Does this bother anyone else? I hate that they take all the stuff that people actually believe, and work that too. Fucking Christ.... It's like the "Boy who cried Wolf." Eventually, someone will really get hurt doing a fake "X-sign" stunt, and bleed to death out there. What I really hate is when they do an injury angle all serious like. You know when JR and King use their "Owen" and tell you that this is real when it's really not. Like the time Chyna "broke" doing her shitty handspring elbow against Ivory at the RR a few years back. One day someone will get really hurt and the fans won't buy it.

Huge Update On Chris Benoit's WWE Future
EdwardKnoxII replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in The WWE Folder
Quick question does anyone think that if/when Benoit loses at WM it will kill his chances of the fans thinking he can win the world title. I mean he's had many chances and loses. And now he loses to Brock, can't get a rematch with him and gets shipped to RAW meaning that Brock and Heyman have won and then if he loses the HHH at WM I think the fans will stop caring about him. And if he ever does win the title later on the fans will be like "Eh". -
Huge Update On Chris Benoit's WWE Future

Either Benoit is jobbing to HHH at the main event at WM or he if does win he won't get to make HHH look bad in any way. -
WWE International Heat Taping Results & RAW Notes Off air results from RAW... Credit: Ryan Rodig, 1wrestling.com The Raw show from Green Bay's Resch Center was a lot more packed than I personally expected it to be. Probably around 8,000 people or so. Crowd was pretty hot throughout except for a few dull moments and matches. The Green Bay Packer's Defensive linemen "KGB" Kabeer Baja Biamiliah and Gilbert Brown were ringside as shown on TV. They were involved in a few bits off camera one being a heated confrontation with Scott Steiner, as Steiner is known for trying to rile people up. The crowd went crazy afterwards and people were chanting "KGB" while doing the RVD finger pointing. They were also introduced into the ring by Stone Cold after the show for what turned out to be a birthday party for WWE's very own Pat Patterson. All the Raw babyfaces came out to the ring and shared some beers. Stone Cold then got Pat to sing "I Did it My Way" and surprisingly he is a very good singer and did it very well to a huge ovation. Lillian and Austin then led the crowd in singing Happy Birthday to WWE's very first Intercontinental Champion. The bit after the show was very entertaining and Austin easily has the biggest pops all night with Goldberg, The Dudleys, RVD and Jericho behind him. The only substantial heel heat went to Mark Henry (mostly just groans after hearing his music) and La Resistance. No HBK or HHH was very odd the week before their big Royal Rumble match, but i really don't see much more they could of done with the two after last week's segment. Now onto the Dark Match/ Heat Spoilers... They announced the matches that were before Raw as Heat matches so I am not sure whether any of these won't be televised. The Dudleys over 2 Jobbers witht he 3-D Steven Richards over Rob Conway with the X-factor facebuster. Val Venis and Lance Storm over Jindrak and Cade when Venis hit the Top-Rope Splash Rosey over Kamikaze Ken with some sort of swinging slam * It was very evident especially in the Heat matches that the superstars were implementing a more slowly paced style of matches that built toward the finish. Crowd had mixed reactions to the style but it mostly depended on who was in the ring. The wrestlers seemed to actually be given the time this week however to tell more of a story in their matches. Overall it was a pretty good show with a lot of wrestling that built up the importance of the Royal Rumble.

Do you think it would have? While I've never seen him wrestle I do know that Pat was the first IC champ and had some good from what I hear. But, do the fans of today know him as that? They know him and Brisco as stooges for Vince that would get embrassed at every turn and then some. I mean the bra and panties match between the two and, of course, Poop Stain Patterson to name a few. So, I doubt the fans see him as anything more then a big joke.

