Is Ken Anderson in OVW? I read the most recent TV recap with Jeter winning the OVW title and turning on Captalli; and I think a Ken Anderson was somewhere in there.

Two weeks into the Con-Man gimmick (as far as RAW goes, I heard it debuted on HeAT) and you're doubting him? There pushing him like Masters so far and if Masters can get to wins over Benjamin then certainly Conway can because he's a lot better in-ring. Masters and Conway both have re-used cheap heat gimmicks; but the fact Conway is better in ring will mean more in the long run.

Figured instead of threads popping up now and then to see if anyone else is going to a show sometime this summer, we could just have one general thread. Feel free to post any events you plan on attending, and your seats if you want. When I went to RAW in Toronto in January, I was actually a few rows back from Rudo and Curry; it was impressive to shake these legendary posters' hands. Made the event that more ~EXCITING~... Anyways, it's a summer of Smackdown! for me: Great American Bash- Buffalo NY July 24 Smackdown! Taping- Rochester NY July 26 Smackdown! Taping- Toronto ON August 16 Haven't got tickets for any yet. There's a good chance that I will be going as Doug Basham to GAB and perhaps both Smackdown! tapings with a friend also shaving his head to be Danny. We were going to have the whole cabinet, but that kinda got broken up.

Will you guys be attending Smackdown!? I can't wait to hear the Toronto reactions for what makes up the current brand.

Gahahaha, I remember that too. IIRC correctly it was the first Jakked of the brand extension (of course right here in Rochester, Smackdown! captial) and not only did Godfather turn unexpectedly; but Albert turned on Scotty too. I was yelling constantly during the Albert/Scotty match about the marks around me cheering for Albert for no reason other than being with Scotty; then he turned. I then kept yelling "WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YOUR PRECIOUS ALBERT NOW?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

It wasn't done as well as it could be; but for some reason I mark for the InVasion era. I really didn't like it while it was going on; but what happened to the WWE afterward just set me the wrong way so much that I appreciated the InVasion (after HHH's return in MSG with the 15 minute entrance and nonsensical squashing of Angle, I was ready to stop watching). At a high school musical rehearsal in Febuary or so I had a bad flu/cold and took too many different medications but still tried to go to practice. It resulted in me telling my friend on stage in a middle of a scene that I liked the InVasion; which totally threw him and the whole scene off subsequentially. At least I got to sleep on the floor the rest of practice. Anyways, I'd like to book either Smackdown! or HeAT at any time since the brand split. HeAT desperately needs a wrestler who declares it his show, ala Raven and Steven Richards. I'd have it be Eugene; or Val Venis (HeAT is pretty much his now but he's always doing the job).

Fuck this, Canada better protect Emery.

Well I've been to the Bash and last week's Smackdown! and for some reason still plan on following through with going to Toronto's Smack! taping on the 16th. Anyone plan on going?

Well it has two main events of the four pay per views I've been to live (IYH: Revenge of Taker Vs. Mankind and Fully Loaded 99 Vs. Austin) so it's a definite must buy for me to have those in DVD quality.

Did anyone manage to go see that? I so wanted to make a road trip to Tornonto for it. Was it a musical? I haven't heard Bret sing since Wrestlemania: The Album.

At least Batista is getting new opponents on Smackdown! We've had Cena/Carlito for 2 weeks of RAW and now this.

Still in my markdom age; I never ever even thought about the possibility of HBK and DX being heels. HBK hitting Taker with the chair at Summerslam 97 to start it all just seemed to me like HBK obviously was aiming for Bret; but misfired and dealt with his consequences up front by being a man and counting the 3 to crown the man he hates new WWF champ. Then of course DX forms and they were doing all kinds of funny shit; while the Hart Foundation is pushed as the #1 heels of the Federation(in the USA at least). So of course the marks would beliveve DX are still the faces, right? That's how me and at least 6-7 of my then "casual watching" friends thought that way, so I don't know if it's necessarly true that SuSeries97 was booked as heel vs. heel.

I think Sting/Vampiro is from a Nitro I went to in Rochester. All I remember is lots of blood pouring down from over the ring at the end.

And he's already been WWE champion and beat Cena before. The World Heavyweight title is something he did not hold while he was here last, and Batista someone he hasn't beat. It'd make more sense for him to choose Batista.

How come RAW isn't playing up their history on Smackdown!? The night club stabbing and all.

That's not a bad idea; having the Euguene Invitational for something else other than wrestling. Maybe he plays them in the latest game released for consoles or an advance copy of Day of Reckoning 2. Maybe He brings out Pocket Rocket and Viscera's friend for Duck Duck Goose. Maybe he lets the Diva Search contestants have a shot at the medal. Any of these would be more believable than Eugene squashing a jobber. I know Dinsmores a great worker; but Eugene squash matches don't make sense.

If Lenar were to enter WWE anytime before Royal Rumble; then they are going to need to draw out programs for him before Batista. In that case, he could afford a job to Benoit or Taker as long as he got it back more convincingly before Mania. Rumble is the best idea though; because you won't have two guys squashing the rest of the Smackdown! roster without interacting. Batista being dominant for the rest of the year then Lesnar coming back around Rumble would be much easier to book.

The Rumble as Brock's first return match is a great idea; as that keeps the TV time til the Mania showdown with Batista to a minimum. Have him win the Rumble and then appear on RAW and Smackdown! for a few weeks before he decides. Have him also get both rosters stirred up about his return; pissed he'd walk away and such. Maybe have Trips riding him on RAW and Benoit on Smackdown!, claiming he never finished his business with him. I'd have him decide Batista and the World title obviously, with the logic that he's never held that one and has already beat Cena. I'd have him feud with Benoit for No Way Out resulting in a match that pushed Brock to the limits to set up a ready to go feud for Smackdown! after Brock wins at Mania.

You can see me beind Romero and Matthews after London is announced; I had floor seats 5th row back behind them. We didn't buy tickets until we got to the arena and then bought the cheapest seats. We were RIGHT on the side of the Smackdown tron on camera side; so far right that we couldnt even see the tron. So we just kept walking to the left like 5 sections then some guy offered 2 floor seats because his son couldnt see on the floor. 3 of us went (meeting another kid we knew from town who's kind've a novelty at the ticket buying window, ridiculous timing) and so me and the novelty went to the floor. Because a brother of mine who is 21 couldnt go though I decided I should eat shrooms before Smackdown! I was only on the floor for Velocity. There I am~!

USA used to have RAW in a late replay slot on Thursdays, something like 10-12 I think IIRC; so I wonder if they'd be willing to give at least that to Smackdown! (although 9-11 would be better). I also wonder if we could have a "Saturday Night War" with USA eventually taking Smackdown and throwing it on Saturdays 10-12 to go against UFC and TNA's slots.
