Well for Christmas I got a Gamecube with the Zelda disc and my sister got me Viewtiful Joe. And may I say what a kick ass game. The VFX powers are the coolest, the effects are great and it's just an all around cool games. Right now I'm on ep 4 with the tanks. The game is kinda hard but, it's not to hard but, then I'm playing on the kids mode right now. So what does everyone else think of the game?

This is different from the gift one. So, overall how was your Christmas? Was it the best? The worst? etc For me it was a good Christmas. I was with my family, had good dinner, good fun. So it was a good Christmas for me. How about you?

http://tv.zap2it.com/tveditorial/tve_main/...1|,00.html Alf Gets a Talk Show LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Alf is returning from the TV hinterlands of cheap-phone-service commercials. Nickelodeon is developing a talk show that the alien puppet and star of a 1980s NBC sitcom would host. "Alf's Hit Talk Show" is one of several series in development for its Nick at Nite programming block. Alf -- real name Gordon Shumway, voice by Paul Fusco -- was a regular in NBC's prime-time lineup from 1986-90. More recently, he's hawked cheap long-distance service from 10-10-220 and collect calls from 1-800-COLLECT. Nick's sister station, TV Land, will once again stage the TV Land Awards, honoring shows and performers from the medium's past and designating one current series a "future classic." Other Nick and Nite and TV Land series in development for next year include: "Zen & Buster": An animated series about Hollywood, seen through the eyes of the dogs of the rich and famous. Kelsey Grammer provides one of the voices, and his company, Grammnet, is producing. "Take 2": A family comedy from creator Dan Schneider ("The Amanda Show," "What I Like About You") about an actor-turned-psychologist who's unable to escape his former persona. A new version of "Kids Say the Darndest Things." "Return Engagement": Actor-director Peter Bonerz ("The Bob Newhart Show," "Friends") created this comedy about retired actors who inherit an L.A. apartment building with similarities to "Melrose Place." "TV Land Moguls": Merv Griffin hosts this set of TV Land specials, scheduled for April, that features profiles and interviews with some of the creative minds behind the camera, including Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, Aaron Spelling and David E. Kelley.

http://www.cnn.com/2003/LAW/12/26/toddlers...m.ap/index.html STAMFORD, Connecticut (AP) -- A 2-year-old model and actor who cut his head at a playground is seeking unspecified lost wages and other compensation from the city. Konrad Mader of Greenwich was running toward a treehouse at a playground November 4 when he crashed into a railing, according to a claim filed last week by his mother and reported Friday by The Advocate of Stamford. The blond toddler received several stitches. Deena Mader, the boy's mother, did not specify how much she is seeking on behalf of her son. In a letter to officials, she demanded compensation for medical bills, pain and suffering and a "lost wage amount due to his inability to audition or take modeling or commercial jobs while his head heals." Mader blamed the boy's injury on a green railing, which she said blends in with the landscaping. Mader said the railing should be painted a brighter color. "This accident was preventable had the railings and safety measures been correct at this park, " Mader wrote in her claim. Tom Cassone, the city's director of legal affairs, said his office is investigating the claim. Joe Falzone, a facilities manager in charge of maintaining city parks, said he is not aware of defects in the playground and there are no plans to make changes. The whole thing is so perverse, it's hilarious. Mommy and Daddy are using their little toddler as a model in order to make money, and now they're suing for his lost wages; it really seems that they view raising a child as a money-making experience.

Yeah I remember that JR was always calling him a blue chipper and I remember the night he face Storm and Christian on the same night. Orton was trying to do his finishing move on Christian, I don't know what it was but, it looked to hard for Orton to be to doing and Orton screwed it up BIG time.

I never did like the show. It just seemed like an ego trip for Roseanne and juding by the shit that went on behind the show with Tom makes me think it even more. The only real good thing was John Goodman, he keep it grounded. But, once he left the show so did the show.

Could it happen? WWE is considering turning Matt Hardy face because he seems to always get face reactions in the arena. At this point, the thinking is that they have to do something with him before the window of opportunity for his push is gone. Credit: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

http://www.eonline.com/News/Items/0,1,13162,00.html Bruce Finally #*&!-ing Pardoned by Julie Keller Better late than never, dammit. Nearly 40 years after cuss-happy comic Lenny Bruce was convicted for swearing during a show at a Manhattan night club, New York Governor George Pataki has issued a pardon. In a statement Tuesday, Pataki called the move, the first posthumous pardon in the state's history, "a declaration of New York's commitment to upholding the First Amendment." The late funny man, a pioneer of standup comedy with his raucous routines on such previously taboo subjects as sex and religion, was charged with giving an obscene performance following a November 1964 gig at Café au Go Go in New York. Undercover cops said he swore more than 100 times during his show. Bruce was convicted after a six-month trial and sentenced to four months in jail, effectively ending his career. He then mishandled his appeal, never filing the correct paperwork. When he died of a drug overdose in 1967 at the age of 37, he hadn't yet served any time but the conviction remained on his record, much to the chagrin of fans and First Amendment proponents. His free-speech battle has become legend in the show-biz world, particularly among comedians. Several stars, including Robin Williams, the Smothers Brothers, Phyllis Diller, Margaret Cho and Penn and Teller, joined with Bruce's daughter and a team of lawyers to fight to get the conviction overturned. Bruce "almost single-handedly turned comedy clubs into free-speech zones," Ronald Collins, a legal scholar with the Virigina-based First Amendment Center and a mastermind of the pardon campagn, told the New York Times. "He needed to be vindicated," Collins told the Times. "We're elated. It's very important that now this record has been set straight." Collins cowrote The Trials of Lenny Bruce with David Skover, a law professor at Seattle University. The two men used the Website for their book to launch the campaign to clear Bruce's name. Their book is just the latest project to reevaluate Bruce and his groundbreaking role as both an entertainer and free-speech advocate. Dustin Hoffman scored an Oscar nod for his starring role in the 1974 biopic Lenny, and Lenny Bruce: Swear to Tell the Truth, a 1999 HBO documentary narrated by Robert De Niro, was nominated for a documentary feature Oscar. "In the tradition of Lenny Bruce, it's about f---ing time," said Donna Lieberman, executive director of the New York Civil Liberties Union. "This is an important step toward setting the record straight about Lenny Bruce, about his role not as a criminal but as a visionary in American humor. And we're pleased that the governor has righted this wrong."

