID=82109&hubName=wrestling. It also contains recaps on some of the interviews.

Sting n Luger to WWE Rico Haas Eddy

I don't know if this is what you're talking about but, around '99-'00 Sting became a born again Christian and he told his wife about all the wild things him and Luger had done on the road. Sting's wife then told Luger's wife which led to Luger and his wife getting a divorce.

    War Games

And don't forget it also had the Renegade posing as the Warrior coming in the cage and get slapjacked by Stevie Ray before disappearing in a cloud of smoke and the real Warrior coming out. And, to top it off, Warrior INJURED himself when he jumped out of the cage to chase after Hogan.

Sting n Luger to WWE Rico Haas Eddy

I'm a huge Sting fan so I do want to see in the WWE. But, you just know that Vince would just love that get his hands on him and book him like shit and have him say things like how he always wanted to go to the WWE and how he hated WCW since Sting IS WCW.

Thank you. I love the Hurricane gimmick and I rather he not got back to he whole boy band thing. Or the cocky heel thing, which we have enough of in the fed.
