I predict the AL East to be... #1: Boston Red Sox/New York Yankees #2: Whomever doesn't finish first #3: Toronto Blue Jays #4: Tampa Bay Devil Rays(You heard me!) #5: Baltimore Orioles(Their pitching staff sucks too hard and their offense is miserable, even with the possible acquisition of Guerrero/and or Tejada)

NFC East and the NFC West look to be the closest divisions in terms of anybody being able to win. -

Why this folder sucks in '03

Damn...well my world's been shattered as well by the coming out of Prime or whatever. -
My Top 10 for the 2004 HOF after looking at Baseball-Reference Paul Molitor(3,319 hits, 504 SB's and a career .309 BA) Dennis Eckersley(197-171 record, 390 Saves, career 3.50 ERA) Rich Gossage(124-107 record, 310 saves, career 3.01 ERA) Andre Dawson(2,774 hits, 438 HR's, career .279 BA, career .983 fielding % as an OF) Jime Rice(2,452 hits, 382 HR's, career .298 BA, career .980 FP as an OF) Ryne Sandberg(2,386 hits, career .285 BA, career .989 FP as a 2B) Lee Smith(478 saves, career 3.03 ERA) Dave Parker(2,712 hits, career .290 BA, 339 HR's) Steve Garvey(2.599 hits, career .294 BA, career .996 FP as a 1B(over 2,000 games) Tommy John(288-231 record, 162 CG's, career 3.34 ERA) I was also surprised at how damn good Steve Garvey was. Especially as a fielder

Polanco's an average offensive player looking at his career. He's a solid hitter usually hitting a little above .280 or so. RBI's don't mean much as that largely depends on his teammates and how often they can get on base but as long as they have Thome, he should be a fair RBI producer(50-75 range per year). He doesn't strike out much however he doesn't walk as much as he possibly could. He set a career high of only 42 walks this past season(I'm aware it was only in 492 AB's) so his OBP isn't that great but if he improves his walks then that'll only improve the Phils. As far as the stealing goes, he's not much of a base threat since his previous high was only 12 SB's. He is solid in terms of not getting caught which means a fairly high & rate but the fact that he runs so little doesn't make it that impressive. I'd rather keep Nomar and trade for a better 2B.

I definitely like the Front 4 for the Sox rotation after this trade. Pedro, Schilling, Lowe(Great at Fenway & solid on the road) and Wakefield who when on, is almost unhittable as shown in the playoffs.

I have Cincy, Washington and St. Louis going for me. I'm confident in Cincy and Washington so I should get the win...now watch Washington & Cincy choke -
1947-1948 Providence Steamrollers had a 6-42 record(.125%) however that's only out of 48 games. I think Angelslayer's right in the 72-73 Sixers as their winning % was .110

This place has always sucked. All it's been good for is the occassional flamewar which unfortunately(or fortunately depending on who you ask) has seemed to die the way of the dinosaurs lately. -
