The whole team is the scapegoat. Every single one of them failed. Some people just were more significant to the failure then others.
-
I can't see them letting weaver go with potentially 3 empty spots in their rotation (Clemens, Wells and Maybe Pettite if he goes..) He can't handle the pressure of New York in the regular season. EVERY MOTHERFUCKING PERSON ALIVE knew that Torre couldn't trust Weaver with the ball in the playoffs and World Series, even Torre himself, and yet Weaver still pitched Game 4 and lost. The thing (I refuse to acknowledge him as a human being) cannot stand under pressure. Ship his ass off to Iraq and give me someone who doesn't fold when things matter the most.

Fuckin' a. And Sandman, I'll be your getaway driver for the Weaver mission. Don't need a driver. I'll just calmly put the axe down to his severed head, drop to my knees, and place my hands behind my head.

I don't know. Jay Witasick lost the 2001 series for the Yanks by blowing Game 6 in the biggest way possible. Weaver was a failure coming in, a failure during the season, and a failure especially during the playoffs, specifially Game 4. Who knows. But Jeff Weaver is officially on my list of people that I will kill if I see them and gladly go to jail over. And I'm not joking around either. I'm dead serious.

This is worse then last year. And the only way this could be worse, for me at least, is if the people celebrating were wearing Boston uniforms. I think I would seriously consider sliting my wrists if that happened.

Dump the whole team and show me people who don't fucking fold under pressure.

The Marlins outhit, outpitched, outran, outthought, outrelieved, and flat outplayed the Yankees in this series. They deserve their rings. The way they've played this series, the Yanks don't.

The dinosaurs (Jurassic Park).

Pettitte is pitching well though. He's been the only Yank to pitch consistently well during the majority of the post season, with Game 6 vs. Boston being the exception, and he left with the lead in that game. If I had to have anyone on the Yanks staff go against Beckett, it'd be Pettitte.

Well, you're in his mind now, which is even better. I think I would put some more pressure on the guy. If you have nothing to do, walk into a room where this guy is. He'll probably walk off if what you've said is true. Give him odd little glances and stares on a constant basis. Essentially freak him out. If all works, his mind will snap and he'll attack you. Let him throw the first punch so you can claim self-defense, then jam an ice pick into his brain through his nose. Mind game, destroying him mentally, and then physically. You can't lose.

You should have posted pictures of me. It's a celebration of me, not a celebration of your incompetency. Now begone.

If you're going to celebrate a meaningless accomplishment, at least do something in the "celebration." I don't use this for attention, I use it to gross people out.

...liar. You're right......... Lord Kenny Rogers.

Mix your projectile speeds. A good player worth his salt won't be sitting back and throwing nothing but fierce fireballs. They'll be moving around, throwing stuff at different speeds, trying to get their opponent to make a mistake. An amateur is a person who doesn't know how to throw a fireball regularly. A veteran is a person who can throw a fireball regularly, but sticks primarily to the fast version and can be taken care of. An expert mixes their speeds and doesn't abuse projectiles.

Out of the entire Yanks pitching staff, the most consistent person there is Andy Pettitte. Thankfully, he's the one on the mound Saturday. I'm going under the assumption that Pettitte will be able to hit the strike zone, and Beckett is going on a day's less rest, though he is young. I can see the Yanks pulling out game six. Game seven is all bets off. Unfortunately.

Emperor Kenny Rogers.

There is plenty of punch. Take some off Mondo's back there. As for pie, you're just being a greedy fuck Rant.

I'm more frustrated then mad. They've been beating themselves about as much as the Marlins have been beating them. Torre's mental breakdown of inserting the pressure-folding Weaver into not just a World Series game, but a TIE WORLD SERIES GAME IN EXTRA INNINGS! Predictably, Weaver folds and gives up the game winning run. And tonight, Wells going all of 3 outs and forcing the bullpen to scramble, which they have not done well tonight. Add in Giambi and Soriano being unable to hit the ball, as well as mistakes in the field, and it's no wonder that the Yanks need to win the next two in the Bronx.
-
Who replaced the Yanks with this little league team? A team known for its poise under pressure on the largest stage is falling apart at the seams. And now it's 6-1. Pull the rest of the bullpen into the dugout, give the ball to that fuckup Weaver, tell him to finish the job before Saturday, and not to come back to New York.
-
At least Triple-A Jose is done. Game is not going well at all, it'll be another miracle if the Yanks can pull close. Considering it's like they're playing with their cards exposed to the other table members.

Some stuff y'all, specifically Mik, might find interesting. I grew up in Portland, ME, where the Marlins had their AA affiliate for 9 years, until it switched over to the Red Sox this year. So I've seen Beckett, A.J., Penny, Charles Johnson, and others play. Also, McKeon lived in Elon, NC, which just happens to be where I go to school.

An owner who doesn't want to win (Re: Pohald, Carl) isn't an owner that a person should want to play for.

They need someone who can get an out. They'd work Mussina in 6, and Clemens in 7. Gotta go to NHB and make 5000th post...
