Bush: If you want America's help, you know what you have to do, bitch. Kneeling man: ::sighs:: Smiling man: Uh, sir, this might not be the best place to um... flex the American muscle.

I would mawrc if Blade came running at him, and HHH's character gave him the facebuster. And did the water spray with a mouthful of blood after killing some hapless human.

Well, I suppose we couldn't suffer a "noose malfunction."

We could go back to stonings and crucifiction. Rocks and the crosses are reusable and cheap. On a semi-related note, I'm all in favor of public executions. The halftime show at the Super Bowl should feature at least three sociopaths getting hanged, fried, or shot. Lethal injection just doesn't make for good TV, though the gas chamber might be OK if the chap inside it twitches and convulses a lot.

I remember when scissors were a requirement for school. And "potentially dangerous" things like staplers, rulers with the metal edge on them, etc. Nowadays, those are all "weapons." How fucking absurd. When I was in middle school, if one kid threw another to the ground, he'd be looking at a suspension, and that's about it. These days, the kid's parents would get sued, the school would get sued for not supervising the kids, the school board would be sued for not allocating funds to the school to supervise the kids, etc. We need to let children experience the world, not lock them away in insulated little rooms. Skinned knees, schoolyard bullies, falls from the jungle gym, shoving matches... these are all parts of growing up in middle school. We've become a society of bitches when it comes to our kids, and it's quite disgusting.

It's a shame the death penalty is so bloody expensive in this country. Still, if Peterson killed his wife, string the sumbitch up and be done with it.

Another late arrival here. Hope it was a good one.

I seem to have 4 now, and I didn't vote. Obviously, people are slow to realize my awesomeness.

Because terrorists wantonly and routinely target innocents, and try to kill as many civilians as possible. The President is nothing like that, and neither are our Armed Forces, and such a comparison is bloody disgusting. Your problem, from which you should spare the rest of us. We're still the greatest country on earth. Everybody makes money on something. The implication that we started the war for those profits is absolutely and unequivocally wrong and dishonest. Folks in the Armed Forces knew what they were signing up for. Is the fact that there supposedly aren't a lot of "rich kids" in the Armed Forces supposed to bother anyone? Cheney's not actively involved in Haliburton anymore, and hasn't been since the first campaign. I'm sure he knows what they're doing and all, but it's not like he's running them from the Senate floor. So? So? If they're qualified to do the job, BFD. How about you apologize for starting this abortion of a thread? You're going into this presuming the absolute worst, and anyone who doesn't buy into your leftist vision is wrong, evil, and needs to apologize for freely electing a man who has taken a stand to keep his country safe. It's all a pile of rubbish. Stop subscribing to the Politburo's communiquaes and realize that we're doing the right thing, both for the US and the world as a whole.

Signing bonuses are spread out over the length of the deal, but Harrison won't count much against the cap after he's gone. It's still a good deal for the Colts.

So Satanico and I are the only ones who understand that a "seven-year" contract in the NFL is really just for two or three? THe press loves reporting these, and let's face it, 7 years and $67m are impressive numbers. But NFL contracts are not guaranteed. Harrison is already 32. He'll play 3, maybe 4, more years, and that'll be it. The Colts will pay him only for those years, with their salary cap creativity built in. It's a great deal for both sides.

The Ravens. But it's their own fault for choking against the Bengals like they did.

Happy anniversary of your birth, Loss. Since you liked what I got you last year so much, I've decided to get you the same thing again. How lucky!

Welcome to the Dark Side, young padawan.

Huh. I was wondering what had happened, since I got that same search page. Out of curiosity, does this mean the board and all its posts are gone?

They won't decry anything that makes them money.

Our experiences are completely different, then. While I've never been in the military, I have worked for the Army for about five years now, and I've met a lot of soldiers, NCOs, and officers in my day. While I haven't talked to all of them at length, the ones I have joined for much nobler reasons than college money. In fact, I can't recall a single NCO or officer who cited college money as a reason for joining. Many of them did it because they felt the Army would put their skills to the best use, others did it because their grandfather, father, and brothers had all been in the Army. I've met a few folks in the other branches, and again, I can't recall anyone who says they signed on for the college money.

Ah, but you will. Hippie. See, it's inescapable. Anyway, I can't imagine why the PTC *hasn't* raised a fuss about "The Shield." There's the steady stream of violence and fairly regular cursing. We've also had the Julien storyline unfolding, with myriad references to him being gay (some rather explicit), and his efforts to have a child with his wife after being "rehabilitated." This year, we had Acevada forced to blow some criminal. "The Shield" is a great show, but I'm surprised the PTC busybodies haven't flooded the FCC with crap about it yet.

I have to agree. The owners, dim as they might seem at times, had to have the same knowledge and suspicions as the fans. They benefited from players on steroids just as much as those players did. If one side is forced to take a financial hit, the other side should be also. BTW, you should edit your post to include a link to the article and a credit to the author. Posting it is fine; posting it without proper credit is not.

Rubbish. Provolone is where it's at. Of course, I find American cheese repulsive, so I might be biased.

A LOT of things. I have a pretty morbid and wicked sense of humor, and I find ironic and cruel things very funny.

Local places are almost always the best. We have some Pat's chains around here, and while their cheesesteaks are good, they're nothing to write home about, either. The best place in the area unfortunately closed. It was called Kounelli's, and was this dinky little sub shop in a dinky little strip mall. Their small cheesesteak was equivalent to a large at most places, since they PACKED it full of meat. They had to give out forks with them, since there was that much meat. The best place in the immediate area now is a restaurant called The Musical Inn. However, about 45 minutes away is the legendary Captain Harvey's, and their subs are ridiculous.

Don't watch Aqua Teen, do ya? Nope. I don't care for most anime. Cowboy Bebop > the rest of the shows on Cartoon Network
