Gilbert Gottfried would be tremendous.

Shit! Guess Who AND Alexander are out in the same week! I've got to go get some cash....
-
They'd have to change it to a stretcher match five minutes in.
-
So WHY exactly did Christian attack Rey?
-
Msters is surprisingly decent. Nothing special, but they're making him look strong. Although not as strong as BIG SHOW, who can't be effected by any move ever. Snitsky is blah, and Shelton "All the potential in the world" Benjamin did his usual spots and nothing else. Angle had NO heat last night when he came out, so you know all the momentum he got from going to RAW is gone. He wants to make Eugene "more special". Ooooooooo. I want to see this match now. The HBK thing was funny at first, but it went on too long and at the end it seemed like he was desperate for a laugh. He looked like an asshole at the end trying to convert to being serious while still having the fake mustache on. Conway looked cool, but having him fight a jobber and struggle to beat said jobber wasn't exactly a great way to debut him. Diva search was eh. Elizabeth is going to go with Coach...hahahahaha! Of course she's not. He's black. She'd rather go with the short, rich white guy that just threw her down in the ring thirty seconds before. Jericho/Cena is really bad. Cena can beat Carlito, Bish and Jericho at the same time, so why would Jericho have a chance one on one?

This was the worst delivery of a decent promo I've ever seen in my life. This storyline is finished.
-
When the most memorable thing on the show is the one time return on Tatanka - a fucking midcard wrestler from 12 years ago - you know something is seriously wrong with your product.
-
This RAW completely lacked originality, memorability, entertainment, feud developments, in-ring work, out-of-ring work, atmosphere, logic and meaning. Plus it had the SAME FUCKING MAIN EVENT as last week. I know it's summer but a LIVE SHOW should not put on repeats. -***/*****

Tonight will be a historical night in that it will be the worst champion vs champion match in the history of mankind.
-
Hogan and Austin can't really be compared because of their different eras. Austin in 98-99 drew more money for the company than anyone EVER. Hogan was a draw for fifteen years in FIVE different promotions in the United States and Japan. I'd lean towards Hogan as being the biggest draw ever, but like I said, it's really tough to compare. Rock and Austin is a little easier. Austin as a face champion drew more for the company than ANYTHING from 97-2003. Austin as a heel champion bombed because people didn't want that. Rock, in 2001, was STILL a face, no changes to his character whatsoever, and he drew ratings of high 4s. Austin was the bigger wrestling draw, no question.

What would be the best creative team possible?
Angle-plex replied to Downhome's topic in The WWE Folder
I definetly agree with the midget vs Vis comedy thing. I enjoyed it - it was something different. It was a fun little match that the crowd could enjoy without expecting these guys to bring psychology, spots, or meaning to the match (they couldn't even if they tried, so they didn't). I remember reading about post-RAW matches, just for the live audience, that seem to incorporate this same kind of humor. They should really try to put some of that into their shows more often instead of having the same basic match four/five times a night with different workers involved. -
RAW was the worst wrestling show I've ever seen, and was so bad that Smackdown couldn't do anything to make wrestling as a whole worthwhile in 2002. Especially post-WrestleMania X8 with the horrible Bradshaw/Bubba Ray Dudley pushes, Triple H/Undertaker feud from hell, and Katie Vick (although the episode with the Triple H corpse fucking, Kane's threat of rape, and the hhhonk is legendary).
-
Nah...Cena is ok, but when he says something and the crowd doesn't react, he feels like he's failed, so he says something even LOUDER than before. It sounds REALLY forced and is obvious he's going for a reaction, and he'll keep talking louder and faster until he gets one. JBL is horrible. Triple H is a great speaker, but like Rudo said, they just give him WAY too much time. He does speak clearly, has good timing, ect. HBK is a guy I think isn't given enough credit to promo-wise as well.
-
No cities confirmed for No Mercy, Armageddon, or New Year's Revolution. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Maybe Armageddon is going to be replaced by Starrcade! </joke> <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I hear that's actually supposed to happen right before RAW switches to Nitro and Raven's Flock return.
-
For some reason I see HBK staying/going back to being a face after this thing with Hogan is done, or they're at least keeping the option open with how he's acted so far. I think Jericho has a better chance than most here do, but Cena's probably going ot keep the belt.

But when will Heidenreich become a drunk and fall off the titantron?
-
Really good main event. I thought Steve was going to win the decision. Much better show than RAW.
-
Thoughts: -Eugene/Kurt was pretty stupid. I especially loved how Eugene no-sold the Angle slam by easily reversing the Ankle Lock and dancing around seconds after Angle hit it. -Shelton proved that he can't deliver a promo with more than one line tonight, just as I figured he would. The guy was stumbling all over the words. The guy needs to work on his delivery if he wants to be in a major feud. -Edge vs Kane. Hardy attacks Edge. Yawn. I've seen this the past three weeks. -HBK promo was really good. -The Midget/Vis thing was weird and bad, but at least they tried something new.

JBL, to me, reeks of midcard. He has certainly gotten better since last year, but he's kind of like Jeff Jarrett - a somewhat talented performer who isn't talented enough nor enough of a draw to be World Champion. Most of Bradshaw's PPV matches were gimmick matches (even making a "barbwire" cage match), and that was to cover up that the fact that he really isn't very good. His non-gimmick title defenses (vs Undertaker, vs Booker) SUCKED and JBL brought nothing to the table in either match. None of his PPV matches stand up against the other guys in the main events. He's also never made me want to buy a PPV because of him. Nobody in history has ever said they wanted to buy a ticket to [wrestling event] so that they could see the Bradshaw match on the card. His mic work is basic heel stuff. His in-ring work is ok, but he lacks pacing, story-telling ability, and the ability to covey emotion to suck the audience into the match. RVD was just discussed in another thread.
-
No one should ever think "Orlando Jordan needs an opponent". <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But he's such a big name that if he was left off the card completely, chaos would ensue.
-
Edge vs Kane will suck like all of their matches do. I hope to GOD that Hardy isn't driving/in the ambulance, as everyone and their mother is predicting it. The Battle of the Bands will be embarassing. The buildup to Jericho/Cena is getting to be as bad as Steiner/Triple H at Royal Rumble 2003. And If I see Carlito vs Shelton, Carlito/XXX vs Shelton/XXX, or any comination of a match that feature Carlito and Shelton, I'm quickly going to see what else is on TV tonight.
-
Because the win did nothing for Jordon. All it showed was that he sucks so bad the he can't beat anyone, and that the only way he has a CHANCE to beat anyone is by using weapons and/or interference. Not exactly "putting him over". Eddie's loss wasn't that bad, as long as the keep the story going. Christian's loss was a horrible choice. Booker T is a old guy that SUCKS, and his number of offensive moves seems to decrease weekly. Why they put him over ANYONE at this point is beyond me.
-
He should have used a new concept rather than bring back a (probably) lame version of ECW.
-
Probably the best option at this point.

We all remember last year's AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL WWE Title match at SummerSlam. Do they REALLY want to have a worst WWE Title match of the year 2004 rematch + Batista to headline SummerSlam? That would be brutal. JBL vs Batista....they supposedly didn't light the world on fire last night, nobody was interested the first time, and nobody would be interested in a rematch. Batista vs Taker or Batista vs Orton vs Taker would be the best way to go, although that would mean that RANDY ORTON would be the best worker in the World Title match at the second biggest PPV of the year. ...and Undertaker getting arrested for Hassan's murder would SUCK because WWE will make it over the top serious.
