The Rangers and Reds agreed on a trade Friday that will send outfielder Josh Hamilton to Texas in exchange for right-hander Edison Volquez and a Minor League pitcher. Texas will have a press conference later in the day to announce the deal. Hamilton was quite a feel-good story early last season. Acquired by Cincinnati from Tampa Bay via a Rule 5 Draft trade, the 26-year-old -- who had been troubled throughout his career as a professional by drug and legal problems -- got off to an impressive start. A sprained wrist and a hamstring injury caused him to miss a good chunk of the second half of the season. He finished the season with a .292 batting average and had 19 home runs and 47 RBIs in 90 games. The hard-throwing, 24-year-old Volquez fanned 166 batters while going 14-6 at three Minor League stops last season. Most here probably know my love of Hamilton, and I hope he stays clean for the Rangers and plays up to his potential, but the Reds needed to move an outfielder with Jay Bruce coming up so it's okay. Voloquez is the guy I wanted for Hamilton, it's been rumored for about 2 months in Cincy, but Texas was unwilling to part with Voloquez seeing as how he has a 98 mph fastball and an 83 mph changeup. He's a potential number one, and along with Bailey and Cueto gives the Reds three of the best pitching prospects in baseball, it's our Paul Wilson, Jason Isringhausen, and Bill Paulsipher if you will. Here are Voloquez's stats from the minors last year: Volquez began this season in High-A and struggled mightily for reasons unknown, but moved up to AA and AAA and was nothign short of great. His combined stats from AA and AAA: 116.1 innings, 71 hits, 9 homers (all in AA), 40 walks, 128 strikeouts, 2.40 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, 9.9 K/9

WWE General Discussion - December 2007

The WWE will never ever be bringing back Cyrus/Don Callis, that guy had more heat than anyone ever. He was hated by damn near everyone including guys like Taker... He was disliked so much, Matt Hardy told the story..Where he'd dress in his car. So one day..they broke toothpicks off in the locks of Cyrus car so he couldn't do that or get to his stuff. Anyone know why he had so much heat? Did he not shake Taker's hand on his first day in, if so then damn him, damn him straight to hell. -
He looks a little like Shawn Michaels from the summer of 96.

Mariners are close to signing Carlos Silva, 4 years for 44 million is the rumored price tag. Also, the Dodgers have dropped out of talks for Bedard, and the Reds are unwilling to give up Bruce. I'm not sure Bedard is going to be traded anymore, which means he'll probably be traded today.

Wow, the Diamondbacks have one hell of a rotation now, and probably the best 1-2 in baseball. Also, the Astros made a good pickup. I don't really understand why Arizona made that deal.

WWE General Discussion - December 2007

This is Wade Keller commenting on the Savage-WWE situation, it's the first time I've heard either Keller or Meltzer mention the Steph stuff. John Lucas asks: Ask the Editor is my favorite feature on the website. Here's a question. Vince McMahon has always put aside bad feelings towards others in the interest of doing business and making money. However, this does not hold true for Mach Man Randy Savage. What is the problem Vince McMahon has with Randy Savage? Does Savage have an issue with McMahon? WK: It's one of the most widely speculated questions in the industry, and most people on the inside who speak about this believe it has something to do with interaction Savage had with Stephanie McMahon years ago. Savage left WWE where he was co-hosting Raw for WCW to become an active wrestler again and enjoyed a resurgence of his in-ring career at that point, but many wrestlers left under similar circumstances that McMahon has welcomed back in the interest of generating fan interest. I do know that McMahon bristles at the mere mention of Savage's name, and it's considered taboo within WWE to even acknowledge Savage in front of McMahon. McMahon has made is clear over the years bringing Savage back is out of the question and no up for debate. -
Luke Scott will be better all around in LF than the combination of Jay Payton (who goes back to being a platoon player at best where he belongs), Jay Gibbons (who shouldnt even be on the 2008 roster but will be cause no one's stupid enough to take him now), Freddie Bynum (hes fast ya know), Tike Redman (resigned to a 1 year deal, could be in the running for CF job), Brandon Fahey (?), John Knott (?), Scott Moore (who'll be the 3B once Mora is dealt) and Luis Hernandez (probably the new starting SS unless more deals are made), all of which played some LF last year. Consistency in LF with Scott and RF with Markakis make me feel really good about the OF even with the ? at CF. Costanzo made 34 errors at 3B last year and 25 the year before, but he's got a good enough bat that He'll more than likely get moved to play 1B and could probably make a run at starting there in 2009 given the total lack of depth at 1b in the Os organization. Patton is the one Im most eager about as he's projected as a #2 starter in the vein of a Maddux or Halladay with really good command of his pitches and pretty good strikeout numbers, and hes only 22. He'll easily make the starting rotation in 08 no matter what Bedard does. The other 2 pitchers are projected as bullpen filler, and honestly they couldnt be any worse than the guys that were in the bullpen this year. Overall, I think they probably could have done better but Im satisfied with the deal, especially if Patton pans out. Current Projected lineup looks like - 2B - Roberts 3B - Mora RF - Markakis DH - Huff LF - Scott 1B - Millar C - R.Hernandez CF - Redman/??? SS - L.Hernandez Bedard Guthrie Cabrera Loewen Patton Now we're just waiting for the other shoe (Bedard trade) to drop. Wow, what a team. I bet they don't even look good in HD.

