One and Only "ECW: One Night Stand" Thread
claydude14 replied to GreatWhiteNope's topic in The WWE Folder
Here is some information of the ECW One Night Stand DVD, courtesy of Jeremy Hirsch: I got the ECW ONS DVD already, here are some notes. The Dudley's Drop the Bombshell was changed to their WWE Theme they used prior to that. Sandman does not get his Metallica theme, instead some Generic wordless knockoff. The Danny Doring/Roadkill segment was just plain old cut out the show. Didn't even see it on the extras. I think Taz's theme also seemed changed. Watching the big brawl at the end, JBL indeed did nail Meanie with a cheap shot. He was not even Focused on Bradshaw. JBL went straight up behind and after blowing off whoever tried to fight and went after Meanie. And finally yes, They did bleep out the F***k's! Credit:411Mania.com So the fans will be singing along to some generic song? Hopefully it synchs up at least. -
I think the first time Brock/Taker was on PPV it was a DQ finish because Taker "wasn't feeling it." Then came the cell. What was their third match?
-
Sorry, no Velocity or HeAT matches this week. No time with the duel-brand Supershow taping.
-
Yea, Smackdown! used to occasionally get the main event. It's been a pretty long time though.
-
Anyone think Smackdown! might finally main event a duel brand ppv for once?
-
Yea this match is advertised for the Smackdown! taping I'm going to in Rochester too. They better deliver too, after they raped the Smackdown! roster I better see some stars.
-
Alleyoop is a powerbomb position but he throws you backwards, IIRC.
-
This is so sad. The death of Smackdown unless Vince at least let's Heyman take over the brand again, without making it "ECW." I think that might be the closest we'll get. ECW can't be ECW on UPN, so it'll be Smackdown with a bizarre ass roster but with Heyman behind it... in my dream world that is, where I can still pledge allegiance to Smackdown! Really dissapointing draft so far for summer Smackdown! shows. I was looking to go to the Great American Bash in Buffalo, the following Smackdown here in Rochester (will at least attend that since we are supposedly getting HHH/JBL V. Cena/Batista), and the final Smackdown! before Summerslam in Toronto. Now I'm not sure. Pretty dissapointing for people looking to buy tickets for the Smackdown! brand so far, and I was a really big mark for it.
-
Yeah, JBL and BT were supposed to be doing an appearance in Toronto for a SD show, and then they changed it to BT and Christian. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hey, when's this going down?
-
Hahaha, watch Steve Romero be RAW's pick tonight.
-
Danny Bashem to RAW. Doug remains on Smackdown! to feud with the cabinet. I also think we will see some trades in the last week. Like say, if Edge went over he could demand Teddy Long trade someone for his new wife Lita. Or maybe, Bischoff trades Eugene to get rid of him. Something minor that you could even have happen on Velocity or Heat. Actually, they really should have had Velocity and Heat having a draft pick each too. Jindrak to Heat, Hurricane to Velocity. OJ to Heat, Tajiri to Velocity. Just make Velocity all cruserweights and Heat all Hoss.

The Blue and Red respective Smackdown! and RAW polo shirts. Come on, any prep that loves WWE wants one of those. I've talked to several of my friends (all generic RAW brand while I love Smack!... until this draft so far at least) and we'd all love to have a polo of our favorite brand. Best looking honors go to Christian of RAW for the popped collar which fit his character perfectly; and Orlando Jordan from Smackdown! for constantly pointing at the SD logo in the corner of his polo. Worst dressed go to Snitzky from RAW for the un-necessary V-Neck he made and I guess JBL??? from Smack! for not wearing the polo... but honestly only Snitz ruined that awesome look.

There's a story that Kane dissapeared on a RAW, and Triple H was looking for him. Triple H eventually found him, put his arm around him, and said, "Where have you been?" Kane then pulled H's arm off of him, and told him "You know where I have been, I've been trying to drive stick shift and raping Katie Vick while you were burying me behind my back."

Which furthers my respect and admiration for RVD. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wouldn't a company like WWE drug test for THC? Didn't Brian Christopher get released for having it through the Canadien border (I know a little different).
-
Does anyone else think Rock will have another career in wrestling eventually kinda like Hogan? He's still pretty young. HHH-Rock at Wrestlemania could draw... hopefully not for a title, but, you know.
-
Someone get WWE creative on this idea.
-
When you think about it; HHH after quad could still be the same HHH. It's just that when he had his 2000 push; it was right after the 5 minute matches of the Russo era so he probably looked pretty good to be doing the technical thing. Now a days we are pretty spoiled on workrate (workrate as far as WWE style allows that is). But I just came up with this theory; I didn't watch any matches to try and actually see if I'm right.

Undertaker (3-disc), HHH (3-disc), Ladder Matches
claydude14 replied to Downhome's topic in The WWE Folder
In Your House Revenge of Taker vs. Mankind Fully Loaded 1999 - First Blood Match vs. Stone Cold These were the first two ppvs I ever went to, so I'll prolly pick this DVD up at least for the reason of owning them in DVD quality. There's some other stuff that looks good too. -
In what context did he use it? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No idea but it was from when Em was really young and before he was ever big. I think something to do with him having a bad relationship with a black girl or something. He apologized tons of times and called himself out on being young whenever the tape surfaced. I don't really know the full story, that's off of memory.

JBL/HHH shouldn't be able to co-exist. I guess Batista and Cena could although they beefed at the end of the Rumble.
-
I loved Smackdown! Always prooves to be an entertaining show if you make a drinking game of how ridiculous and awesome it is. RAW just doesn't have something Smackdown! does. Maybe it's just because I don't read spoilers anymore. Cole and Tazz... just so great. It's just so 95 for me I guess with the gimmicks.

Yea my brother said these were all over Manhatten.
-
Now the world can know that I am a friend of Heidenreich. Thanks, wwe.com
-
Interresting. My brother was on his Sr. trip to NYC this weekend, I'll have to ask him if he saw these.

Think a Lesnar will be in it?
