Harlequins add some speed and much needed hits(177) to the lineup as well as our only 100+ run scorer

Hey Evo, you going to transfer this to OOTP 6 upon its release?

Really nice episode, quite a few interesting points coming up

Love the panther shot, not big on the whole red deal though on the banner. I also don't like the city scape background but I like the Aliens style font. Not sure if I like the things above the picture of the person and below the panther either. Yup, helpful enough? *g*

I just use the PowerDVD program for screen caps of DVD's... IIRC: You need a VideoCard and a Video Capture device, you could probably get these at a local Best Buy or other electronics store.

Just acquired Bill Hall(Milwaukee, 2B/SS) off waivers. He's having a superb spring hitting wise and is making a charge towards possibly starting for the club if he keeps up his hot streak.

Secret Window - 8/10 -Johnny Depp was just great in this, doing a great job as seems usual with him(I love him as an actor so that doesn't hurt) -Good ending too, somewhat caught me by surprise Haf Past Dead - 1/10 -Don't ask...

Flik's League: My strongest easily as my lineup's very solid up and down as is my rotation. Dr. Tom's league: Very good lineup all around and probably my best rotation in any of the leagues. NL: Decent rotation to go along with a good, if not questionable lineup. AL: My lineup's pretty decent as is my rotation though some guys worry me(Washburn and Ainsworth)

Gotham Harlequins vs EL KABONG~! Slapnuts - This is a very evenly matched contest although the real question mark for the Slapnuts will be the relievers. The pitching staff looks pretty even although Glavine and Redman could prove to be question marks for both squads. 11-8-3(Harlequins for the slightly better pitching staff) Crimson Storm vs Night Rangers - Lineup is clearly in the Night Rangers' favor although the pitching leans towards Crimson who also has a better bench in terms of pitching. Neither team has a good set of relievers IMO which shouldn't hurt either that much. 12-11-1(Night Rangers for the offense and the still capable staff) *This could turn into the game of the week* Pawtucket Red Sox vs FEAR THE CHECKLIST~! - Both teams have very solid offenses although Checklist loses Sheffield who hurts quite a bit as Jason Bay will likely take his place and Charles Johnson will likely end up with some playing time. Advantage here still goes to Checklist for the power mixed in with the runs and average. Both rotations are also solid and are pretty much dead even. 14-6-4(Checklist simply for the offense being better then the Pawsox although the rotation is still just as good) 1000% Guapos vs Wart's Whackos - Guapos have the slightly better offense however Wart does have the power advantage although there are a few questions concerning Munson, Payton and Hidalgo. Neither rotation is really fantastic although Guapos has the slight advantage with Willis, Hampton and Smoltz. If Urbina can get signed, then the advantage swings to Wart. 13-10-1(Wart's Whackos for the power potential mixed in with average as well as a capable staff even if Urbina doesn't get signed) Small Red Machine vs The Worst Team - Worst Team clearly has the better offense in this one. Red Machine has the slight power however Worst Team can make up for it with his bench. Worst Team has the advantage in pitching thanks to Wood, Mulder and Harden who are all capable starters. Isringhausen and Wagner are also very solid relievers. Graves could prove to be a question mark for the Red Machine. 15-6-3(Worst Team in a pretty easy victory) Chicago White Sux vs Brockvegas Posse - White Sux has the better offense although Posse could surprise however their bench is severely lacking and Speizio is a bad hitter. The rotation looks pretty even although a slight advantage would be given to the Posse for the depth and the fact that they have 3 starters vs White Sux's 2. 13-7-4(White Sux solely for their great offense) Fear the Slayers vs Rebels of Oakland - Both offenses look to be solid though I would give the slight nod to Rebels here. Rebels have a very underrated rotation IMO and could prove to be great. 14-5-5(Rebels takes this one pretty easily) NuclearSledgehammers vs Serenity - I like Nuclear's offense quite a bit although Serenity's could surprise in this offense but the big Q's are around Brian Roberts, Kaz Matsui and Phelps. Both rotations look good although I'd give the slight advantage to Nuclear for his relievers. 11-10-3(Nuclear for the offense and the solid pitching) #1: The Worst Team: 15/23 = 65% #2T: Rebels of Oakland: 14/23 = 61% #2T: FEAR THE CHECKLIST~!: 14/23 = 61% #4T: Wart's Whackos: 13/23 = 57% #4T: Chicago White Sux: 13/23 = 57% #6: Crimson Storm: 12/23 = 52% #7T: Gotham Harlequins: 11/23 = 49% #7T: Night Rangers: 11/23 = 49% #7T: Nuclear Sledgehammers: 11/23 = 49% #10T: 1000% Guapos: 10/23 = 43% #10T: Serenity: 10/23 = 43% #12: EL KABONG~! Slapnuts: 8/23 = 35% #13: Brockvegas Posse: 7/23 = 31% #14T: Pawtucket Red Sox: 6/23 = 26% #14T: Small Red Machine: 6/23 = 26% #16: Fear the Slayers: 5/23 = 22%

