  1. Big Show is looked at by his fellow wrestlers as very lazy. In 1999 he got liposuction prior to coming to the WWF because he was too lazy to lose the weight the hard way. He gained all that back due to his poor diet and non-existant workout skills. Meltzer and Keller have reported for years that Show would eat fast food all day everyday, smoke 2 packs of cigs a day, and not work on his cardio at all. This has been the case since 97, before the injuries. Show has been sent down to OVW by Vince personally to lose weight, and he just came back heavier, and WWE didn't want him fatter, because they saw more value in him as a agile giant not the sloth he has become.

Exactly it was the weight gain then came the pain in his knees, back, etc if it was the other way around it be a different story. That's way I think in a year's time Show's going to end up weighting in at least 600lbs or more unless he does something.

  2. I'm also sad to see Show good. I've liked him even if I wasn't always a fan about how he was booked. Also, notice how they never say anything of his time in WCW. Heh figures.

Vince couldn't let a WCW made star look better than his homegrown names. It's why Vince never makes the Invasion angle work, even when it's so easy to do.

Which is a shame seeing as how much Vince was paying him when he came in.

  3. Seeing how this thread has been dead for awhile I thought I'd post in it.

X-Mas ep: I was laughing to hard when Sean played a drunk Santa and said all those things to the kids and then gets a blowjob from the elf while the Chipmunks play in the background.

I had a feeling something was going to happen to Reefer when he showed up and son of a bitch did he get gutted.

Last night's ep: I swear I thought James had taken the baby and I figured she would be killed in the season finale. Oh well

So for the season it will Wilbur and/or Michelle dying next week. What are your thoughts?

New York City passes trans fat ban

Restaurants must eliminate artery-clogging ingredient by July 2008

    Updated: 55 minutes ago

NEW YORK - The Board of Health voted Tuesday to make New York the nation’s first city to ban artery-clogging artificial trans fats at restaurants — from the corner pizzeria to high-end bakeries.

The board, which passed the ban unanimously, did give restaurants a slight break by relaxing what had been considered a tight deadline for compliance. Restaurants will be barred from using most frying oils containing artificial trans fats by July and will have to eliminate the artificial trans fats from all of their foods by July 2008.

But restaurant industry representatives called the ban burdensome and unnecessary.

“We don’t think that a municipal health agency has any business banning a product the Food and Drug Administration has already approved,” said Dan Fleshler, a spokesman for the National Restaurant Association.

Health Commissioner Thomas Frieden said recently that officials seriously weighed complaints from the restaurant industry, which argued that it was unrealistic to give them six months to replace cooking oils and shortening and 18 months to phase out the ingredients altogether.

The ban contains some exceptions; for instance, it would allow restaurants to serve foods that come in the manufacturer’s original packaging.

    Chains must list calories

Trans fats are believed to be harmful because they contribute to heart disease by raising bad cholesterol and lowering good cholesterol at the same time. Some experts say that makes trans fats worse than saturated fat.

The panel also passed another measure that has made restaurants unhappy: Some that chose to inform customers about calorie content will have to list the information right on the menu. The rule would generally apply to fast-food restaurants and other major chains.

Sheila Weiss, director of nutritional policy for the restaurant association, said the rule would be a disincentive for restaurants to provide any nutritional information.

Trans fats are formed when liquid oils are made into solid fats by adding hydrogen in a process called hydrogenation. A common example of this is partially hydrogenated vegetable oil, which is used for frying and baking and turns up in processed foods like cookies, pizza dough and crackers. Trans fats, which are favored because of their long shelf life, are also found in pre-made blends like pancake and hot chocolate mix.

The FDA estimates the average American eats 4.7 pounds of trans fats each year.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who banned smoking in bars and restaurants during his first term, is somewhat health-obsessed, and even maintains a monthly weight-loss competition with one of his friends in order to stay slim.

  5. I got this from another board, so take this with a grain of salt, but apparently now, WWE wants to go in a direction of having either Cena or Batista turn on the other, and have a match at Wrestlemania 23.

Assuming Cena drops the belt before WM, in order to have HHH/Edge, will Batista drop the title before then too? Or will he not just defend it at WM? Or will he, and Cena wins and goes to Smackdown? Either way, I'd rather have this match than Batista/Taker if the rumor about Taker losing is true.

