    RAW in Toronto

Apprarently the ticketmaster site wont let me review my order at this point in time, 2:00 AM EST, but I'll post it tommorow. I think we're coming up to Toronto early in the day to spend the whole day there. Should be fun. Edit: Drunkeness

    RAW in Toronto

I'm making the trip up north from Rochester with a few buddys. Pretty excited for a day of drinking (pretty happy that Canada's age limit is 19 and I just turned 19 in December) and a night of RAW. Should be good times. If you see a guy in an UnderQuaker shirt, that's me.

    What keeps you tuning in?

Yea it's pretty much a habit. I tried to stop watching after HHH's return from the quad injury, because that one RAW where he came back in MSG just pissed me off. How he didn't come out til the end of the show then had a ridiculously long entrance. Then squashing Angle for no reason. I was disgusted. I think I only lasted til the nWo came back. In the days since the brand extension, Smackdown's become my smoking marijuana to show every Thursday, and it's ridiculous nature has lent itself to that habit with great results. The first Smack! I baked to was the Lesnar/Show ring explosion. I remember going crazy, marking out like it was my job. Then the following weeks, when Piper pulled of Gowen's leg, and Vince yelled at him backstage... man, I remember thinking I'd never seen Vince as mad. Ridiculous good times. RAW is something I prefer to drink to.

    Torch article in 2001

I've been watching since 94, reading news site (iwrestling.com was my first, then 1wrestling for a while and more recently 411mania/Insidepulse). I don't think I knew much of anything about the Torch or Observer when I first broke into the net scene, although I remember hearing about Heyman doing this although that was pretty recently someone mentioned it. I just had never known what he was pushing for.

...So what angle was this for?

    Raw 12.27.04 Dicussion and Reactions

No, but I was hoping that Rosey and Dean would be set up for a Hog Pen Match at New Year's Revolution

So what did Heyman do this for?

Well Trips finally got a job back from Shelton. That hurts the IC title in my eyes.

Worst match of the year 2004....

I go with JBL-Taker. It was unreal to be there live for. I wish the wave during JBL matches caught on everywhere.

    Recognized WWE Matches

...I sadly marked for that match, actually. As did I, like fucking crazy. But I was there live. My voice was gone. I actually was singing Zach's theme song when he won (how embarassing, I even played politics to put it on our Varsity soccer warm up tape that year too).

WWE wrestlers accused of harassing Hooters patron

So that's probably Jericho. Drunken Flair got rowdy with his boy Batista.

    Which SmackDown youngster

Lodon's 2 week mini-feud with Booker was off the charts, way better than any of the Cena Matches. I hope he sticks with it and the WWE realizes they have their next guy in the tradition of HBK and Gurrero. Whoever said he can't be typecaste as a Cruiserweight is right.
  14. I thought the last 5-10 minutes of the match was great, great stuff. I thought we had our screw job finish at the belt shot. Excellent near falls and finishing sequnces... JBL doesn't know how to sell the ankle. Come on, JBL was in it for so long so many times, the move lost credibility. I personally marked for the heel stable v. heel stable storyline, and the other mini-stable of Carlito and Jesus even interacted with JBL's cabinet. And Carlito called him cool, and didn't spit the apple. It's cool that the heels actually have a little depth. The opening promo was great. Angle inventing the overly ridiculous celebrations, it's true it's true. The Orlando-Luther promo about health care was awesome, these two are really coming into their own on the mic. Luther's pretty pimp. Not near Batista levels yet, but he's got the smooth talking ways. Best Smackdown! in a while. I'm one of the few who watches RAW and Smackdown! and prefers Smackdown!

    HHH on Opie & Anthony

Wasn't Lesnar/HHH in the books for Mania 21?

What movies will you be going to see in 2005?

The Marine and Eye Scream Man* *If they go to the dollar theatre in town.

    Things you dont find funny

You'd seriously put MAD TV over SNL? I've always hated MAD TV and liked SNL, but can't say I'm watching either of them currently so if MAD has surpassed SNL, that's sad. Anyhow, Napolean Dynamite wasn't funny and everyone I know loves it. It only had a few good one liners.

    Ivory makes some Racist comments

Like that's ever stopped them before. Ex: Al Snow doing The Tough Enough Contest on Smackdown! when He Is a Raw Superstar. Ivory last wrestled on Raw, so I think she jumps from side to side as she pleases. Do Ivory and Todd usually do the pre-ppv HeATs regardless of which brand it is? Because I know they were doing their live filming outside before Summerslam, but I haven't watched any pre-ppv heats since then. And since Experience covers Raw and Smackdown, maybe they are neturals? Or is Grisham on Smackdown? I only ever see Josh Matthews.

EA signs a 5 year exclusive deal with NFL

"cough" Shenmue Jet Set Radio Panzer Dragon Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution Space Channel 5 Crazy Taxi Samba de Amigo Seaman and there are more out there. Yeah all these games suck. And a lot of those are just Dreamcast. This generation: Super Monkey Ball 1 & 2 (and Deluxe I think for the other platforms?) Shenmue II Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg (Underrated) Phantasy Star Online I/II and III (although I can't speak for III) And for the DS, the only game worth owning at this point, Feel the Magic: XX/XY And I don't really play football games, but fuck EA for doing this to SegaSports. Competition makes you better, see: WWE.

Flair throws punch at Foley backstage

Actually, my second wrestler I saw WAS Mabel. But he still had his rapper gimmick back then. ...and for people who say Mabel/Viscera was never over...think back to that time period, where everyone was going "WHOOMP...THERE IT IS." for him. I heard in the Insider that he ate Mo! edit: No wait, this was during King Mabel so Sir Mo was there. I believe he ate their manager, Oscar! :o

And Amy beats Funaki for the Cruiserweight title, right? "You'll see it only here on Smackdown!"

    Raw Thread 12. 13. 2004

Interesting. Maybe if Batista/Trips is on for Mania and they don't want to hault Orton's push, they'll send him to Smackdown! to beat JBL. I don't see that being likely, as I think Cena's got that spot.

Futures of WWE Lower Card Members

I see gold for all of JBL's stable going into Mania. After Cena wins the Rumble or #1 Contendership somehow, JBL will help Orlando Jordan beat Cena on Smackdown! or No Way Out. Also at No Way Out the Bashams deft. Rey and RVD for the tag straps. Come on, you know it's coming. Vince loves JBL. I love Orlando, so I'm not complaining.

Flair throws punch at Foley backstage

I have to agree with Hunter's Quad. I started watching weekly in late 94 and followed it only briefly before that (I was 8 in 94 so yea I was younger and didn't follow it very much) only maybe the occasional Superstars on my Fox's Saturday morning after the cartoons ended, and a few Rumbles and other PPVs on casette from Blockbuster. So I was a fan before Attitude, hell I became a fan during the New Generation of all eras, so Diesel was my main man.
