The Hollywood trade paper said the six actors have not shown up for two script readings in the past few weeks, holding up production on the hit satire's upcoming 16th season. It quoted insiders as saying each cast member is asking for about $360,000 an episode, or $8 million for a 22-episode season. Each member currently earns $125,000 an episode. The highest-paid star in TV is Ray Romano (news), who reportedly earns between $1.7 million and $2 million per episode of his Emmy-winning series "Everybody Loves Raymond." The three-year contracts for Dan Castellaneta (Homer), Hank Azaria (news) (Moe, Apu, Comic Book Guy), Harry Shearer (news) (Mr. Burns and others), Yeardley Smith (news) (Lisa), Julie Kavner (news) (Marge) and Nancy Cartwright (Bart) expired several months ago, and their representatives have been negotiating new ones to no avail, Daily Variety said. The last "Simpsons" work dispute was in 1998, at a time when the actors were making $30,000 per episode. The show's producer, Twentieth Century Fox TV, hired casting directors in five cities to replace most of them before both sides worked out a new deal and resumed production. "The Simpsons" airs in the United States on the Fox network. Both Fox and Twentieth Century Fox TV are owned by News Corp. Ltd .

Here's an idea. During a match Booker T gets hit upside the head with a chair and get knocked out and it effects his memory. When he wakes up Booker thinks that he's really R. Kelly. Then in the following weeks we'd have Booker singing R. Kelly songs before wrestling. And also every week we'd see Booker macking on 13 year old girls and see tapes of Booker pissing on them.

That wouldn't work over here... the guy would just yell "TRIPLE H" and the opponent would lay down. In light of some recent events...the name "Triple H" can be substituted with "Kevin Nash" for cross-referencing. I doubt that wrestler would want to yell out Kevin Nash and then wrestle like him. Cause the second he yells out his name he's going to fuck his leg up and roll around in pain.

In a thinly veiled criticism of Kerry, White House press secretary Scott McClellan said, “Some have advocated higher gas taxes. ... The president remains firmly opposed to increasing gas taxes.” The Bush campaign has accused Kerry of proposing a 50-cent a gallon gas tax increase. Kerry was quoted once as mentioning the idea but has since repudiated it. Kerry said Tuesday that as president he would stop pumping oil into the nation’s emergency stockpile until prices fell and would pursue new energy policies because “no young American in uniform ought to ever be held hostage to America’s dependence on oil from the Middle East.” As Bush’s campaign unveiled a television ad that criticized the Massachusetts senator’s record on gas taxes, Kerry responded by portraying the White House as tied to the oil industry. “Instead of revealing a new set of attack ads, I think Dick Cheney ought to reveal who the oil executives are that he met in secret with to set the oil policy of the United States,” Kerry said during a rally at the University of California, San Diego. Kerry said he would pressure the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries to provide more oil, simplify rules on gas to reduce costs, and develop more energy-efficient vehicles. “We deserve an administration that doesn’t fake it to the American people and pretend that somehow by drilling in the Alaska Wildlife Refuge we can deal with the problems of America,” he said. “We can’t provide the supply of oil America needs from the Alaska Wildlife Refuge or from any other source in the United States because we only have 3 percent of the world’s oil reserves.” Kerry called on Bush to halt filling the Strategic Petroleum Reserves, which some Democrats contend drives up the cost of fuel for U.S. consumers in an already tight market with record prices. Gasoline prices reached a national average of $1.80 a gallon in the past two weeks, according to the private Lundberg Survey. White House spokesman Scott McClellan said Tuesday the administration opposed using supplies from the reserve because independent analysts have concluded the impact on prices would be minor and that it is important to have necessary resources in case of a severe disruption in supplies. McClellan blamed high prices on the failure of Congress to approve Bush’s energy proposals in 2001. At the time, Republicans from Bush’s party controlled the House and Democrats held a slim majority in the Senate. McClellan said the administration has been in regular contact with major oil producing countries to stress the importance of letting the market determine the prices of oil. “What we need are comprehensive solutions, not patchwork crisis management,” the spokesman said. “We wouldn’t be in this situation right now if Congress had acted on what the president had proposed three years ago,” he said. When Bush took office, Republicans controlled both the House and Senate. By midyear, the Democrats had a narrow majority in the Senate, but the GOP was in charge in the House. McClellan said the administration was “doing everything we can to address the issues that might contribute to rising gas prices.” The administration has said it is looking for price gouging and other improper price manipulation.

WWE Has Big Plans For Bradshaw Hoss not upset about loss of Faarooq... Most, including tag team parter Bradshaw, were not too sad to see Ron Simmons get fired from WWE. The general feeling was that his firing was overdue. Bradshaw wasn't upset about the decision to fire Faarooq since WWE is gearing up to give him a huge singles push. Credit: Torch Newsletter

Actually he was RUNNING to bounce off the ropes or hit someone in the corner, but just collapsed. Well remember after Nash knocked Booker he ran to the ropes and tripped over Booker and then grabbed his knee in pain and that when everyone else in the match just improved the finish. And we should be thanked it happen seeing how reports were Nash would pin Booker to win the match and then get a huge push to the Rumble and the belt.

I'm guessing that the sharks will be like the Chevy Chase ones from SNL seeing as how we live far away from any oceans.

I liked the Cable Guy to. It was both funny and down right creepy at the same time. I think the reason it was hated so much was because at the time Carrey was doing all those WACKY~! comedy movies so, of course, Carrey fans were going in think Cable Guy was another WACKY movie and instead got something very different. I bet if the movie had came out now with the stuff that Carrey has it would get a better reaction.

Another problem I think was that the NWO didn't really affect anyone in the fed outside of Rock, Austin, and Flair. I mean remember how when the NWO first came out there was that when are they going to strike factor. They could attack anyone from Rey to Lugar to Larry Z, anyone. All the NWO did in WWF was mess with Flair, Rock and Austin and that's it. No one else in the fed really.

Exactly if there wasn't a split do you really think guys like Eddie and Benoit would have world belts or Cena would become as big as he has. And I know I'm not that only one but, when they said that HHH would go to SD! I had a feeling Eddie wouldn't have to belt from much longer and would then to shot down the card.

Yeah and as far as the wrestling in the RTC he pretty much had to carry to whole group on his back with alittle help from Ivory. He was pretty much the only good wrestler in that group (men wise). I mean you Bull and Godfather and Stevie was in this phase were he'd fuck himself up brushing his teeth. So, pretty much it was all up to Val when it came to wrestling.

Ok here's the thing about Austin stunning Stacy and the reason many people were up in arms about it. Hell I started threads about them right after they happened. You have Austin, who has been all over the news for hitting his wife, give a Stacy a Stunner because she wouldn't drink beer. Then you have JR, who will damn a wrestler to hell if he even looks at a woman wrong, pretty much excuses Austin actions because "he's Stone Cold and that's the way he is". Then the following week on RAW Austin tells Stacy why he gave her the stunner and said that next time he gives her a beer she better drink. Then Stacy gets a beer and drinks it and all is happy in the world and JR is blowing his load all over his hero. Yeah I know it was a storyline but, to have some like Austin who had all that trouble that's been reported all over the media it was really dumb to have him do something like that while JR excuses his actions.

I think that would rock. Give them a silly super team name, have Rosie be their backup and set them lose on the tag divison.

So I guess Vince is going to try and sign Simmons to appear at a PPV soon.
