What matters is her obvious intent, not whether she got what she wanted or not. And to the extent that people are still trying to excuse her ineptitude, she got at least part of what she wanted: validation and reassurance that she didn't really act like a silly nit. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't that mean that the other car went at right angles to her? And doesn't that mean that the license plate would have been PERFECTLY VISIBLE for an extraordinary amount of time as the Expedition/Explorer/Navigator/Escalade (Jesus Christ, they don't all look that similar) turned towards the exit and then went up the ramp, as I presume there were few if any other cars on the road at that hour (past 2 in the morning)?
