I agree that Joker is very effective on his own, obviously moreso then Harley/Ivy combined but Joker relishes the fact that he has a hand to help him out, just makes his job easier. Although Joker's far more effective without her, Harley is the one who does the minor deeds for him. Examples include the perfume on the banker in The Laughing Fish, keeping watch over Catwoman in Almost Got 'Im amongst others that aren't coming to me right now.

Yeah, Joker's used her merely as a pawn and as an aid. Although I think in the end, Joker needs her more then Harley needs him as Harley is capable of teaming up with others(Ivy) however most everyone despises Joker so without Harley he's basically doing everything on his own(Thus his needing a new "Harley" in Joker's Millions).

She doesn't "enjoy" it which is what most people assume. It mirrors the marriage abuse cycle in that the abused continues to go back to the abuser in hopes of either them changing or just out of hopeless love. Heck, Harley admitted to Batman in this episode that they have gone to "couple counseling" so it's not the fact that she likes it, but rather that she just takes it. Harley's bemoaned her situation numerous times(Mad Love comes to mind when she begins to recount the tale of how she met him and Harlequinade when she tells Batman that she doesn't think Joker is the right guy for her). She also seems to be very clingy to him and very possessive of his attention(As shown in Joker's Millions when Joker tries to find a new woman to replace her).

LOVED last night's episode. Spoiler (Highlight to Read): OMG @ Hawkgirl not only unmasking but finally kissing Green Lantern. I found it great when Harley nailed BATS, I wasn't expecting that. Also the trend with Harley getting her ass kicked by Joker continues *sigh*. Sort of hoping Harley would nail J but oh well. I totally dug Ace's character the most though I also liked the motivation behind the black guy(King?) wanting to show that he was stronger then Superman and not caring at all about the bomb. Also loved the slow-mo of Flash getting rid of the bomb. Can ya tell I loved this episode? Heh...

Whoa...8 differing games between Me & Raz. Looks like it'll be a close one. I'm confident on Seattle, Jacksonville, New England and Philadelphia but the others(Especially Washington/Giants) are all a toss up IMO.

Hey Bored, looking at the history of the World Series(Since 1903) the Red Sox and Pirates are tied in terms of World Series won at 5 apiece. The Red Sox won the 1903 WS over the Pirates(hah!) although they were then known as the Boston Pilgrims.

Yeah, It's more like the chaser(Boston) going after the champion(New York) only to get repeatedly beaten in some form(*cough*Aaron Fucking Boone*cough*).

No denying the Red Sox, and Yankees have been the most active teams. But, do you really think the media which for the most part is in on the East Coast, would have same interest if a team in the midwest, or west coast was doing the same thing Boston and New York where doing? Honestly, I don't think it's some sort of conspiracy, you just tend to have more of an interest in the teams around you're area. So ESPN, covering the Red Sox/ Yankees isn't suprising. I'm just tired of it personally. I think the media would focus on it quite a bit. Consider the magnitude of the moves made as well(Schilling, Sheffield, new manager in Francona) so it's not just because it's the Yanks/Sox either as they are pretty big in magnitude. When the Astros traded for Randy Johnson in 99(That right?) it was a fairly big deal on ESPN and most news areas. Same went for when A-Rod signed the $252 Mil contract with Texas. I was looking and found this kind of interesting actually. The Yankees have appeared in 36 World Series(Under the Yankee name) and have gone 26-10 for a winning % of 72. The Red Sox have only gone to 8 World Series under that name but have gone 4-4 for a % of 50. Ironically, the last time the Sox won the World Series was over the Cubbies in 1918.

1) Yanks/Sox have a storied rivalry and there's no denying that. This is the main reason behind this "East Coast" bias which is stupid for you to even call it that since the only thing East Coast wise the media care about is Boston/Yanks. If the media was truly East Coast biased they'd also be reporting a lot on Florida, the Mets, Baltimore and Toronto. 2) As far as I've seen, the Sox/Yanks and some of the other East Coast teams are the only ones who have done anything major so far and if you're a part of the media, you want to go after the big stories.

Here's my prediction: The Toronto Bluejays will manage to sneak into the Playoffs via the Wild Card after beating the Yankees on the final day of the season in a one game playoff. Blue Jays face off against the Athletics and manage to get to the ALCS where they lose to the Red Sox. The Sox then manage to take on and defeat the Atlanta Braves in 7 games.

I also think Season 4 had the better standalone eps then Season 1 and might overall be better but I still liked Season 1 quite a bit. I specifically enjoyed "The Pack" and "Nightmares" as well as the ones mentioned, ironically though it also has two episodes that I absolutely despise in "The Puppet Show" and "Teacher's Pet"

Well, considering hitting is considered offense I think it would be safe to call fielding as defense since it's the only way to stop the ball.

From ESPN's ticker thing, The Detroit Tigers reportedly signed 3B/DH Dean Palmer to a minor league deal. Good deal IMO as Dean is capable of 15-20 HR's if called up and is a decent fielder.

*amen* Anybody else notice that most of the "good" (I use that term loosely) gimmicks tend to be created by the better posters.

The main reason Season 1 was only 12 eps and was "spotty" was because it was essentially a pilot season that the station(WB at the time IIRC) was looking at to see if the show was any good. As others have said, Season 2 and 3 rock the casbah so to speak(Though Season 2 has a lot of filler eps but they all contribute to the main arc somehow as would've been shown in my TSM essay which Dames never completed, heh). Season 3 is my fav. season despite not yet having it on DVD(See my Xmas list answer). Season 4 has a decent arc however the greatness comes in the standalone episodes(Hush, Restless and others). Season 5 also has a great arc and is pretty similar to Season 3 in terms of mixing great episodes with a great arc. Watching Season 1 by itsself won't corrale any new fans in(With the apparent exception of Mole, heh) however if you watch the next seasons as well then you feel more for the characters as well as the storylines involving each.

I'm watching I Am Sam right now and It's honestly the saddest movie I've seen...
