Who was the random guy wearing just a towel at the urnial when Booker T walked past looking for Angle? I assumed that was going to be Angle. For now it is a mystery.
-
My favorite part of the night was Booker T's search for Kurt Ankle. The Kidman alone in the bathroom cameo was off the walls; Funaki with two strange men was good too. I almost thought that he was gonna beat The Prince of Punk Shannon Moore's ass when he came into that room. And who was the 4th guy in there with Bob, Haas and Shannon?

I'm a fan of hip hop and I downloaded it and actually have found myself enjoying a majority of the tracks. I prefer Trademarc's flow but Cena actually has some tight verses himself. I think I read somewhere that he bought the production from his own wallet so it wouldn't be generic Jim Johnston WWE beats. So that helped legitimize it, plus he's got Bumpy Knuckles who trained him for like 2 years before they recorded. He didn't like Cena at first but after spending time with him he saw that Cena actually has passion for hip hop. So it's actually pretty legit for a WWE release. What hurts it of course is that it's a WWE release, as Da Maintenance Man said. Most people don't take him seriously and think he's ghost written on some hip hop boards. There was a poll at Allhiphop.com's forums where it was Cena Vs. Eminem; and it was pretty close. That's mainly because a lot of posters over there still hate Em for dropping the N line in that old track or whatever. So yea, I'd say if you like hip hop at all it's worth a download at least. I might pay $10 for it, but I got the leak so I never got around to going into a store for it.

This sucks. I'm never home on Friday nights. And I had gotten used to Thursday as the 2nd wrestling night. And I'm a Smackdown! brand fan. At least I have Media Center (tivo like function).

I don't know maybe I'm just a being a fag but if something didn't parallel me so directly I probably wouldn't care. I know most people have an idea of betrayal, it's just very ironic to find a wrestling "backstage situation" and/or (and in this case) angle to reflect it almost directly. I don't doubt I'm probably bitching too much and I'll generically blame that on the alcohol. But whatever. I guess good for WWE for being able to connect on such a personal level. Good for them for getting me worked up on the internet 3 hours RAW went off the air.

No, in that case I'd probably find it funny. I'm just venting personal distate with the situation. Dude, if you admit its FUNNY if it didnt happen to you, then dont come on here and say how bad it was. Thats just non-sensical, brotha. I dont find it funny that it happened to Matt since it did happen to me as well; but yes if the case never happened to me I admit it'd be funny/no problem because I wouldn't see the situation so personally. I don't assume most people have gone through anything like this; although I'm sure some have because relationships end through cheating all the time. But whatever you know. I'm just saying that due to a personal experience it's wrong to me to be displayed in the manner it was; but even despite that I most likely won't turn off RAW. I'm just trying to make a few understand why it might seem so wrong to some people. But you know, whatever. I'll get over it and Matt Hardy will and in the end this whole angle won't make any money unless Matt comes in too.

Oops back to Toronto for a second; but I've been a visitor in the crowd for both Summerslam and January's RAW and both have been the best crowds I've ever been a part of (compared to Rochester, Buffalo or Syracuse who all get their fare share of TV tapings at least).

Vince took the screwjob and basically turned it into the Attitude era. Do you find that sickening? A man lost his job and was betrayed by a man he trusted, just to make a profit. It was scummy, yes. But it made money. WWE is ultimately a business, and it has a remote chance of making money, WWE will do it. And to a lot of fans, ie not Hardy fangirls/boys and the IWC, this is just a storyline like Jericho/Trish/Christian. I don't see how you can expect Vince McMahon, of all people, to be respectful of this situation. I don't find that sickening because a man lost his job to make 3 million or whatever in WCW. I don't expect the WWE to be respectful either; we all saw this coming pretty much from the beginning of the Gold Rush. Just to finally see it on the air was a bit personally disgusting; only because I was in a situation close to Hardy's. It's like seeing the girl that betrayed myself after 3 years with the man I thought was my friend. This won't make money; but yes I see why they did it. It's just sickening to me personally. It's pro wrestling, calm down. Yes, it's Pro-Wrestling. I realize that. But it's an angle walking the fine line between a real life situation; and a real life situation that is close to one I've experienced. Of course I'd be a little worked up over it but just as I called myself out on earlier; I'll still watch RAW. I guess it's good they are emotionally tying in some fans, but whatever. I still think tonight went a bit further than needed when establishing Lita and Kane together. They were eating each other's faces.

