Oh yeah, Super Bowl XXXII killed me too. People were apologizing to me the next day and talking like someone in my family had died or something. It felt that awful to watch Down Syndrome Elway (look at how that mofo looks when he's smiling in that game and shit) hoist that trophy up after the best second best Super Bowl ever in my eyes (XXXIV being the best).

Umm...have you seen OU at it's best? Watch the OU that played Texas. Immaterial. OU against Texas was OU against Texas. That was that particular Saturday. I don't give two shits about how well they played all season. They could have made every single game a 187-0 murder (because they liked that number and the tie-in with murder), but that they got rocked by 28 points, once again, indicates SEVERE FLAWS. Neither USC nor LSU had such a deficit facing them in a game, let alone have their loss be by that much. Any time they were down was at the very least contested until the end of the game. OU fucking CRUMBLED under pressure when a team that was ready for them came in and knocked them on their asses. Bill Snyder dissected every bit of their team and it paid off HUGE. A truly great team would have been able to A) come back, B) not let it get out of hand like that, C) ignore the media saying they were in the title game either way (fuck what the players and coaches say on ANY team, they listen more than they admit) and, if you want to use a certain excuse, D) ignore the departure of their defensive coordinator after the game. Now the genius of Nick Sabin will be dissecting the dissection and OU is going to get fucked up down in N'Awlins, much to the delight of the virtual home crowd, which a truly great team should be able to overcome. Make that reason letter E, if anyone wants to argue that Kansas State was virtually at home and that's why they won. I'm no OU hater, but just get off of it already and admit that such a miserable performance negates ANY great season. If you can't even come to play the big games that matter, let alone win them, just get the fuck back to Norman and coddle that 2000 trophy and tell yourselves everything's going to be okay and you're one of the best teams in recent memory over and over again. So, in closing, LAY OFF OF IT ALREADY.

Now it's time for the SEC to represent up in this mofo. Aw yeah. (roots for Michigan to beat USC in what should be a bona fide dandy to make LSU [fairly] undisputed national champs)

Christmas 1998 I got my Brett Favre jersey, Packer sweatpants, jacket, the works. I was going to wear it all to the first day of school when we got back. The day before, the Packers went down to the 49ers after "The Catch II." I still wore my stuff the next day. I was mocked endlessly, but it was a good game, goddammit.

Dude, the BCS has yet to fail to produce a national champion that everyone agrees on. There hasn't been a split national champion since the 1997 season, the one that forced the BCS to be instituted. I personally like the BCS because of the annual shitstorm that surrounds it as well as, as I said, how it hasn't failed yet.

Okay, pal, the O.J. Hart schtick was never actually funny. Aw, I always thought it was funny. I should have said I was talking to her on my CELL PHONE~! I actually spent the day at home by myself watching football, then went to grandfather's house with my father to, well, watch more football. No cake, no presents. Ehh.

It doesn't matter how much they rocked everyone during the season, late losses will kill you more than any others. If we still had the Bowl Alliance and did things by the polls at the end of the season, OU would drop to #3 (or #4 where I'd put them, as any loss, no matter how good the team, should put a team down three places at least especially after getting rocked like they did tonight) and wouldn't be declared the National Champs anyway. The 2003 OU team will be remembered as really good, but you just can't lose that late in the season, in your own conference championship game no less, and be considered worthy of being near a national title game against a team that DID win its conference (LSU in a title game, USC in the "best record" way that I detest). USC is good, but I still contend that LSU is better. Their fairly sound handling of the #5 team in the country tonight proved that, and it was the second time they did it (when it was a virtual home game for Georgia and how it's nearly impossible to beat a team twice in one season). Not only that, but the beating was MUCH worse this time than the first game, and Georgia had a lot of people playing tonight that weren't able to play in the first encounter. Here's how I'd put it: #1: LSU #1: USC (tie) #3: Michigan #4: Oklahoma #5: Texas To me, LSU/USC is the only conscionable Sugar Bowl matchup. Oklahoma can't possibly be THAT good if they were flat-out SCHOOLED tonight as they were. That indicates some serious flaws whereas the other two teams' losses were a decent loss at home to the co-SEC East champions(LSU) and a triple-overtime loss on the road(USC).

(roots for Oregon State too) The way I see it, if USC goes down, we're going to see an SEC team in the Sugar Bowl one way or another. A win over LSU would give Georgia the necessary quality win points to leapfrog Michigan, I think.

There was speculation all over the Mustang sites about what the red button was, and no one could figure it out. Some conjectured it was an emergency engine shut-off button. I have no idea, myself.

If Syracuse keeps up their current game and Boise State spanks Hawaii as expected, I'd start thinking about LSU in their spot.

Maybe they wanted to go to the winter wonderland in Syracuse. I wouldn't say it's because of Notre Dame. And isn't their #1 team Musberger and Fouts? They did the Tennessee/Miami game, I thought they were the #1 team. And where the heck is Keith Jackson? Does he only do bowl games now? Musberger actually kept fucking up Clausen's name (it's not "klau-sen," it's "claw-sen," retard), so I don't care where he is.

Definitely. A 21 point margin isn't large enough. The spread would be at least 45-14. Admittedly, I haven't watched a single USC game this season. With that out of the way, have you seen LSU play? The game would be a barnburner between the two, but I say LSU would win out. EDIT: GO SYRACUSE AND WHOEVER HAWAII IS PLAYING!!!

Reports are simmering that Ohio State might miss out on a BCS bowl and we'll get a Tennessee/Texas Fiesta Bowl~! Now THAT I want to see. The REAL UT against that poser Texas. I like ESPN.com's power rankings' little comment on it: "Is it legal to have that much orange in one stadium?" I KNEW that the ability of Tennessee fans to sell out any bowl game, anywhere, anytime, would help them, as well as Ohio State losing more recently. THE DREAM LIVES~!

Yeah, the four headlight arrangement is very BMW-ish, but that's how the GTs were in the 60s before BMW was even known for that look. As for the inbred son, that's the idea. The latest trend in cars, where they're made to look modern yet older is called Retrofuturism. The idea with it here was to mate modern styling cues with the Mustang image of the 60s that are conjured up in people's minds when the car is mentioned. They could have done better, as no car is completely perfect (except for the Shelby GT 500E), but I think this is still a home run as far as designing was concerned.