Tomorrow I might buy either Doube Dash or NFS: Underground. I've owned and played the other Mario Carts and I've played alittle of NFS and I think it's good even if it looks like a riceboy's wet dream. So any thought on which one I should get?
-
I'm getting Viewitful Joe for X-Mas and I plan on buying NFS: Underground and Mario Double Dash.

Do you know what it's called?
-
Just checking to make sure since I'm going to get one tomorrow. What would be the best memory card for the Gamecube? I want to get a good one.

http://www.cnn.com/2003/US/West/12/22/ca.e...uake/index.html Earthquake hits central California Tens of thousands lose power (CNN) -- A strong earthquake that could be felt from Los Angeles to San Francisco hit the central California coast Monday, but witnesses and authorities had few immediate reports of damage. The quake registered a preliminary magnitude of 6.5 when it hit about 11:15 a.m. (2:15 p.m. ET), the U.S. Geological Survey said. Its epicenter was about six miles northeast of the town of San Simeon, about 240 miles north of Los Angeles and 200 miles south of San Francisco. More than 30 aftershocks were reported in the hour after the quake, with the strongest measuring about 4.7. More aftershocks are expected during the next several days, USGS spokesman Bob Stein said. Stein said some aftershocks could be larger than Monday's main quake, which he called a "garden variety" magnitude 6.5 event. A spokesman for Pacific Gas & Electric, the utility that serves the area, said about 40,000 customers were without power after the quake triggered rockslides that brought down power lines near San Luis Obispo. No damage was reported at PG&E's Diablo Canyon nuclear plant, about 100 miles from the epicenter, Stein said. Officials at nearby hospitals said no patients had arrived with injuries. "We certainly felt it in a big way," said Nicki Edwards, the chief nursing officer of Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo. She estimated the rolling lasted about 30 seconds, but other than "some very minor breakage" of a few light fixtures, nothing was damaged and no patients were injured. In Paso Robles, about 30 miles from San Simeon, the downtown building housing the city's landmark clock tower collapsed, said Madelyn Stemper, an accountant at a nearby firm. The clock tower adorned a building across from a municipal park, and "a lot of the buildings across from the park in both directions are pretty well demolished," she said. "It was really jerky," she said. "Other ones that I have been in had that roll to them, but this was just like a 'Bam.' It was real shaky. It got your attention really quick." The collapse of the brick-and-wood building inflicted no injuries, said Detective Rick Ince of the town's police department. Much of the damage around town was "more cosmetic than structural," he said. Templeton resident Tony Vasquez said he was in the shower when the quake hit. He said he heard "a slight rumble, and then this enormous jolt knocked me down and actually sheared off the shower head." "I never thought I'd have to wear a seat belt in the shower, " Vasquez said. Mary Carson, executive director of the Chamber of Commerce in nearby Cambria, said the rolling lasted for what seemed like a minute. "At first, it felt like a big truck was going by," she said. "Then it kind of rolled." Park rangers in San Simeon ordered evacuation of the Hearst Castle, the palatial home built by newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst, a worker at the attraction's gift shop said. The castle is now a state historic site. A spokeswoman for the Cambria Fire Department said firefighters had received an unconfirmed call about a structure that was on fire. "Right now, nothing severe has been reported," said Greg Haas, an aide to U.S. Rep. Lois Capps, the area's congresswoman. "But it's pretty early, and communication is limited." The quake was felt as a sustained rolling motion in Los Angeles and San Francisco, CNN crews in both cities reported. The earthquake was considered a strong one, said Brian Lassiege, a USGS geophysicist. It was relatively shallow, striking about 4.7 miles below the Earth's surface, he said. Lassiege said shallower earthquakes tend to inflict more damage. Carson said her building swayed as the quake hit. "Things did fall off the shelves, a couple of windows broke and some ceilings came apart," she said. "But, as far as I can tell, I haven't heard of any injuries or severe damage."

Goldberg lands another movie gig... WWE's Goldberg is set to star in the comedy/horror film, Santa's Slay. Brett Ratner's Rat Entertainment will be producing the film. The film is a "tongue in cheek comedy, which casts everybody’s favorite holiday figure in a different and sinister light. Our hero, Nicholas, learns the terrifying truth about ol’ St. Nick from his eccentric grandfather." Credit: FilmJerk.com
