*cries* Desparately tries to see if Montreal is/was any good. The revolving door continues for me! Indianapolis, Atlanta, Seattle, Las Vegas and now Montreal, whoo

Yippee!! I am the career leader in triples and stolen bases, wahoo!
-
Wow...maybe I gave Seattle a big service by leaving heh. Not only do they win the championship but I also have a damn good season again after 2 horrible ones for them. What's the record for stolen bases in a career? I'm almost at the 600 mark(I'm at 568 now). I also have a career 81.1% success rate in SB's, whoo.

If they had Danny Kolb, Kolb would likely have 29-30 saves out of those 31 opportunities.

The Shield, season 3. Official Thread

Man, looks like Lem torched all of it whilst leaving I'd guesstimate something $3 Mill or so. How much did they originally pull in the heist? -

Man...could they be trying to show Lem disassociating from the group anymore obvious? -
Everybody knows that Oakland, Toronto and Boston are "moneyball" teams but did anybody else find it interesting that St. Louis had a Moneyball type draft? 40 college players taken, 4 high schoolers and 3 junior college players. San Francisco also had a bit ofa Moneyball approach with 34 college players selected, 10 high schoolers and 5 junior college players. For comparison: Boston was 31/13/5, Oakland was 35/5/4(1st team to stop making picks), Toronto was 35/5/12 and Los Angeles was 16/22/14. Arizona was also targeting college players, taking 30.

Red Sox drafted Tom Caple out of San Diego making me super happy. Guy had 55 BB's and 28 K's in 206 AB's, hit around .320 with a .498 OBP.

Seattle'll take it in 7

Good news for Boston, Nomar could return to tonight's lineup which should be a sight to see.

Well, I wrote down the 2004 stats of 71 guys for Excel and so far 14 have been drafted. I'm surprised guys like Jed Lowrie, Tom Caple and Eric McNamee haven't been drafted yet.

Since it's been recalled from the drudge, here's my updated desktop. I have way too many icons too.

I Gary Oldman so I can't wait to see how he looks as Commish Gordon

Kansas City is iffy because they could trade Beltran later on and Cleveland is turning into a solid ballclub. If the injury bug doesn't bite Cincinnati then the Reds could easily out finish Milwaukee but the concern is there. Houston and Chicago is a major tossup as both teams are similar in that they have good lineups and very good rotations.

I say they impeach the principal or however they get rid of them for not having her staff investigate or even call the police...WTFH? -
I like the Sox selection of Clay Meredith in the 6th round. MR who could turn into a SP similar to Jon Papelbon from last year's draft. 2004 stats, 2.55 ERA in 67 IP with 12 BB and 84 K's. 2003 he had a 1.19 ERA in 60.1 IP with 16 BB and 70 K's.

Trade him to Las Vegas!

I'm liking the A's draft more and more. Michael Rogers ranked 6th in x(I'm assuming Extrapolated?)Runs Saved Above Aerage(with 100 being average) ahead of guys like Wade Townsend, J.P. Howell and David Purcey and Jason Windsor was ranked 2nd behind only Jered Weaver and these rankings were out of the Top 100 Division I NCAA pitchers. Here's the Link

Really liking the A's draft so far, esp. the picks of Powell, Putnam, Street, Rogers and Suzuki. Also love Boston's pick of Pedroia too, 25 extra base hits out of 69 total and 33 BB's vs 10 K's. I'm looking forward to seeing who takes Brad Canada(Bradley University).

Oakland is making an absolute killing in this draft, no surprise. - Landon Powell - Richie Robnett - Danny Putnam - Huston Street - Michael Rogers(Miguel Tejada pick) - Kurt Suzuki Also quite happy that Boston took Dustin Pedroia, a guy who had a 1.168 OPS with 25 extra base hits and a BB vs K ratio of 3:1(33 BB's vs 10 K's)

For those interested in catching the MLB Draft on MLB.com MLB.com's Jonathan Mayo will be the show's host, joined by analysts Fred Claire (Dodgers general manager from 1987-98) and Darryl Hamilton (Milwaukee's 11th-round pick in 1986). They will go live at 12:50 p.m. ET Monday, June 7, with a preview of the draft, giving a look at the top prospects as well as an interview with Roy Krasik, senior director of Major League Operations, who will explain how the process works. Then the draft begins at 1 p.m.

Anyone else stoked about the MLB draft taking place on June 7th-8th? You can hear it at MLB.com, and it's caused me to start scouring the college names coming in. A good site to see the list of entries is http://www.hardballtimes.com/main/article/...ted-statistics/ as well as MLB.com which is having a draft site located here http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/draftday/y2004/index.jsp which also has videos of most of the players as well as articles, etc.
