Normally I hate the idea of remakes but the combination of Tim Burton and Johnny Depp give me faith. I think they can pull this off as Burton can certainly do dark and Depp excels as eccentric characters. Plus a new, more faithful, adaptation from the original Roald Dahl book should help to at least make the remake different to the original film version.

Yesterday: Peter Pan (9/10) A really good adventure film with lots of style, humour and a great performance from Jason Isaacs as Captain Hook.

He did indeed suffer two crushed vertebrae, as well as four fractured discs, and was confined to a full bodycast upon leaving hospital. He recovered through natural recuperation, rehabilitation (after he decieded against having titanium plates implanted in his back which would end his wrestling career) and training. It was a remarkable recovery. It did, however, seem like a premature one as I think he started suffering back problems again and was sent to rehab by the WWF. I might be wrong on that last part though.

I have similar feelings towards the "HOLY SHIT!" chants. I hate when the crowd does this for things that are not surprising, shocking or major. I know that does really have anything to do with "Smarkish Comments" but it just got me to thinking.

Yet another Birt... I ordered the following: Royal Rumble I'm a big fan of the Rumble (was the first WWF PPV I ever saw) and the matches looked decent as well as the hope of Benoit winning the Rumble match itself. Backlash Two reason for buying this one. The Orton/Foley Streetfight which had been hyped for about a year and the Benoit/Michaels/Triple H re-match from Wrestlemania XX. I'll probably end up buying Survivor Series and the rest of the PPV's I have either watched on Sky Sports or bought them on DVD.