The only thing more annoying than TNA is HTQ and his "clever" subtitles. We get it, TNA makes dumb decisions. -
Article The proposed deal on the OH from the trade rumors site is Bedard for Bailey, Cueto and Votto. If one of the reasons they are willing to give up Bailey is because everyone in the organization is secretly much higher on Cueto (which they are), why would they trade both?

To give everyone an idea of just what the O's want for Bedard, here is what they asked Cincy for according to Reds beat writer C. Trent Rosecrans: O's give Bedard O's receive: SP Homer Bailey OF Jay Bruce 1b Joey Votto CF Josh Hamilton The Reds haven't gotten back to them on that and won't, as the O's say that's all they'll even discuss.

One of the worst fucking posters in this wretched place. Just absolutly awful, a dreadful mess of a man who hopes to one day touch a boob. -
Next time you make a video could you do it without a shirt? I'm not gay or anything, it's just that, well, you know.
-
Maybe, we can see a little bit of your tits? I can't be the only one on here who's seen the video's of that weird European guy who gets girls on the street to show a little bit of their pussy and tits right?
-
Kindly fuck off. That horse has been dead. That only makes it all the funnier Dan. You see what I did there, I just called you Dan.
-
So, can we see maybe a little bit of your pussy?

I google myself often, some say too much.

I liked it when Martin Lawrence and Eddie Murphy were shown together at the Yankees game as old men. They stilled sassed each other, after all those years, what a pair.
-
If the Reds trade Josh Hamilton to the cubs for sean fucking marshall I may vomit. I don't know if I can believe the chicago tribune, but I really hope that's not what cincy is asking for.
-
That's seriously horrible, no wonder they suck so much.

When asked if the Reds were close to a deal involving Tim Lincecum, Reds GM Wayne Krivsky just gave a little smile to beat writer C. Trent Rosecrans. Reds interested in Lincecum Cincinnati is apparently interested in San Francisco right-hander Tim Lincecum, but if the Giants insist on Reds outfield prospect Jay Bruce as part of any deal, look for the Reds to back off. Bruce, 20, hit a combined .319 with 26 homers and 89 RBIs in 133 games at three Minor League stops in 2007. The left-handed hitting Bruce is considered one of the team's cornerstones of the future. From rotoworld: Tim Lincecum-S-Giants Dec. 3 - 6:28 pm et The Reds are showing interest in Tim Lincecum, though they're not willing to give up Jay Bruce for him. Bruce for Lincecum straight up would be a poor risk for the Reds, but it'd be difficult for the team to make a deal without using him. Joey Votto and Edwin Encarnacion for Lincecum wouldn't be such a terrible proposal Reports in Cincy are that two players in the deal are agreed upon, the sticking point is the third
