i don't have much to add to the thread because i'm so late into the conversation, but that's utter bullshit, by the way. recruiting has never been higher, and if you talk to nearly anyone out there, morale is fine. You can attribute some of this to enlisting in the armed services as a recession/depression (please don't let this get to the latter) - proof job. Yes morale is high, but that's the logical consequence of having a volunteer-only Army/Navy/whatever. Again, I want the draft to be re-institututed and I felt that way before I started the enlistment process for myself. As far as geopolitics go, China's the big one, with Russia being the smaller one. Both must be monitored. The next new American military action that I foresee will actually be in East Africa (yes, again), in Sudan this time.

I won't have much to do besides my own personal PT after my last day of work on Tuesday, so sure. TSM's been my internet home for over seven years now and I'll be damned if new ownership makes me leave. The replacement for the World Trade Center is no longer going to be named the Freedom Tower, thank goodness. It'll be... (drumroll please) The World Trade Center! I always thought the new name was bullshit. Naming it exactly was it was before is much more of a thumb in the eye of who did this.

I hadn't had a genuine hangover until this past Monday morning. I was only asleep for four hours after drinking on and off for the previous twelve. Felt like a damn hatchet was planted right in the middle of my brain. I drank a lot of water and took some ibuprofen, but all it took for the headache to go away was a 3-6pm nap. I didn't want to drink for a couple of days afterward, thank goodness. Previously it was a simple matter of drinking water before going to bed, a step I neglected on Sunday night/Monday morning.

Linda McMahon rising from the wheelchair all the way through the end of the Vince/Shane match is just an ungodly sustained pop. It was enough that she kicks him in the nuts, but then Foley gets back in the ring after his chairshot and starts beating the crap out of Vince, and THEN Shane debuts the VanTerminator in the WWF. Just about everything on the card is at least pretty decent, even Chyna whoopin' up on Ivory was fun. I remember that the next week was Spring Break at school, but I was telling people "fuck this break crap, I just wish it was last Sunday night again." I still feel the same way, it was one of those completely fantastic shows that I watched over and over after taping it off of the original broadcast. Royal Rumble 2000 is still my #1 favorite PPV, but this is #1A. COME ON MAN

I'm kinda lame. I drink regularly, sometimes to the degree that I couldn't walk a straight line if someone had a rifle pointed at my face, but never do anything really wild or crazy. No fights, no misguided hookups, no injurious stunts, nothing. Zhangmejie's story is the best so far though.

well uh, if you put it like that I wasn't trying to be demeaning, but in a line of work and assortment of branches where deadly force is supposed to be a regular part of the job, they're the deadliest. At least in theory anyway.

I'm not really looking forward to killing people (if I do). It's more of a resignation that it's part of the job and that if I'm ever in a situation where I have to that it'll be a totally justified act given that they'll be shooting at me as well. The moment someone discharges a firearm in my direction is when I have no problem returning fire. If I wanted to be a straight-up killer I would have enlisted in the Marines. Not to take anything away from them since they'll go through more than I ever will, but they're trained to kill and be killed.

Worst thing I've ever done is whack off to mental images of my cousin and aunt (unrelated, from different sides of the family). Yup. First time I've divulged that information outside of an AIM conversation with IDRM once. Not at the same time, but the cousin used to be hot before she decided that fat was the new thin and my aunt was as well before she popped out a couple of kids. This was back around high school time. If you saw what my aunt used to look like you'd probably agree. Not like that makes it okay, but still. Besides that, it might have been stealing from my grandfather's change tray when I was seven. I felt really bad about that, especially since I didn't think it though that the only way I'd have to spend it would be if my grandfather or grandmother took me somewhere and I'd have to explain where I got all that change. As far as websites go, probably some white power bullshit website to see how bad it was. Oh, it was bad. That or the Madie Anne thing I posted in LSD a few years back. I owe Agent $50 still from like, five years ago. That was the last time I gambled. So far as taking chances/risks in general, I'm 50-50 in that I don't do a lot of conventional crap like stunting on motorcycles or base jumping or whatever.
