Take a bottle of Stoli with you. Do a shot every time anyone says "Objection." Take a bottle of champagne with you. Have the bailiff give it to the judge, along with a little pink note that reads "XOXOXO, from a secret admirer. PS - are you wearing anything under those robes?" Get the other jurors to join you in doing the Wave every time a new witness is called.

Look at it this way, Dames. You might have ass hair in your mouth on top of everything else. Just count your blessings.

Hey now, give us some credit. We also bombed the Chinese embassy in Belgrade! Um, oops? Seriously, you have to admit that was absolutely hilarious. I wish we'd make "mistakes" like that more often. Well, considering what kinds of countries are around Iraq, that might not have been accidental either. Anyway, this Canada thing isn't even a sensible hypothetical; it's just unadulterated stupidity. Both of you should just shut up right about now, since you didn't a dozen posts ago.

A similar case could be made against a couple carrying recessive genes that'll predispose their kids to sickle cell or lots of furiously metastasizing cancer. By what rationale do we deny reproductive rights to the hicks and grant them to Mr. and Mrs. Lymphy Rotmarrow? huuugs, fkt Fair enough, and yes, I admit the fact that there is a valid slippery-slope argument to be made against incest laws based on social interests in the gene pool. But how do you get around the undue influence problem?

What a ridiculous hypothetical. Why would we ever go to war with a country which is not only our biggest trading partner, but our beloved little sister?

"So tell me who I see when I look in your eyes Is that you, baby? Or just a brilliant disguise..." That's me. God bless America.

"Power and the money, money and the power Minute after minute, hour after hour Everybody's running, but half of them ain't looking What's going on in the kitchen, but I don't know what's cooking They say I've got to learn but nobody's here to teach me If they can't understand it, how can they reach me..."

No. What I said was that there are a lot of rock songs with silly lyrics which have little coherence and little rhythm. In any genre of music, there will be a lot of crap and a very few gems. Rap has its own gems, and they have just as much value as rock's.
-
This is true. Coolio's Gangsta's Paradise (from the movie Dangerous Minds) is a fantastic song. My wife recently made me listen to Kelly Rowland's Dilemma, and it's become one my favourites as well. It's just that most rap doesn't even nod in the direction of lyrics, coherence, or rhythm. Songs like the two cited above are the exception and not the rule. Of course, you could say the same thing about rock. "Right before I turn to leave she says, You don't know what you mean to me No matter what I do, all I think about is you Even when I'm with my boo, Boy you know I'm crazy over you... No matter what I do, all I think about is you, Even when I'm with my boo, You know I'm crazy over you..."

Hamburglar has a point. These articles can hardly be considered newsworthy.

Well, this thread seems to have backfired a bit. If it helps to console you, Banky, I know my wife would agree with your sarcastic tone. I, of course, just agree with the words, pretty much at face value.

More people who believe it's laudable to advocate rape, child abuse, and murder... ah yes, the beautiful dream that is CJ's and Marshall Mather's alone. Truly, you visionaries will build a finer world. I'm glad I disappointed you. I really don't understand what you're trying to say here. Unlike you, I'm not trying to impress anyone. It's rather amusing that you can ask for validation from Tom in one post, and then claim he'll ban you if I ask him to in another.
-
Eh, me either. But what do I know? I'm just a gangsta/thug/pimp/hustler wannabe. And we all know people like Marney are never wrong. If Eminem et al didn't exist, you two might have a point. And I'd be a much happier little girl. Hmm. <ponders>

I know, but I find it funny when people say it.

Double post. That's a first for me.

No, please post pictures of the blonde and the redhead on either end of the picture captioned "My Family" on this page. They're much, much cuter.

There, see how easy it is to respond to someone without using offensive slurs? Keep it up.

The Amish get a taste of the modern world

Children of the Corn. The only reason I watched that movie was because it had Linda Hamilton in it. Fairly decent, surprisingly, but the ending sucked beyond belief. -
Well, that certainly changes my opinion of you. Please accept my apologies for making such a silly mistake, you shining paragon of virtue. Minor difference here. I haven't insulted you at any point in this thread, unless you want to call aesthetic criticism of your clothing an insult. I haven't made any derogatory remarks about your race, your gender, or your sexual orientation. In fact, I haven't provoked you at all. You, on the other hand, seem to be foaming at the mouth, practically on the verge of an aneurysm, unable to refrain from making crude and insulting references to my race, my gender, my sexuality, or all three in every post. I don't intend to do anything of the sort. However, I will report any further offensive language or threats on your part and let the mods and admins make their own decisions. Fair warning. To which one in particular are you referring?
-
Interesting. How do you know the particulars of my salary, or my other sources of income? Incidentally, you might want to stop using derogatory language about my gender and sexuality now. I'm starting to get slightly tired of being called a "bull-dyke" and "some clam-bumping poster," and I don't like your references to my "carpet-munching piehole." I let your rape threat go with minimal comment, but as of this moment I'd appreciate it if you could keep a civil tongue in your head. I'm not one of your "detractors," honey, and I don't hate you. I don't care enough. Unfortunately true. Only men who prefer to look like adults.

Naturally. Let's get this out of the way first. I'm not flaming you. I have no intention of flaming you. If I were to flame you, I would flame you in NHB. I would not flame you in GC, and certainly not over something this trivial. At present, I am having a pleasant little conversation about our differences in sartorial taste and you and Banky are flaming me. That's okay. If it makes you feel any better, your hair looks fine. "You folk?" What "folk" would that be? I take it that other people in the past have reacted to your dress in the same way I have. Unsurprising. And, well, the people you cited do dress the way you do (at least that's what the two or three rap videos I was unfortunate enough to have glimpsed - briefly - would have me believe) so I don't really understand why the parallel upsets you. Enough of a looker to need no validation from anyone here. I doubt my dad knows what Dockers are. Even I don't know what "Eastlands" are. Just as well, isn't it? No, this is America all right. Which means I don't have to care about whether or not you want to hear my opinion. I'll continue to voice it when and as I wish.

Fairly amusing, all things considered. But then, it's the Amish; it's bound to be at least somewhat funny. -
