When Mr. Perfect beat Flair in a loser leaves the WWF match on RAW back in '93 Flair was gone for a good 8 years. I thought it would have been funny when Mr. Perfect came back a few years ago that he would bring it up to Flair that he shouldn't be allowed in the fed.

In other words Bischoff is making an excuse as to why he fucked up the easiest and biggest payoff to one of the company's biggest angles. A payoff the would have really given a crushing blow to the WWF.

He was 63 years old. Cockrum, a fixture of the American Comics scene in the ‘70s was born in Oregon to a father who was a lieutenant colonel in the US Air Force. As a result, Cockrum traveled frequently as a child, which allowed comic books to provide some semblance of stability from city to city. Following his father into the military, Cockrum served in the Navy for six years following high school, and then entered comics and publishing, first at Warren Publishing, and then as an assistant inker to Murphy Anderson at DC Comics. It was during this period that Cockrum’s art became known with the Legion of Super-Heroes, helping them to move from their Silver Age roots into a more modern look. While his Legion work is widely known to Legion fans, Cockrum will forever be known as the artist who, with Len Wein, and later with Chris Claremont, created the new X-Men, and redefined both the existing characters and revitalized the world of the mutants and the franchise for Marvel. Cockrum had two major stints as artist on Uncanny X-Men, from Giant-Size X-Men #1 in 1975 through 1977, and then from 1981-1983. Though he had worked less and less in comics in recent years, Cockrum had never left the hearts of his fans, as they rallied around him when it was announced in 2004 that he was seriously ill due to complications from diabetes and pneumonia. A benefit book and action was held, while Marvel Comics announced that it would pay Cockrum retroactively for his work in design and co-creation of the new X-Men. According to Clifford Meth, a family friend of Dave and his wife, Patty, there is no information about a funeral service at this time. (AP) -- The days of pile drivers at the Mid-South Coliseum are likely over. The venue where professional wrestler Jerry "The King" Lawler in 1982 slammed comedian Andy Kaufman onto a mat and into the hospital is shutting down for all but graduations and other community events. Cindy Buchanan, director of City Park Services, said the arena will go into "minimal maintenance mode" starting in January. Officials project that the coliseum will lose $400,000 in the current budget year. Coliseum director Steve Fox said the decision to essentially shut down the 42-year-old building was "probably, in my opinion, the best move they could make to stop the bleeding." Kaufman, who died in 1984, and Lawler engaged in a high-profile feud in what was later revealed to be an elaborate act. In the Memphis match, Kaufman managed to stay away from Lawler for five minutes before the wrestler dragged the comedian by his hair to the center of the ring, picked him up and slammed him down head first. That move, called a pile driver, was repeated a second time, and Kaufman lay motionless on his back for 15 minutes before being sent to the hospital. The Mid-South Coliseum also was the site 40 years ago of two Beatles shows on what ended up being the band's final U.S. tour. Local officials were not thrilled, though, passing a resolution to "advise the Beatles that they are not welcome in the City of Memphis." The Mid-South Coliseum began to become obsolete when the city opened The Pyramid in 1991. That building was the city's primary sports and entertainment venue until 2004, when the FedExForum opened off Beale Street. Why would the Superstars of the WWE make a movie about something retarded like professional wrestling??? It would probably be about something stupid like the "belt". A remake of "Bodyslam" would be perfect cast Fozzy in the role of Kick, Armando Alejandro Estrada & Umaga as the heels, HBK as Harry Smileac, Edge as Rip, The Rock as Tonga Kid, Ric Flair as himself, Bruno as himself, Iron Sheik as himself, Vince as himself, Stephanie as herself. And just for fun they should have Dirk Benedict & Tanya Roberts in it to. Hell it's not like they're doing anything now.

Victims' families lash out at Simpson LOS ANGELES - Relatives of the victims in the Simpson slayings case are lashing out at the planned publication of a book by O.J. Simpson in which he discusses how he would have committed the killings of his ex-wife and her friend "if I did it." "He destroyed my son and took from my family Ron's future and life. And for that I'll hate him always and find him despicable," Fred Goldman said in an interview broadcast Thursday on ABC's "Good Morning America." The book, "If I Did It," is being published by ReganBooks, an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers. It goes on sale Nov. 30. Fox, which like Harper Collins is owned by News Corp., is airing a two-part TV interview of Simpson on Nov. 27 and 29. Denise Brown, sister of Nicole Brown Simpson, accused publisher Judith Regan of "promoting the wrongdoing of criminals" and commercializing abuse. She added: "It's unfortunate that Simpson has decided to awaken a nightmare that we have painfully endured and worked so hard to move beyond." Regan refused to say what Simpson is being paid for the book, which is being offered for $16.47. She said he came to her with the idea.