Venis with a Victory. Great. Plus it means Conway>Grenier since I assume they both will be trying to outdo the other again. <3 j00 Conway.

I dunno, even knowing it was coming seeing the actual thing on TV did actually make me kinda sick to the stomach. It's not because I was ever a Hardy Boyz fan or because I hate Edge, it's just that the situation at hand is pretty close to a situation in my personal life early in this year. I mean we all knew it was coming, but to actually see it come off on TV was just fucking wrong. Sorry to those who think "STFU it's just an angle" it's just downright fucked up they'd steal a real life storyline and turn it into this; with Kane now supposed to be playing Matt. Seeing Lita and Edge making out and shit just seemed worse than Katy Vick to me. I was screaming "Fuck RAW" I'm never watching again to my friends in response to the end. I know I'll watch again but it doesn't mean I'm legit. pissed off about what they have done here. It's just fucked up and disrespectful.

Cuz they get paid to do so. wrestling is not real. No shit, that's not what this threads about.
-
So why are all the Smackdown! PPVs the one you UKers have to pay for?
-
Maybe because the No Way Out match was just a re-hash of King of the Ring 98?
-
That was a pretty solid 6 man tag. Pretty much everyone but Holly is a solid worker. He held his own too with his "best dropkick in the business"
-
Why'd he ever get banned anyway? Anyway; yea Angle came on and started talking about sex out of no where. Nice job Smackdown! writing team!

If Austin didn't win the title, he would have to kiss Owen's ass. Oh. Well then.
-
Since when was Austin/Owen "Kiss my Ass"? That was the god awful Billy Gunn-Rock feud two years later.
-
Foley's Hard Knocks and Cheap Pops DVD. It's awesome. I think it may even have been Michael Cole with him.
-
Maybe you were confused because that Unforgiven also had Snow/Bossman's classic Kennel in a Cell match. No one mentioned that yet, but I'm not sure it counts.

This sucks. I was a huge Luther mark; and I'm not suprised to find myself not alone in that regard. Someone on Insidepulse.com had a whole article just about Luther ruling. Better find that so you all realize his awesomeness and potential <starts looking> Ok, enjoy: http://www.insidepulse.com/article.php?contentid=37041

Many are blaming Kevin Fertig (Mordecai) for Jim Cornette's latest outburst, an outburst that was seen as the final straw in what led WWE to give him a 4-6 week leave of absence. Fertig and Daniel Puder teamed up against Kendo Suzuki and El Diablo at the OVW TV taping last Wednesday in a match mainly designed to give Suzuki and Puder some work before a live audience. During the match, Fertig came to the ring with a baseball cap on backwards and basically goofed off during the bout, not taking it seriously. Jim Cornette, who is very old school and traditional, sent word to the ring that he needs to stop his antics. Instead of stopping, Fertig took a fan's sombrero and continued his behavior. Upon his return to the back, Cornette ripped into Fertig with a very colorful promo. The outburst looks to have been the final incident that led to Cornette getting taken off the OVW team for the time being. Fertig has grown very unpopular in some circles. While he is talented, he is said to be taking a lot of shortcuts and very concerned with "popping the boys" rather than improving. Fertig also has a civil case coming up due to beating up a guy at a Louisville bar awhile back. Some feel that Cornette will eventually be fired since John Laurinaitis is interested in getting rid of the "old school" guys and replacing them with young guys that are loyal to him. Jim Ross apparently prevented Cornette from being fired and reduced his punishment to a 4-6 week leave of absence. Tommy Dreamer will be handling most of Cornette's OVW responsibilities for now. Credit: PWInsider.com Fucking Mordecai. This Johnny Ace wanting young loyal guys is pretty scary. Dudes been a dick as President of Talent or whatever he is.

Well. Um. I'm a Smackdown! man and all but the card looks a little um... We'll see how it turns out. Wonder why Book and Kurt are spoiling the ppv match....

actually the hhh/taker match was annoucned on the second post split raw, the changed to hogan/hhh on sd the same week, (actually the very next night as sd is taped on tuesdays). Hogan came out with his new red and yellow boas and tights. Taker/HHH was announced the first post draft RAW. The week before was the actual draft on RAW and then Smackdown! that week was a farewell of one brand or something with tag partners saying bye and such. I was there for the first Smackdown! roster only Smackdown!; which was in Rochester and I think RAW was in Buffalo the night before. I think Rock gave Hogan the blessing for the title shot or something. Main event that night was Rock/Jericho.