Unless Taker has done something MAJOR to really piss off Vince I doubt Taker is going to lose at WM. Cause all Taker would have to say is those 4 little words: "I'm not feeling it", and you know the finish is going to get changed.

  6. Am I the only one who actually liked Sting's heel turn? I thought it was awesome!

I liked it but, they did it on the wrong person. The only person Sting could have turned heel on at the time was Goldberg and even then the people might have been 50/50.

  7. I can't be the only Lash LeRoux mark on this board. For some reason, I've always liked the guy.

No you're not the only one. I liked it when him and Disco were friends/partners against The Mamalukes but, to bad that only lasted like 2 months before they break up.

And I kinda liked him in the MIA to and for awhile his catchphrase was pretty over with the crowd. "Laissez les bon temps rouler!" which means Let the good times roll.

  8. Big Show will be needing time off soon, most likely right after the Elimination Chamber match. He already turned down a long-term contract extension, but WWE would like to use him at WrestleMania 23 in April. Show is in poor shape, and Triple H's "Twinkie" reference at Show this past Monday was one of those messages that WWE publicly sends to wrestlers who they are unhappy with. Says one source: "I like Big Show, but his problems are because he's lazy, not anything else. He won't diet, he'll want some magic pill or radical surgery to lose the weight he needs to lose"...

I'm going to go on record say that when Big Show does leave the fed in 6 months to a year later he's going to weigh in at least 600lbs or more the next time we see him on TV. Like Yoko back in the day.

  9. Whoever said Sting's heel turn was terrible is just a hater.

:::Hulk signs autograph for little kids:::

Sting, off-camera, behind Hulk, doing childish voice: "Hey Hulk! Can I have your autograph?"

    :::Hulk turns around:::

POW! Sting cracks him with baseball bat again.

I didn't think it was terrible I loved it and thought it was funny for that fact that WCW and Hogan would think that the fans would boo Sting of all people, who was the 1st or 2nd most loved wrestler in WCW at the time, for attacking Hogan for crying out loud.

Shows you what kind of ego Hogan has.

  10. Didn't Flair just marry her like 7 months ago? And she's getting THAT much?

No Flair's been married to her for years and Beth is his second wife. It's been said that Beth only stayed with Flair for the money and they been sleeping in separate bedrooms for years.

Flair's own wife wasn't riding on space mountain? Shocking!

No but, from what Beth said when her friends were around he would show it to them and offer them a ride on it.

  11. I thought it was Hogan who came to Bischoff and told Bischoff that he didn't feel comfortable dropping the title cleanly to someone who was out of shape and didn't have a tan (stupid I know) and Bischoff agreed and thats why it was changed.

I don't remember Bischoff saying anything about drugs. Also if Hogan really did go up to Bischoff and tell him that, I don't think Bischoff had a choice in the matter because Hogan had creative rights for himself

I thought it was Hogan didn't want to do the job and they couldn't make him cause of his creative rights. So the company gave Hogan things like cars, motorcycles, etc so he would job to Sting. And then Hogan agrees to do it and then he pays off Nick Patrick to not give a fast count and fuck up the whole match.

  12. marc mero lost a loser leaves wwf match in late 98 and has never returned to the wwf/e since and only has a brief TNA stint as Johnny B Badd to his credit in the past 8 years

He also briefly showed up in WCW in 2000 for an ep of Thunder. I remember he got into a fight with someone and they played his old Johnny B Badd music.

  13. Apparently, this guy is in fact now dead.

Eh, I get the same uges when I watch WWE programming these days.

Maybe vince will take it as a sign people will kill themselves instead of watching batista as champ.

Maybe the guys family will sue the WWE saying that their show was the reason he wanted to end his life. And chances are they would win.

  14. So really the only thing differentiating Sting at that time from every other wcw and ecw wrestler during that time period was he didn't have a tan and wasn't in ring shape. He definately wasn't looking like a fatass. So I don't have any idea how Bischoff knew he was out of shape just looking at him.

Right. And when you consider that Sting hadn't wrestle for a year and a half he was in great shape.