Bolstered my club somewhat by dropping Castilla for a very capable Edgardo Alfonzo. Also got another starter who could surprise this season in Jason Davis(Dropped Chad Bradford due to the lack of strikeouts).

...Possible for the WWE to seem important again?
HarleyQuinn replied to The Amazing Rando's topic in General Wrestling
Raw: Singles: Batista, Benoit, Jericho, Christian, Kane, Orton, Steiner, HBK, Test, HHH, Edge, Flair, and Matt Hardy Tag Teams: Booker/RVD, Dudleyz, La Resistance, The Vanilla Connection, Canadian Swingers Women: Jazz, Lita, Molly, Trish, Victoria Heat: Maven, Rico, Spike Dudley, Stevie Richards, Tommy Dreamer (various other OVW guys can come in) Smackdown: Singles: A-Train, Big Show, Eddie, Cena, Angle, Rhyno, SOH, Taker Tag Teams: FBI, Bashams, Too Cool, Japanese Mafia, WGTT, The Superheroes Cruisers: Kidman, Funaki, Chavo, Noble, Nunzio, London, Rey Mysterio, Shannon Moore, Tajiri, Ultimo Velocity: Billy Gunn, Hardcore Holly, Matt Morgan, Orlando Jordan I would also toss occasional Raw stars onto Heat/Velocity(if kept) like Rhyno, Eddie and Cena occasionally appearing on Velocity while Kane, Benoit, HBK appear sometimes on Heat. This makes them more appealing to the average fan and gives them a sense of importance like it had back in the late 90's. Now...that looks odd...but I would divide feuds out in a way that would keep everything fair and even. I also would not allow the Raw/SD announcers to mention Heat/Velocity (unless for storyline purposes) and instead give the Heat/Velocity announcers there own segment on Raw/SD to talk about the upcoming show and pimp it a little. Adds more meaning to them (or so I would think). If they want to be looked at as 'separate' brands then I would completely denounce any and all mention of the opposing show from the announcers with the exception of an opposing wrestler appearing on their show/cutting a promo on the opposing wrestler. Also the wrestlers/announcers would stand up for their company no matter what, includes trash talking those who jump(Ex: Brock shows up on Raw and ambushes Austin. Austin returns the favor on Smackdown, they cut opposing promos) Feuds: Each Brand would have 10 feuds going on at all times... yes...10... not all would be important...but there... Raw: 1 World Title feud 1 IC Title feud 2 other feuds 1 Women's Title feud 1 Tag Team Title feud Heat: 2 singles feuds 1 tag feud 1 women's feud SD: 1 World title feud 1 US title feud 1 other heavyweight feud 1 Cruiser Title feud 1 Tag Team Title feud 1 other cruiser feud Velocity 1 heavyweight feud 1 tag team feud 2 cruiserweight feuds Now...this would not take care of EVERYONE...but the feuds happening on Heat and Velocity would be kinda like contendership feuds or call-up feuds that those guys are in to get up to Raw or SD. It keeps you paying attention to the B shows to see who will be moving up to the A shows...and it keeps you watching the A shows cause there is always something happening with a good number of people. I have my own ideas for these feuds, and they involve moving people around (as you can see, Rosey/Hurricane move to SD) and turning them between heel and face to fit the molds. I like this idea a lot as it would make everybody somewhat usefel and get them over in the long run by making fans care about them. Other Ideas: Now, me and Downhome then began talking about the PPVs...and I had an idea for Survivor Series and one for the Rumble. First off...SurSer... Now, the week after WM ends, a point system would begin. I see it going this way: Points = Action 2 = Win -1 = Loss 4 = Title win 3 = Title retention -3 = Title loss -2 = Title shot loss -5 = Draws, No Contests, etc (making them something that really means something if they happen) This makes winning and losing mean something, and even the titles mean a bit more as keeping them not only keeps you a champion, but gets you points for a tally... show the weekly tally at the end of every show and show BOTH during Confidential to keep people updated. I like this idea although the points system seems a little odd in some aspects. Draws/NC's costing so much and a loss costing less then a win. Now...with 4 weeks left until SurSer (after the 6 months between WM and this time) the points would rack up and at this four week mark...the top four guys would be made team leaders (for a total of 8 teams, 4 from Raw & 4 from SD) and they would get to choose 3 teammates... champions would be included in this Now...with 2 weeks until SurSer...the 8 teams have 4 matches..and the four survivors go to SurSer and have 3 more matches (Raw vs. Raw, SD vs. SD, Raw vs. SD) The surviving teams wins bragging rights and something to be named in a moment. I fucking LOVE this idea. I wonder, would it continue down the ladder for the rest of the 4 on 4 matches in terms of point standings? What if there're 5 wrestlers tied at 1 point level or even just 2? Do they have a match to decide who gets chosen? Now...onto the Royal Rumble... As the weeks count down, 9 guys from each brand (18 total) will draw and reveal their entrant numbers for the Rumble...leaving 12 others with unkown numbers... except for 1 & 30... which is were SurSer comes in... the winning team of the SurSer tourny has a four way match...the winner gets the 30 spot... the losing team has a mini-tourny... losers of the first two matches fight...and the loser of THAT gets the number 1 spot. That way when it comes down to it... 20 numbers will be known, 10 will not... The Road to WM can remain the same for all I care. I like this idea although I'd probably cut it down to 15 known, 15 unknown. I despise knowing who the #1 and #30 entrants are so I'd can anybody from getting those on live TV as it ruins the experience IMO of wondering who's got both. Fan Involvement Now, as for how to get the fans into it...I say each brand brings in one new face to comb the crowd and interview the fans (not plants...FANS) and ask them questions about what they are watching or upcoming shows/PPVs and then air them before/after commercials...Even go as far as pick out a "sign of the week" or something...who knows. House Shows can also be brought in...give 60-90 seconds around 9:40 or 10:20 on Raw & SD and have the announcers cover what has been going on at house shows, showing video if possible, or at least pictures and maybe an interview or two with a wrestler or a house show fan. I love the sign of the week idea. I'd probably devote 5 minutes to the 'House Show' circuit and show clips of various matches to give fans a more urgent feeling of attending and maybe point out matches that haven't been seen on TV before. I also like the interview idea though I'd probably keep it to fans to give it a more personal feel to other fans. I think that is pretty much all our conversation came up with, most of this crap was MY idea by the way, Downhome just listened and marked out. Thanks for reading, and keep flaiming to a minimum... Done and....Done ~ Rando. -
Ironically, I've read interviews that Michelle read comics featuring Catwoman in order to get a true feel for her character too

