This year was a blur.

Tidus is really a dream in FFX.

How does the downloading of new rosters work in any of these sports games? Like, can I download updated rosters half way during a season?

I honestly can't. I know I shouldn't be, but I'm really pissed off about this. Seriously. Who cares about some greedy politicians when a baby penguin is being starved to death? Not me, that's for sure. How about politicans that oversee the process of starving inmates and other acts that would be considered human rights violations?

They may have the same sound as ten years ago, but they're getting by now thanks to a newer, younger audience after a good album, rebounding from Warning. So in that sense, they're selling more albums thanks to a wider audience and the pop-punk boom in recent years. But that dosen't mean they're being overly praised, it's just that they're more popular amongst a specific audience. Since the album exceeded expectations, they've been bashed just as much, if not more, than they've praised. The only people overrating them are the fanboys.

Eh, American Idiot is a solid pop-rock album. They wouldn't be getting so much hate if it wasn't for the overexposure. That, and the awful track/video for Wake Me Up When September Ends. To call them overrated is silly though.

HOW DID OUR EYES GET SO RED? AND WHAT THE HELL IS ON JOEY'S HEAD??? I'm surprised no one has mentioned that "Mr. Lonley" song. I'd put that inbetween "My Humps" and one of the Simple Plan songs from this year. Also, who the fuck are Heathrow Heights?

I stopped watching the show around season 7, but since August i've watched all the mythology episodes in the 4 box sets they released. I just watched the series finale and I don't think it's as bad as everyone made it out to be. However, there still needs to be some sort of closure as there are still lots of loose ends (the alien invasion of 2012 and what happens to William and Gibson Praise). If the X-Files 2 (apparently being filmed this month) is going to be a prequel to the series finale, then I don't think i'm going to be interested. All they need to do is have Mulder briefly narrate the colonization conspiracy to introduce the new fans and go from there. I just wish they didn't kill off CSM at the end of the finale (or the Syndicate earlier in the series for that matter) since it would have been great to have him further the mythology in future movies.

She's decent on "Haiti", not so much on "In the Back Seat".

Stay of execution denied for Stanley "Tookie" Williams
cbacon replied to Dangerous A's topic in Current Events
Well, besides the fact that it would be quite barbaric and inhumane, it'd make you no worse than the criminal. -
I hate when they do that. I'd rather they release it later so the rosters are as accurate as possible.
-
Did they turn down the ridiculous hitting from last year?

Are there some people that just won't change or should just eb put to death? Yep. And what does putting them to death achieve exactly, other than some primitive form of "justice"? A prevention of violent crimes happening agan, maybe? Gonna tell me Bernardo wouldn't kill or rape again? Well, we don't know that. For all we know he could be rehabilitated. And that agrument strays away from the topic since Bernardo isn't even on death row, he's in jail for (presumably) life, which would be the case for Tookie had he not been killed. The death penalty is not a proven deterrent, it costs less to keep them in prison and Tookie can't be commiting violent crimes if he's behind bars. -
Shit, I need to go on a road trip.

Great movie, one of the best of the year. I might check it out again before the DVD release.
