I have a few ideas. First, change the minimum number of posts needed to change your own title to 250. It rewards people who stick around and contribute. Next, the levels. Since rasslin' is in a steady decline these days, and the site (thankfully) doesn't focus on it like it used to, the levels should move away from rasslin' references. I've been using FIrefox at home for months now, and have been using it at work for about 6-8 weeks. We were "encouraged" to use other browsers because of the JPG vulnerability in IE (since patched, but still). The only thing I have to use IE for is to do my timesheet online.

This made me laugh. Did you as a Ravens fan, think this as well when it happened? Yeah, pretty much. I never thought Maddox protected the ball very well, but I was expecting the Steelers to be a dark horse contender for the playoffs. And tossing a rookie QB out there, not even two full games into the season, looked like a recipe for disaster. However, the Steelers' gameplan means Ben plays a similar role to Trent Dilfer on the 2000 Ravens: hand the ball off, don't fuck up, and make the throws when you need to. He's done a fine job of it so far.

RFK doesn't have a lot of the amenities that MLB and its owners are looking for. In other words, they can't gouge the public with riduculous prices for luxury boxes, club seating, premium concessions, etc. I agree that refurbishing RFK would be a much cheaper alternative, and certainly give MLB and DC 10+ years to finally get a deal in place that both sides will back the whole way. Personally, I'm glad this happened. DC doesn't need a baseball stadium, and bravo to the city council for acting in accordance with the clearly-established will of the citizenry. MLB is bent because they can't sell the team for as much now. My heart bleeds...

I would have taken Ben-Ro over Manning to begin with. Manning seemed like a lot of hype and family pedigree to me, while Ben just went out and won games. And I'd still take Ben over Eli today. I think they'll both turn out to be good, but Eli's really been thrown into a bad situation. IMO, the Giants should fire COughlin for his handling of the QB position. Y'know, I bet the Ravens thought they were shafting the Steelers when they hurt Maddox in week 2. "Muahahaha, now we're leaving them with this rookie whose name barely fits on his jersey. They're done for!" Not so much, it would seem.

1. Yes, just to potentially head off the situation before it got to that point. This presumes I think the fellow threatening me is being serious about and not just talking out of his ass. 2. I'd shoot the first one square in the crotch with my shotgun. That would very likely deter the rest of them, and be nonlethal. That's my problem with it. Nature gives us a pretty equal ratio of females to males (I know there are more boxes than dicks, but it's not by a huge margin), and that's necessary to keep us going. If people can choose the gender of their child, that natural balance will be upset. Too many baby boys or girls could throw things off and cause problems down the line. "Playing god" really isn't something I care about, but I do believe that we don't have to do something just because we can.

When do-gooders started calling the police because some parent they'd never met actually spanked their child for acting like a miscreant. It's all gone downhill from there.

Rubbish. Animals have no rights, nor should they. Having rights means you can enter into the social contract, which animals clearly cannot do. This, of course, does not mean I believe animals should be mistreated. We are responsible for treating them humanely. But to say that they have, or should have, any rights is ridiculous. Bunny hugger.

To be on the safe side, he should file a report with the local police. But me, I'd just wait with my shotgun and pistol. Usually, when someone threatens to come to my house and kill me with sticks or some such, I tell them, "Just make sure you bring all your friends. I only want to have to clean my guns once."

Black Lotus, the 5 Moxen, Time Walk, Timetwister, and Ancestral Recall are the cards in the P9. A Beta Lotus in good condition sells for quite a nice chunk of change these days. They can fetch $2000 without a lot of difficulty.

Other than my car, I'd have to go with a few old Magic cards I own. Heck, they might be worth more than my car in a few years; their price has at least doubled in the last 18 months, and is still going up. I knew when I got them they would be a great investment if I ever decided to sell them. I could probably sell my Power 9 set (Beta, for those who know the game) for about $8000, *much* more than I paid for it.

This should definitely have been investigated and pursued. If the source is credible, this isn't something we can just overlook. It should be investigated and pursued now, if it still can be. And if Iran even tries this, we should blow them off the map.