Looking at my team now, my team could be a potential sleeper candidate. Lineup's solid enough with players like Floyd, Burrell(Who should have a great rebound season), Lo Duca, Rolen and Kent. My rotation's the real question mark though. All my starters had at least 9 wins last season(9, 12, 14, 18) and Kolb should blossom this year if he maintains last year's performance though I'm not expecting another sub 2 ERA. My staff isn't big in terms of K's which might hinder them and the ERA's a little high for my liking but I'm hoping that I can get Williams and Miller both down to the 3.70 ERA area at least and that Zach Day can come in and improve on his 4.18 ERA for the Expos. Cory Lidle's a huge ? as he had a 5.75 ERA last year and pitching in Cincy likely won't help matters although he had ERA's of 3.89 and 3.59 in the 2 years prior to last year.
-
Well, my rotation could be decent or just die so nothing saying there. Relievers are solid enough I think. Lineup scares the hell out of me as I basically have nobody I can just out and out trust to produce aside from Scott Rolen and Jeff Kent and Kent's getting up there in age.

Congrats, hope you get custody and everything works out smoothly in the future

Whoo *prepares to get screwed draft wise* This'll be a damn difficult draft IMO just because of the fact that I'm more of an AL boy so I'll have to get by on luck

Apparently the text size cursor went down to miniscule, unfortunately I can't remember how to get it back to normal size. Anybody?

I'll give a lengthier defense later on but all 4 of my starters had great ERA's(with the exception of Lowe who still won 17 games despite missing almost all of spring training.) Mota should see some more save opportunities if Gagne needs a rest. Personally, I'm settling more for an overall feel in terms of my pitchers and will gladly take the lack of solid K's if it means that my starters win at least 15 games each(Which is a good possibility) and have sub 3.50 ERA's. Smoltz will likely get 40+ saves again as the Braves still have hitters like Chipper, Andruw, J.D. Drew, Furcal and Giles in their lineup. Carl Everett should have a great year hitting at Hiram Bithorn Stadium(Assuming all home games are there correct?) and can be depended on for 20-30 HR's and 80-100 RBI's. Charles Johnson I'll probably use as a backup for LeCroy in case LeCroy starts to stumble. Johnson's pretty much just an insurance policy but could do well in Colorado, 15-20 HR's and 60-80 RBI's I'd expect. Vinny Castilla I may drop although he has been decent to solid in terms of HR's and RBI's which should improve thanks to the thin air of Coors Field despite the lack of OBP. Derek Lowe should have a better season then last year and revert to his 2002 form when he won 20+ games. The addition of Pokey Reese at defense will help him a lot, as it's a great improvement over Todd Walker and the rest of the offense is good enough that Pokey won't really be relied on for power. I may also drop one of my relievers for a suitable starter if there are any on the FA Market(I'm in school so I can't look right now) although 2 of my relievers(Smoltz and Mota) each had 95+ K's and Mota had more K's then IP.

Finally I figured out But it took a long, long time But now there's a turnabout Maybe 'cause I'm trying (pre chorus) There's been times, I'm so confused All my roads, They lead to you I just can't turn and walk away (chorus) It's hard to say what it is I see in you Wonder if I'll always be with you But words can't say, And I can't do Enough to prove, It's all for you I thought I'd seen it all 'Cause it's been a long, long time But then we'll trip and fall Wondering if I'm blind (Pre-chorus) (Chorus) Rain comes pouring down Falling from blue skies Words without a sound Coming from your eyes Finally I figured out But it took a long, long time But now there's a turnabout Maybe cause I'm trying (Pre-chorus) (Chorus-Chorus) It's hard to say It's hard to say It's all for you "All For You" - Sister Hazel Yes I dig the song but the lyrics really are just blah

Also Big Show weighs at least 385 being generous, the guy's punch is probably strong enough to break a guy's jaw with ease.

Whoa, really? Go Harlequins for actually not divebombing while the GM is in uh, AA or something...