WWE News: Maven, Henry, Test, More Plenty of WWE news items... - As reported, Maven injured his elbow at the 1/16 RAW house show in Des Moines, IA. The injury is serious enough that he has been sent home. It is unknown how long he will be out. - WWE tried something new with Mark Henry at the house shows this weekend. Rather than plan his entire match backstage, they had Chris Jericho (who Henry was working with) call the match in the ring. The general feeling is that the matches came off better this way. - Test was suffering from some type of mouth pain this weekend, but worked the house shows anyway. - WWE management feels that wrestlers are finally starting to slow down and make spots mean more. WWE has been pushing for wrestlers to use this "new style" for months now. Management has also told wrestlers to listen to the refs more during matches. Credit: 1wrestling.com

TNA Going Forward On PPV Plans Without Hogan
EdwardKnoxII replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in TNA Wrestling
From The Observer: TNA continues to have talks with Kevin Nash about bringing Nash, as well as Scott Hall, in to work as a tag team. The plan right now if they do sign is to turn Jeff Jarrett face and have a program with Hall & Nash against Jarrett & Sting. Nash is asking for $7,500 a week to appear. Back when Hall was working TNA shows during the promotion's first months, he was getting $7,500. Since then, TNA has drastically cut back on their salaries. -
Speaking of homegrown talent is anyone else shocked at how much Vince loves Ernest Miller. I mean think about Miller got a big push in WCW cause he was best friends with Eric and he was his sons karate teacher and he was fairly high profile. You would think that would be enough for Vince not to sign him or at least job him out but, yet Vince loves him and gives him mic time. Out of ALL the things from WCW that Vince could loved he had to fall in love with Miller's act.

Henry signed an 8-year contract in 1996. That means he'll be fired soon, right? RIGHT? It was a 10 year contract. I already said that.....trying to steal my thunder eh? *attacks* And I said it before you did copycat. *Gives you a Kayon Cutter* BANG!!
-
Really what in the hell was Vince thinking when he signed Henry to a big contract. Was he really scared that WCW might sign him away and make him a big star? And I think Vince signed after his bad showing at the games. I can understand why Vince signed Big Show to a big contract because Big Show was a big star in WCW at the time and he as one of the first major WCW stars to jump to WWF in years. But, I just don't get Henry at all.
-
It was a 10 year contract which means we got 2 more years left.

Latest On Elektra Movie Marvel's Kevin Paige discusses new film... Marvel's Kevin Paige recently said the following about the Elektra movie starring Jennifer Garner: "We've had a number of great writers come in and work on it and we're talking to directors. She doesn't have the sort of spectacular, over-the-top, costumed, made-up mutated villains, she has what we believe to be very scary, very sleek, very organized and very deadly adversaries." "The tone of the film will be fun and adventurous, but the villains always fit their heroes. And Elektra doesn't wear a mask or hide her face. It will be unique villans that I think people will recognize and be very excited to see." Paige also added that Elektra's costume will likely be a bit different from what was used in Daredevil. I'm guessing Kanyon and Ivory will be trainers. Afterall Ivory was a trainer on TE and I know Kanyon did some training in WCW I think he even trained Jay Leno for his match. But, I have a feeling that if Kanyon is being sent down there to work it's to know how to wrestle WWE style.

Cruiserweight Battle Royal Likely For WMXX No high profile singles match for the cruiserweight division... The current plan regarding the cruiserweight wrestlers and WrestleMania XX is to throw them all into some type of gimmick battle royal. It is unlikely that WWE will give two cruiserweights a singles match on the PPV. Credit: Pro Wrestling Torch Newsletter ___________________________________________________ McMahon Urging Tazz To Be More Of A Heel Boss shaking up announce scene... Vince McMahon has been urging Tazz to be more of a heel announcer recently. McMahon feels that Tazz and Michael Cole are agreeing too much on things which takes away the edge of their announcing. McMahon thought the same thing about Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler which is why he threw Jonathan Coachman into the mix. Credit: Pro Wrestling Torch Newsletter

I think Vader should have played the Kingpin. That would have been fun. "Daredevil I want to fight you in my White Castle Of Fear. Do you have the guts to face me cause it's Kingpin time."

Angle Cleared To Return; Maven Injured
EdwardKnoxII replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in The WWE Folder
Hell people like my dad, sister and brother-in-law who don't watch wrestling that much thought that Chavo and Eddie were brothers and thought Chavo was the older one cause of his hair. -

I remember a few times on SD they said they were 3 years apart and they both trained and learned together when they were starting out. -

Yeah no kidding my brother in law was watching SD with me and he thought Chavo Sr. was Eddie's dad. I think they were like 10 kids in the family and Chavo Sr. was the oldest and Eddie was the youngest. I think that's how it was anyways. -
