    Shawn Michaels vs British Bulldog

I agree. Giving Vader the title and then having him lose it in a couple of months would have just been a bad idea and would have made him look worse in the fan's eyes. There was no reason for Vader to lose at Summerslam.

    Shawn Michaels vs British Bulldog

So he can become the first Grand Slam Champion (World, IC, Tag, EC). Yeah, I know, he couldn't have waited until they got back to the US. Why did he need to be the first Grand Slam Champion? He didn't need to. It didn't add anything to his feud with the Undertaker, which was on going at the time, and they knew he was being thrust into the world title picture after that. Did Michaels ever defend the European Championship other than when he lost it to Triple H? If anything he made the title worthless. I'm not to have a go, but I just don't see it as a valid excuse. HBK wanted the belt just to add to his resume. Its shallow, yes. But people remember that. It was another stroke to his ego. After all Michaels wouldn't have been remembered for a bunch of classic matches and a number of different title reigns would he? However, this does not surprise me at all. It's just another example of why I hate Shawn Michaels.

    Shawn Michaels vs British Bulldog

Personally, I'd got with One Night Only. I didn't get to see the event live here in the UK becuase SKY had a dispute over money with the cable companies and so I had to wait until it was released on video. It pissed me off when I found out Michaels had won. I mean, what was the point in giving him the European Championship anyway? As for the Manchester event, it was called "Mayhem In Manchester" and was supposed to be shown as a UK PPV but that feel through after ONO wasn't the sucess that the WWF was hoping for in terms of a buy-rate, probably due to the large number of cable viewers who could not order the event. I went to MIM and the show was main-evented by Kane vs. Undertaker. However, that was only the main-event because Undertakers luggage (including his costume) had gone missing and so he had to go on last in street clothers. The main event was supposed to be the new WWF Champion Steve Austin vs. Triple H.

  14. I am so glad that I didn't watch any of that Diva Search shit. Looking at the recap I would have voted for that if I had seen it. Instead, I went with the (almost) death of Paul Bearer.

  16. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (9/10) A must see film about love and memory that's funny, touching and clever. The cast all give fantastic performances with Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet giving career bests. Truely it is better to have loved and lost...

"Because he's Vince McMahon, DAMNIT!" But seriously, the guy really is a totally out of touch old fart.

Top Three Most Played Albums in Recent Weeks

The Killers - Hot Fuss With a broad "English" streak, despite being from Las Vegas, and pleanty of 80's sounding synth sounds this is a great, upbeat record. Certainly on of the best records of 2004 in my opinion. Kasabian - Kasabian A great throw back to the "baggy" sound days of Madchester in the 90's from a band that are convinced they are the next big thing and don't care about anyone else. A great debut album. Scissor Sisters - Scissor Sisters Another throw back sounding album, this time from the 70's and 80's with similarities to Elton John, Pet Shop Boys and Erasure amongst others. However, it still manages to sound modern enough to make it more than an tribute to those artists. A fun, if sometimes over the top, listen.
