No way Opening Day leaves Cincy, unless you live in this city you have no idea what it's like. No one goes to work, the city shuts down, there's a huge parade that leads to the ballpark and everyone gets totally blitzed by noon.

Ted Lilly pitched well for the Cubs, as they beat Cincy 4-1. It was snowing a little at the stadium.

I didn't know Jodie Foster was a lesbian. Damn, one of my goals was to nail that shit before my 22nd birthday.

Potentially huge, season changing news out of St. Louis: ST. LOUIS -- Chris Carpenter will miss his next turn in the St. Louis Cardinals' pitching rotation due to right elbow inflammation. Carpenter allowed five runs in six innings of a 6-1 loss to the New York Mets in Sunday night's opener. The Cardinals said Carpenter will be evaluated over the next three days. Carpenter had been slotted to pitch again on Friday, jumping ahead of Adam Wainwright and Anthony Reyes to keep him on his regular routine despite two off days in the opening week.

Classic, I can already smell the viva meltdown. I say be memorial day he's left broken and despondent, sitting in his own filth on the unkept floor of his shitty apartment.

She was in the 1990 release of "Modern Love" (also starring Rue McClanahan), and was in her mid-twenties then. She competed in the 1985 Miss South Carolina competition and graduated from Uni. of South Carolina in 1988. She's not 33.

Did Czech kill himself, I haven't seen him posting recently.

A couple of things I noticed at the Reds game: 1. Some drunk fan is going to fall off the new Riverboat Pavillion 2. Adam Dunn has a nice ass! Not that I looked.

You're such a nice boy. And handsome.

Bret Hart is such an asshole. She probably reminds him of his ex-wife. Did you see that fat slob? I have no clue why Bret stayed married to her for so long, I mean I could understand if she needed a job and couldn't afford a trainer. But they had plenty of money and she didn't work, no excuse for that.

Ooh, ooh, look inside, it's NOTES! What kind of notes?

Yeah, I remember Meltzer writing about how McCool didn't belong in the business because she was so nice, and married to her high school sweetheart. A year later Alvarez mentions her divorce and how she is a "favorite" of the older men in the company. Outside of Trish I can't think of one woman ever who has had a stable long-term relationship while they are in the wrestling business. I'm not sure who that's an indictment of, but it's basically true when it comes to women who make it to WWE, WCW or ECW. If my girlfriend ever got an offer to go to WWE I'd have to break up with her if she took it, as that's the end of the relationship, at least that's what happens 99/100 times. -

Why the fuck is Masters getting plugs? Just shave your hair real close until you need to razor it off, it's really not that big of a deal as long as you keep yourself tan and in shape. After a little while he'll look like HBK, who might not be able to shave his hair close due to hairplug scars. -
I want Cena to win, the next night on Raw I have HBK give an "I lost my smile speech" with subtle heel signs and quit. A few weeks later I have him show up on Smackdown, attacking the champion who I would make Undertaker. He can then give a passionate speech about how Undertaker fucked up his back and cost him 4 of his prime years. I make him bitter and disillusioned with the current product (ie the women and cursing). In other words I make him like Bret was in 97, a man bitter over what the product is, and over how his career turned out. He can throw down the DX crap and call himself "The Savior" Shawn Michaels. (okay, I know he wouldn't ever call himself that with his beliefs but it makes me laugh thinking about it) I would love a heel HBK leading the smackdown brand. He can use Punk in his anti sex, drugs and alchole crusade.

No she's in her 40's, wiki has her age wrong. She graduated from Uni. of South Carolina in 1988, and was in a crappy movie in 1990 as a mid twenties singer. I believe she is 42.

Wait...WHAT? That's what happens when you become a playa. Guys who can't get any become angry and jealous.

I find it laughable that people actually think a canopy would help. Ever heard of wind? Rain doesn't always come straight down, in fact in rarely does.

He's a great kid with a lot of talent but he has an ego and a half and acts as though he is the end all be all. His heart isn't in it either he's about the money. This could have changed but that's how he was a few years ago. Why say he's a great kid then, he sounds like a cocksucker.

One of these pics makes me horny.

I agree with that, it's just that I'm slightly intrigued by what I've seen, more so his swing and eye at the plate than his hit totals. I have serious doubts as to whether he can hit big league pitching, it doesn't seem possible. But he hits like a seasoned pro in spring and he has an eye like Adam Dunn. I'm curious to see what happens when the season begins, and honestly I don't think anyone has any idea on what to expect, or what happens if he has a little success, meaning women and drugs and booze will be more available than ever before.

I agree with you that Spring training can be deceiving. I remember about 10 years ago when Mike Kelly led the world in every offensive category and then bombed as soon as the season started, and there are countless other stories like this. In general, this is because pitchers are working on things, and if you can hit a fastball your offensive numbers will really be deceiving. Josh Hamilton has a couple of good things going for him: 1. His natural talent. I've read countless stories this spring about how Hamilton has the most natural talent any of the scouts have seen, and this is coming from multiple stories, with multiple team's scouts. After playing with him Adam Dunn said he is the best natural player he ever played with. 2. He has a very good eye at the plate. He's walked 6 or 7 times, and is very selective. 3. He has a short swing, he's only swung and missed 12 times all spring, and has only struck out 5. 4. He isn't juicing home runs, he's hitting the ball the other way, and is hitting or fouling off breaking pitches. Now I'm not saying he's going to go up and be an all star or even a good player, he very well could be a spring mirage. But comparing him to Bloomquist, Linden, Ryan and Kata just based off spring numbers isn't looking at the whole story. None of those guys have his ceiling, and sure right now it's only potential, but it's potential they don't have. As in pure talent there isn't anyone, including Alex Gordon or Philip Hughes or Homer Bailey who has more.

What if there is a thunderstorm? If there is lightning in the area they won't be able to run the show, or they'll at least have to delay it.

Other than weather I think it's a cool idea. An outdoor event always gives a show a unique vibe. I always liked the spring break nitros.

Florida on a spring night, rain is very likely. Late afternoon and early evening rainstorms are a common event in America's greatest state.

Mick Foley has really been exposed since his "retirement" in 2000. Out of all the attitude main players his value has decreased the most, meanwhile his ego has seemed to grow.
